Trisha has a talent of making people feel comfortable enough to divulge deep traumas it’s really insane and impressive
@LoryBelle11 ай бұрын
I have this “talent”, or I’d say ability ,as well! Every time I’m in an Uber I somehow accidentally get the drivers full life story, hopes and dreams and deepest traumas within literally 5 minutes. I’ve definitely noticed Trisha is the same way! I think in order to be that kind of person, it’s not JUST about making others feel comfortable, being a good listener, or being really engaged in a conversation. That’s part of it of course, but it’s also about being seem (by vibe alone) as a totally non-threatening and non-judging person, a genuine empath, and someone who has been through serious struggle, trauma, hardship, and understands what that actually means in the real world. That last part is crucial, because it you have all the previous qualities, but you haven’t been kicked in the ass by life and remain ignorant to the struggles people face… then people won’t want to share their struggles with you, because you wont likely understand or be able to provide any comfort or value to the conversation.

The way Leo explains the thoughts in a relationship hit the nail on the head with me. I think it's due to past abusive relationships, but I feel better when single, but lonely.. Then when dating someone, it just adds so much extra worry, cheating, are they okay, if something happened, etc.. It just sucks! When they'd not let me know when they are home right away, I'd be paranoid a crash happened on the highway and google it to make sure they are safe.. it's just constant stress.

What Leo is saying about changing behaviors reminds me a lot of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); it doesn’t work for EVERYONE, but the theory suggests that your thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all connected; if you start changing your thinking (through practice of first, ACKNOWLEDGING your thoughts/behaviors/feelings), then you can change your feelings which would in turn change your behaviors.

it takes a lot of practice but evidence shows that it is successful :) a licensed therapist, who specializes in CBT, is a great resource to assist with this!

Like she addresses her issues with weight etc and he never tries to give her advice for it UNLESS she asks him about how he manages his own diet. I think one of the biggest things im personally trying to work through is giving people unsolicited advice, i do it cause in my head i think ohhh i really wanna help this person sharing their problem with me cause i really love them and i want them to be better BUT i need to also realize that not everyone either looks up to you for advice or comes to you to seek advice. Biggest lesson for me is : Keep it to yourself unless they ask for advice

not this podcast coming out after i was writing in my journal and asking the universe to lead me in a direction that will help every thing happening to me make sense and leo giving me an entire tutorial on how to do just that

one of the BEST pisodes without a doubt, I was hesitant to watch it since I didn't know this guest, but I was craving listenting to Trish so much that I gave it a shot and now I love Leo, he is such carácter, so open and unapologetic, loved this ep !!!!

I really want Leo Skepi and Damon Dominique to meet. They need to have a conversation. They're both very philosophical and no bullsh*t KZbinrs. Thank you for this interview, Trish! You're killing it, mamas

This is one of my favorites so far aside from Brooke & Tana. Leo seems like such a complicated yet loving person … I’m gonna be thinking about this and the topics discussed for a while!

Leos comment about Noah's ark had me ON THE FLOOR! Trish, you truly pick the MOST interesting guests. Leo and Dr.Drew are two of my favorites so far, I can't wait to see which celebrities and internet personalities you bring on in the new year

The best duo is someone as aggressive as Leo and dramatic as Trish. Like her reaction when he’s talking about him fighting is everything. To be honest, this crossover is everything, because I listen to Leo for my self help and Trish for my entertainment. Church drops on Saturday and Sunday in this household 🥰🤭

I relate sooo much to how Leo’s brain works. Never felt more understood than when he was breaking down his thought processes. It’s so exhausting.

Sounds like he has BPD traits. ❤ The way he speaks about relationships, the thought of losing someone, etc.

i relate so much to needing to feel valued, literally the most triggering thing is someone not caring

The thought process behind the binge eating I don’t agree with. I’m sure it works for some people, but the healthiest way is to allow yourself to eat without guilt and shame. I struggled with bulimia/dysmorphia for over 10 years. But years before I started binging & purging, I developed disordered eating due to my mother shaming me for how much I ate & would always let me know when I looked “bigger.” Shame is the problem. When I allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted when I wanted without any guilt, THAT was when my desire to binge eat changed. It is a slow process, for sure. But healing from the shame is what forms self love & healthy habits. And unlearning my fatphobic upbringing was huge for me. The shame based thought process, even when it seems a *little nicer* ex: “I’m doing this for your own good” is not sustainable

This episode was fascinating! I’ve watched both of these people separately and would have never thought the chemistry would be so good between them. Trisha is a really good host, she’s so engaged with everyone and knows how to make people feel at ease.
