Or try “seated hip internal rotation” with a band attached to something sturdy that won’t move. Helped me a lot on my left side, you will feel it in the TFL muscle. But what really helped overall was and still is kneesovertoesguy program and strength through lengthening. Especially because of tight and/or weak hip flexors. My left hip had weaker hip flexors and he’s program helped get me free from muscle imbalances

Thanks for all of these videos. Im a fifty y/o ultra runner, most often 100k and 100 mile distances, and obviously all the training that goes with that. Needless to say I end up with many repetitive use niggles, and things that I didn’t know that could happen, but I can always find a helpful video for stretching or strengthening to keep me on track.

I got shot in the butt on the left side. Took 15 years, but eventually had vicious piriformis syndrome. Very difficult to solve with excessive scar tissue, but I did it. 7 years of PT.

Correction: WAS. I fixed my back pain with 10-20 minute walks everyday, foam rolling, ice/heat packs, a standing desk at work, hanging from a pull up bar and lots of exercise.

This stretch or similar, hanging of the end of a bed with legs crossed over, hit exactly the part that needed stretched. Problem is it must also link exactly to my bulging disc and while the stretch felt great it always aggravated my sciatic nerve pain so i have to avoid it and use massage balls instead.

What about when trying to tuck your butt like that causes pain and your bodies naturally don't like that.. thus you can't relax into it or even get the glute to fire normally due to pain...?

Plus on top of this, I'm pushing the clutch in my car all the time! which requires a good amount of force & extension to push, and I'm in bad ergonomics with it too boot! (no pun intended 😅) And my gas pedal is very easy, I barely have to move my foot or leg to push it at all 😮 Boy oh boy that complicates things. I'm twisted, corkscrewed, in pain all the time!

I've had to change up "Everything ". Started driving with my left foot. Lean to the left. Oh yeah, and stop spreading your cheeks before you sit on the toilet.
