I think at least a year alone is important for most guys. No one will want to be with you if you can’t bare it urself. I spend half my evenings without tv without phone. Just a book or writing materials and my cat. Really learn to read really learn how to think.

I'm doing this right now Im living alone putting my self in safety mode and building my career achieving my goals! I have to be a good example for my kid for my son who is a teenager right now and I have 36 months to go until child support is over for me. I live alone and see my gf on the weekends. She lives about 45 min's away and our schedules only permit the weekends for now. We're planning to coexist next year. But I find myself in deep thoughts and get lonely at times. This really is an eye opening experience. And I definitely watch my spending. I'm thinking months down the line at a time. And rent comes around so damn fast 😩 It's something every man needs to go through.

I'm 17. I do have a girlfriend currently, and I love her very much. I strongly value my time with her. But, we are also very independent people and we do spend time apart often for work etcetera. I'm planning a trip this summer, travelling across country on my motorbike for a week alone. I want the clarity, I want the perspective. These are things you can only gain through deep introspection and going out to take on the world alone. It's important. Further, after school she's going to college whilst I will be going straight into work and business. I'll be moving out of my parents' after a couple years, and I'll live alone for a further couple while I wait on her. I'm looking forward to that experience, and especially for us making a home together when she returns. But, I think I will value my time alone and my independence.
