I’ve been on keto for about a month. Fluctuating between where I started and 2 pounds UP. But I’m off all blood sugar meds and BP meds. So hesitant to change even though not losing weight.

So many people don't consider micronutrients, great to see you talk about it's importance. I've just learned about Bruce Ames and his great work on micros.

do you have a KZbin video that goes over how to use and setup the Cronometer app to reflect your specific macro calculator results? Also I would only like to use the free version of cronometer if possible Thanks for the help

Good video but I thought you had to do IF for this to work. I've got so many questions....

Fasting helps, but is no where near as important as energy balance, macros and micros

I’m sure when he said don’t worry about it he meant this for beginners. IF happens almost naturally when you start eating enough at each meal. You’re not hungry. I nearly never eat breakfast but I do have butter coffee. I’ve been fine.

Maybe you might benefit from a coach, but you could also try the 5 day carb cleanse, which helps deal specifically with cravings www.fatforweightloss.com.au/the-5-day-carb-cleanse-registration/

Just stick to whole foods for 30 days. Nothing packaged. Meats and eggs, dark green veggies, avocado, butter, olive oil, natural salt, and lots of water. It may seem basic, but it's an amazing way to do it. If you're okay with dairy then you can have heavy cream and cheeses as well☺

Carb, sugar cravings and sometimes a lot of hunger usually lasts the first 7-14 days (if you follow keto strictly), then it just kinda goes away! And the lack of energy get's better over the weeks. When you start getting fat adapted (6-8 weeks) you get a lot of extra energy that lasts long, that get's better how more fat adapted you get!

Keto diet is the regimen, where you eat in that way that your body uses fat for fuel instead of carbs (bread, rice, pasta, potatoes etc). He is explaining what we might be doing wrong, when we don't loose weight (it's not only a diet for weightloss but health), when that is the intention. In order to loose weight, we should check also: calories intake vs out (how much we eat, how much we burn during the day), plus that we consider not only to have a low intake on carbs, but also to eat our vegetables (micronutrients), healthy fats (olive oil, avocado oil, mct oil, grassfed butter) etc. Macronutrients are: Proteins (meat, fish, eggs etc), Fats (oil, butter, nuts etc), Carbs in the traditional way would be rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, which in this diet we try to have the intake over vegetables with less carbs (green leaves, spinach, zuccini, bell peppers etc), more net carbs (sugar/glucose) as the veggies help our guts to work propperly on this diet. And normally most people combine it with Intermitted Fasting 16/8. 8 hrs eat window, and 16hrs fasting. For more understanding, you might want to consider to look this diet up. Hope I could help to have a general idea, what he is explaining us ;)

The Agoge diet is a much better option than keto. It's well structured, diverse and peronalized. Keto is just unhealthy and very hard to adhere to.

Energy balance is key, but without the proper macro balance and micronutrient density there could be serious issues.

Cal in cal out is old if not wrong science. I highly recommend “The Obesity Code” by Dr. Jason Fung. It’s all about the hormones, particularly insulin.
