I've been in touch with a financial analyst ever since I started investing. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. I'm 47. I always had savings since a teenager. Debt free at 29 even with a house and two kids. In the past I tried to give close friends financial advice when they realize I was good with money, but the same issue I always saw in them was: no one likes change and sacrifice. I am pretty rich now after 20+ years.... investments are doing all the work for me now. And its sad to still see these same friends still have financial hardship even though they made more than me in salary.

Most people in the United States of America love spending more than they have. Credit card debt, college debt that doesn't relate to a career that you're planning, keep trading in vehicles before they match their trade in value, fail to realize intetest rates (even before modern intetest rates) on overspending on what your signing on. Americans quit putting yourself in debt from mismanaging your finances just like our government (under Democrats, Republicans, and other formas over government). Making us the number one country with the most debt in the world. Good luck, everyone.

Thanks to social media and credit cards . And people are just stupid thinking things will make them happy or giving them self worth. Just makes me think of a little baby crying , I want it and I want it now. Started a while back with parents giving their little darlings everything they want and not having to do a darn thing to earn it. The saying easy come easy go is true. When you work to earn things you want you take darn good care of them to make them last, unless you’re an idiot.

Hearing this in my 20's, very enlightening. The fact is that you need to have wealth first not to spend it, but to grow more wealth. The key to growing more wealth is to seeing what opportunities are out there, and what assets hold the most value for growing in the future and then invest. It's really not rocket science lol.

I discovered your content through Lewis's channel in Portuguese, and I've learned so much from your financial advice since then. I'm writing to suggest something that I believe could make a huge difference: translating your videos into Portuguese! Brazil has a large audience on KZbin, and many Brazilians are facing serious debt problems. To give you an idea, around 77.5% of Brazilian families are in debt, according to the latest data. Your knowledge could help many people here get out of this situation and achieve financial freedom. It would be amazing to see your content accessible to the audience here in Brazil. I'm sure you would gain even more followers in this region. Sending you a big hug and wishing you continued success!

Most people have the opportunity to be financially successful by the time they are in their 40’s even if they have a hint of intelligence. Just go old school. Don’t ever pay a credit card interest payment if you choose to use them. Pay your mortgage off asap it’ll be your biggest appreciating asset, dont but a car you can’t pay cash for, they only take you from point A to B, think of them that way. Invest as much as possible in a S&P 500 index fund and max out roth’s when you can. Just keep it simple. Life is easy most of the time we make it complicated. Seems people love drama and make it in their own lives, foolishly.

It would be nice if everyone could be a millionaire but the reality is it not realistic for many, not everyone wants to be millionaires. Because some dont mind working because some dont want the responsibility that comes with being a millionaire, so they save and live within their means. THAT'S just life, people who want to be millionaire has to be willing to do the work, research, be passionate about what you choose to do and go for it. Unfortunately some are poor due to where they live and their environments, some it culture parents didn't teach kids to be financially responsible, sometimes its because many parents dont know how themselves. I could go on and on and on.

One of the things I don't hear you comment on, but I promise that it has been the joy of my life, is marriage. I was fortunate enough to find the love of my life and marry her while I was still in college. It's worked out, because I have always been more of a risk taker, with her more cautioning me. That has worked out worked out. We're approaching our 43rd anniversary, and we don't worry about money. I know a lot of folks who are happily married for a long time, I know even more where it did not work out, but if you can find a partner that can put up with you and largely shares your outlook on life, hang on to him or her, because it makes life easier! (Assuming that you save/invest over your lifetime and live within you means.)

My problem is not how long it will take to become a millionaire, my problem is inflation. If you tell me that I could retire with $3 million in the bank when I'm 65, that's wonderful and that sounds like a great thing. Well I'm 35 right now, so in 30 years I could make $3 million dollars? Fantastic. And what is the buying power of $3 million, 30 years from now? So it feels like it's a constant investment into my future, to simply remain poor.

It's not everyone's mission to be rich. Some people find the god within without wealth. You can be a slave to money and have all the security in the world, and still die a early grave. I think the greatest asset is your physical health. I would rather have health which is a condition which includes mental health and money does nothing for the mind except pays bills or it accumulate. People are no smarter with money or without it. It's a game we think money makes us better and we fools to worship people with money. We all die equally, and nobody is going to care about what you did on KZbin.
