If he is, he really should be more of a small character in Avengers 5(Whatever that is) then a villain unless they push back Avengers 5 even more. I think they should hold onto Kang and try again, even if it means recasting the variants. Putting Doom in to quickly fix thigns won't work out as well as they think but who knows whats actually going on. Kang is a character worth showing. Yeah it sucks for Jonathan majors but... leaving Kang dangling would feel weird. Even if they decided to just say the TVA dealt with them or Doom manhandling them. I dunno.... I think Doom needs to take more time first. Not worried but.. Kang potential maaan.

I'll restate what I've said earlier, I'm fine if they want to pivot to Doom. I like Kang as a character and would like to see the Avengers go up against him because there's so much potential there. Make the Avengers lose and have Doom defeat the Kangs. It would show how powerful Kang is but also how much more powerful Doom is when the Avengers assemble again to take him on in Secret Wars. Doom is now a bigger threat and even more interesting. As long as I get that I'm happy. What I would hate is for them to do is completely drop Kang now due to a lack of interest instead of recasting. If they were do that, then all this build up we've had for Kang through Loki, and Ant-Man 3 is just wasted. If they did a better job setting up Kang in the films I think people would be more interested. As it stands, he's only really been in one movie and a lot of people just felt disappointed. Personally I loved Kang in Ant-Man 3 and was excited to see how the Avengers beat a threat like this. Here's hoping this change still goes over well

Kang was never fully developed in the way Thanos was. Now I know we didn’t really get thanos until infinity war but there was a lot of build from other characters like Gamora or Nebula. He was referenced enough to recognize as a looming threat without giving too much away. Kang has had much less impact over the entirety of the MCU as it partains to the films. So removing him doesn’t REALLY make rhat big of an impact which is tbh kinda the issue with him. The fact that you can just throw him out IS the issue.

I guess, I like how Deadpool reintroduced Collosus. Then, in Deadpool 2, brought The Juggernaut back, more accurately. Those movies were able to use the characters, without explaining anything. Just have them in action scenes and build a relationship between the characters each befriended. I think Doom can be brought in how Black Panther and even Black Widow were. Get Doom fighting straightaway and then, explain his origin or give him a solo movie like the Wolverine franchise.

Even if they are going away from the Kang story, I think they should not just ignore it and at least have some sort of closure, temporary or permanent. As for the Avenger movies as a whole, the first few were done as a slow burn with a tease for a overall big bad that would eventually come. You don't need to rush Doctor Doom. You can have a different nemesis in a couple, then have him be the behind the scenes person responsible for all of it. The first one or two Avengers movies were all about seeing our heroes team up, regardless of who they needed to fight, as long as they were too tough for one Avenger. Now that the group has been changed, that formula can work again. Build anticipation for the next group and who will be in it and then have them team up a couple times. Then unleash a power that seems too much for even the group to handle.

I think introducing Dr Doom can be super easy- have a quick scene of the council of Kangs going nuts cause “he’s coming” then poof, Doom teleports in, and wipes the entire council out in one swoop of a magic spell enhanced with tech- Doom says something like “fools” then he teleports out- end scene lol

I am sort of sad that Kang has not worked out, given that he is a classic Avengers villain that should appeal to old comic book guys (like me). But, aside from the legal troubles of Majors, I just think the setup on Quantumania was poor (despite a solid performance from Majors) and the timeline stuff is just too convoluted for regular fans to follow/invest in, especially with some superhero fatigue creeping in. Hopefully, moving on from Kang helps Marvel get their bearings again.

