NO…. Manmohan Singh WAS NOT the architect of modern India. It was the then Prime Minister Shri PV Narsimha Rao who laid the new foundation. MMS was a technocrat who helped implement the economic direction set by political leadership

Dr. Manmohan Singh and not Manmohan Singh or MMS. Please respect the education and scholarship of our late Prime Minister. He was indeed the architect of modern India, first as Finance Minister and then as Prime Minister. Political leadership can give direction, but it takes sheer genius to lay out economic foundations to stably steer a moribund economy to resurgence. I was a government employee and witnessed the droves of talented people who left government jobs in lure of the relatively high salaries then in the private sector. The 6th pay commission rectified this. Somehow people have an impression that government employees are nothing but lazy and corrupt beasts of burden who don't deserve stable salaries and can be subject to any whims as they "earn from taxes". Unlike the private sector, government employees have to provide constant and regular service, come rain or shine, so why should salaries be varied? The DA hike is linked to inflation anyways.

A very stupid pm...who gave into corruption of Congress leaders, never raised a voice abt 26/11. A jhatu economist who devalued currency. The commonly educated always will find his economic sense amazing 👌 , but only the really intelligent ones will sigh 😕 in shock 😲 and silence. Devaluing home currency is not an alchemy of economics that it will help one attain the ever lasting fountain of economic growth and prosperity. He even had the guts to say that muslims have the first right to Indias wealth. Result Waqf board.

The greatest mistake of UPA government was 6 th pay commission. Salary hike was excessive. Private companies jobs have no security. If companies don't do well they terminate employees even with one month notice. Government employees can not be terminated. Even their divorced and unmarried daughter gets pension. Now private company salaries have gone down by 20-50% or there's no increment. But government employees salary goes on increasing with da hike twice a year. This contributing to inflation. Why ₹55 diesel is bought at ₹92 to pay tax and give salaries. This is one of the main reason Cong not able to come back to power.
