There's plenty going on, but having watched this show when it was on TV and recently binging it online, there's still soooo much filler and repetitiveness in each episode that hurts the pacing and makes it boring. Every major plot point was a killer, but the show could've done without or at least shortened the floofy padding conversations in every episode to focus on the Show Not Tell.

Watching a series has so much greater potential for success when streamed on Netflix because viewers can watch at their convenience, their schedule, no commercials, etc. I never even heard of Manifest until it came to Netflix. If Netflix intends to pick up the full 6 season series, it better announce that pronto because many viewers will not keep watching once they realize/discover that all they will be left with are a bunch of season three cliffhangers-blech...

Same here. I never heard of Manifest until I saw it on Netflix. I'm watching season 3 on Peacock now. I haven't been into a show since God Friended Me and longer than that prior to that. There's very little variety on TV so when you get a show like this you need to appreciate the diversity it brings to your programming. Shows like this need to pitched directly to streaming services because that's where people are now.

My first theory on this show is that there are two 282 planes. Plane 1 is where they dissapeared for 5 years and plane 2 is the plane that never made it. The voice and flashbacks are from their dopplegangers which is why sometimes they hear their own voice to do this and that. My second is that they are in an altered timeline where they survived the crash and landed being thrusted into 5 years in the future. Then they find the other plane from the original timeline where they crashed and touching the planes back fin was like stepping on a wrong bug in the past. I love this show

Could the cancellation simply be because the story was getting thin. At the beginning of SE:2 we knew who the Major was and one good character was killed, and the soap opera of affairs' and marriage's were on the rocks. It was renewed for season 4…… it’s going to have a 4th season in Autumn 2022…. It was confirmed on the Netflix site and on Netflix there’s “another season is coming” announcement…….. just not all at once… the episodes will be released in parts….

I cannot believe it was canceled 😒🤔 BUT We live in a new world so maybe I can believe it. 😔 .. I just binged watched watch the entire series to be complete disappointment that it will not be continued... it Is a great show great , it has great writing and fabulous acting.. Soo Disappointed..

manifest is currently #1 on Netflix's top 10 in U.S., so I am still baffled as to why it got cancelled.

Netflix and NBC are back talking about this after fans have streamed it enough to get it into Netflix's top 10 for several weeks. Sounds like it might be coming back after all. But hopefully it doesn't take 5 and a half years to come back.

I don't mean this in any way disrespectfully, but did we watch the same show? The idea is great but the execution is terrible. The only mystery for me is how much of the blame goes to bad acting and how much to bad writing. Most of the dialog sounds like it's an X Files parody and the rest are from Hallmark greeting cards. Full disclosure, I stopped after three episodes but I very strongly doubt that it was going to get better.