Kang is a cool character but I never understood why they were making him the focal point of Secret Wars anyways. He wasn't that in the comics that I remember. They need to give the fans what they want, live action versions of the stories we love. They've done serious damage to their IP's as it is. As much as I don't like unfinished plotlines, I'm glad Majors is gone. Either due to his performance or direction he was given in both _Loki_ and _Quantumania_ the character of Kang was so irritating and awkward to watch even when compared to the rest of those works. Maybe it's a longshot here and perhaps not the most popular take but the writing from Avengers & Loki's ending may just enough to explain not seeing Kang again soon. If true to timeline protocol, every time displacement to the past in your own timestream creates a new timeline. If a new branch of time (timeline) is created...it therefore becomes the new reality/branch of that timeline (giving Loki & the TVA a very unique ability & responsibility when the sacred timeline was recreated). This is not a new concept or groundbreaking revelation. However, by changing the events that led to the "creation" of He Who Remains via Victor Timely (handing him the TVA handbook), that timeline is changed and new events are allowed to occur. The reset happens, and Kang can ultimately be used again in a different way later on if Marvel chooses. The consistent threat though has always been the multiversal incursions, those that are outliers to those incursions, the prevention of incursions, and the reality-breaking consequences (however they occur). It's definitely grand-scale but almost too big to be grounded in what we care about in terms of danger (weird how that works). We still need a driving force (character) for the multiversal war without Kang. This shifts the focus back to needing a main antagonist and allows Marvel to introduce characters like Doom (although IMO he should not be the only one) that have a pivotal role in shaping the overall threat. IMO, the current Kang storyline was distracting that focal point down to timelines which is why I'm not surprised they were planning a pivot. Oddly enough, it was easier to explain than world-build (universes). A few misguided writing sessions and you go left quickly in this grandiose of a story and various versions of the same characters.

I think the best way to introduce Doctor Doom is either through his own show with main cast character cameos to signify his importance. OR Try to make him a supporting character like they did with Loki and Wanda. But if they want to do either, it has to be done NOW since they're running out of time.

They missed a big chance when they decided to not tease dr doom in Wakanda Forever. Now they have lots of opportunities they cannot miss to introduce him and make him the new main villain: Armor Wars, the Iron Heart series, the Agatha Harkness series and, last but not least, the Fantastic Four movie. Then, it would be great if they could base Avengers 5 on the "Ultimate Power" storyline. That would be perfect for the plot of the movie, since it will deal with incursions between 2 different earths, introduce a team of villains that the Avengers would have to face (the Squadron Supreme) and, most important, it would have Dr Doom as the villain behind all! Will they be smart enough to do such a thing? We'll see 😀

What’s really upsetting about this Jonathan majors was only found guilty on the lesser charges for hurting her with no intent while defending himself. I hope that Majors gets no time and Marvel sees sense and rehires him on the basis that he won’t hold up production. He deserves a chance.

This might be a great opportunity to do something with Young Avengers based on Children’s Crusade. We need to use these actors while they can still pass for young and this could be a way to get some closure on Kang with a young variant of Kang while also introducing doctors doom. Make Doctor Doom tap into Wanda’s chaos magic resulting in him getting power analogous to the power of the beyonder and set up secret wars. You can avoid doing to Doom what Antman did to Kang by making it clear that the kids are in way over their heads and setting the bar at the young team escaping with their lives but not succeeding in defeating Doom. They can manage to alert the adult heroes (maybe even recruiting variants from different realities) and push them to form a new version of the avengers just before Doom sets all hell loose and creates Battle world.

Honestly I think Kang was done after Loki Season 2. Loki now controls the timeline and has reinvented the TVA to chase Kangs!! You don’t have to address it any further unless you want to do a TVA stand alone movie.

Perhaps “fired” isn’t really an accurate word to describe what happened to Brandon Schreur. It’s not like Majors was fired for being convicted of assault, so Marvel also grabbed Schreur up by the seat of his trousers and chucked him out the door, took the cheque back and tore it up, “get outta here, ya bum!”. I could be completely wrong, but it seems more likely he will still be on retainer. Whatever fee he received or was promised, some of which he will retain and will be reassigned to future possible projects. If Marvel thought he was good enough to help lead the next phase’s writing, then they will still think he’s good enough to continue having around. Plus, legally, Marvel can’t simply cancel his contract and promised fees when he’s done nothing wrong, because that would open them up to possible litigation for compensation, which could potentially be larger than whatever he was originally supposed to get.

My opinion, if they do a huge course correction with Kang after all the setup these past couple of years, it will only reinforce the popular opinion that Marvel movies are going down the drain. Given that Johnathon Majors is unquestionably on the outs with Marvel, I'm totally fine with them recasting the character as long as they don't nerf him like they hinted at in the Loki season 2 finale. I can't tell you how pissed I will be if they throw all that away, because like him or not JM was great as Kang, even if the script he was given wasn't always that great, case in point Ant-Man Quantumania. If they replace the character now for someone with no prior setup or try to do a backstory speedrun, it's just going to make people think even more that the creatives at Marvel are not planning things far enough ahead like they used to or are changing their minds too often. Unfortunately, even not knowing exactly how things are going to play out, I think it's too late; the decisions they've made up to this point have done irreversible damage to the brand and backed them into a corner there's no easy way out of.

They should do Galactus and let it be revealed that he is hunting down Celestials as a means to control their population numbers. Part of the reason he starts stalking is because of Ego having infected worlds but also as a means of balance. Then we come to find out that while Tiamat is dead, Galactus is still hunting it down thinking its in Earth and thus we end up in conflict.

I know people are somewhat upset about the Kang story being let go. However, personally I feel like they never built him up as a threat in the MCU. He was more of a threat in Loki. The way they finished Loki, I feel like they could continue with a show that explores the new TVA going after variants of Kang. Then the variants could easily be recast in lots of ways. Have variants of the hero’s too. We don’t have to have a top tier actor playing a variant of spider man or any of the main marvel characters. Especially if they are just in an episode or two. Have the plot be similar to a game of cat and mouse with the Kangs and the TVA. He was clearly easy to defeat. Silvia did it and Ant-Man did it. So I say continue using that amazing show to expand and conclude the Kang story line. Show the council of Kangs from the end of AntMan in the TVA show. Do a season of that and finish the story.

There is a reasonably obvious angle they can take on this. Make it so the Fantastic Four and Doom were involved in the original multiverse war, and He Who Remains sealed them in a pocket dimension or even the Negative Zone. They couldn't prune them from the timeline entirely because Reed and Doom are both his ancestors; but they were also his biggest threats. The events of Loki make and the council largely irrelevant, and they return during Secret Wars. Doom is actually a bigger threat than Kang, because his solution for Kang and the Multiverse was essentially Battle World.

Have the beyonder show up in Deadpool 3 after its revealed they are in Loki's (from the ending of season 2 lord of time loki) version of the void. The beyonder shows up in the after credits maybe? But have something with the beyonder tracking time back to Loki. Loki tells him of kang. He who remains. Have the beyonder show up to the colosseum of kangs and just make ALL of the Kangs something thats beyond nothing. All movies lead to secret wars. The beyonder is doing a tournament of power or cell games or whatever. Have doom come out of nowhere and win in a smart way. "Because nothing is beyond the will of DOOM!" He begins to create battle world. Tie ins show progression. Fantastic four movie could be them trying to prevent doom from making battle world. He wins again and makes battle world. Tie ins show battle world in existence. Avengers secrets wars is set up with doom being so victorious that he becomes blind to the possibility of losing and reed outsmarts him at the last second. Could even lead into a cosmic saga with doom defeat causing galactus to wake up and put the fear of god in the celestials? Maybe even change galactus up and have him be devourer of universes? Cause eternity from guardians 2 to step in, which could bring in the living tribunal?

Just remove Kang and put Doom, it's way better. Doom was already a known Marvel villain but I don't even know who Kang is. I also don't like the actor they chose as Kang, he doesn't fit to look like a villain, he more looks like a comedian. I'm curious if Secret Wars can really save MCU because I already gave up to MCU after End Game. Except for Deadpool and GoTG.
