Where as a normal Mandalorian have no problem taking off their helmets in front of other organics. But Luke's Jedi Order is not as he believe the Dark Side is just a tool same as the Light Side. Where as Mandalorian is a race + belief. And Tiberius Saxon wore stormtrooper armor, not beskar. The imperial supercommando was targeted by the weapon, since it had beskar. Gar Saxon had the same armor as other supercommandos, so he had beskar armour, maybe not pure beskar, but it was beskar. I think it was probably that mando made guns are stronger than the average blaster.

No, most mando wears Beskar, Boba or Jango's were speculated to be durasteel but turned out to be wrong and got recanonized. Tiber used stormtrooper amor not mandalorian. Captain Hark was affected by the duchess using the same kind of gar saxon armor when the duchess still aims for beskar. We actually never see a mandalorian gets killed by blasters except their own weapon(westar) or Clone's blasters which i think have been set to the right calibration because they knew they were going to fight mandalorian, as stated in JFO, a blaster with the right calibration can penetrate it, they also never get their armor penetrated by lightsaber, in siege of mandalore, ahsoka only aims for their blaster or jetpack. Also, turbolaser and blaster from walkers can penetrate it too

After making my own armor and studying it intesely for 2 years those straps tightened on the proper under armor or flight suit can make pull it through for a tight fit. E C Henry has a video showing proof that stormtroopers have a pretty damn good aim normally, the only time it is bad is when there are force users around, Also in the Mandalorian they sort of hint at this, stormtroopers without baby Yoda in the vicinity=headshots for days, Stormtroopers carrying baby Yoda can't even hit a stationary can on the road, or a point blank murder droid. Force users put a heavy accuracy debuff on stormtroopers.

@@damiansaturday6788 In addition, in normal circumstances when near a Sith Lord or other dark force sensitive, the Storm Troopers and Imperial Officers are much more potent. The main case being that Obi Wan sacrificed himself to the Force as a Ghost and became even more powerful than Darth Vader in a supportive way, leading all blaster shots away from Luke and Han when they were fighting. Luke's anger was tying his shots to the enemy storm troopers before being reminded by Obi Wan to run.

You assess that whenever a stormtrooper is around a Jedi or force-sensitive user in general, they actively miss because the force decides to intervene because why? Is it because they are the bad guys? Why does it not affect droids' accuracy in the Prequels? Why, during order 66, did this not work when the clone troopers hunted down the Jedi? If your answerer is because they aren't stormtroopers, why does it only affect them? Does this accuracy fuckery extend to random bounty hunters as well? Cause I would argue they have just as bad aim in the show In Episode 4, the reason the stormtroopers miss while our heroes are at the death star is so the empire can later follow them to the rebel base to blow it up. In episode 5, we later see them wrecking the rebels when they storm their base on Hoth, despite Luke, who is force sensitive and, while limited, he can use it. Episode 6 has them getting destroyed by Ewoks, a very primitive race that resort to guerrilla warfare, despite their skills of handling typically stronger enemies. Yet, in this scene, Luke wasn't with them at all. But you could argue that the stormtroopers didn't expect the Ewoks, I guess. In the Mandalorian, the stormtroopers seem to have not had terrible aim but a very coincidental aim. The heroes are lucky that the stormtroopers only shoot at the armor plates themselves, not even by chance hitting in the groves between each armor piece. There are times when a stormtrooper was standing behind Mando and Co. or out of sight, only not to shoot them and stand there waiting to be shot. Cause the stormtroopers in this show are just on-screen to die and nothing more. Does the force also mess with them, so they don't shoot when they are supposed to as well? But the more significant issue with your assessment is, doesn't this ruin entirely the imposing threat they're meant to be? They are no longer a massive military force used by the empire, or remnants of the empire, to take over planets and strongholds. With this excuse in mind, I would no longer feel any threat from them cause I know the force will make sure everyone turns out great. Most film critics refer to as Plot Armour, and you're just trying to make an excuse as to why this is ok to be in the story. Now that Mando has given up Baby Yoda to Luke, would he now actually start having trouble fighting stormtroopers?

@@Ethiesia its been a while since i last got into some star wars stuff, so i don’t really remember my thought process from 6 months ago, but my headcannon answers to these is that A. it is a subconscious/conscious action that is put into effect by the force users not the force itself. That is why the dark lords aren't simply sniped or killed by blaster shots from rebels, it applies to any force user dark or light, think vader in the corridor in rouge one. the clone trooper succeeded in killing the jedi as the jedi did not expect the friends and allies the fought along side in a many years long war to turn on them and shoot them in the back. the force has been shown to respond subconsciously with the emotional state of the users i.e things getting crushed when they are pissed of and plant life growing when they are happy, so why not having shots miss because the force users were thinking i don't want to die/get shot at. either by mind tricking the shooter in missing or moving the blaster/ shots themselves. And the way jedi find new force users is ,get this, looking in looking for reports of kids who are ridiculously lucky. so the force users canonically experience using the force to alter probability in their favour. luke barely interacted with anyone in the battle of hoth. he took down one AT-AT with a buddy, and soloed another then got in a jet and flew off and this guy's greatest feat so far in the force was lifting a lightsaber out of the snow, nowhere near grogu's mudhorn lifting feat. just enough to protect himself and maybe a couple of people around him if leia is nearby, cause apparently the canonical reason the twins were separated was that they would be more noticeably powerful in the force when together. as for the mandalorian while i love the show, i also agree completely with your assessment for it, and just prefer not to think about it while enjoying the show as for Mando without baby yoda, i guess? his beskar is the second best thing to plot/force armor so he wouldn't be too screwed i think.

Phase 1 and Phase 2 Clone armor was designed to block blaster bolt impacts as best as they can to ensure Clone Troopers can last longer (which we have seen it does, but more often than not not as effectively as hoped) Stormtrooper armor, on the other hand, with the war over and now wanting a faster way to produce armor to suit up millions of soldier for patrols around the galaxy, it was designed to ensure higher survivability for the wearer, making the armor disperse the bolt rather than block it, in turn minimizing the impact (for the majority of the time) and just leaving them knocked out by the force rather than dead

As I understood it, the Imperial variant of Mandalorian armor we se Gar Saxon and his commandos wearing isn't really beskar at all, or at least a very, very small concentration of it...which makes sense, seeing as they've all but completely forsaken their Mandalorian heritage. On the other hand, the more traditional Mandalorian armor we see in the animated shows-Clan Wren, the Death Watch, and especially individuals like Sabine and Bo-Katan-rarely seem to be one-shotted in the same way, or at the very least their armor seems to take it better and retain no lasting damage. Hell, Sabine gets shot all the time and her armor is usually fine.

A few other notes: The Imperial Mandalorians we see in Rebels are wearing some kind of Empire produced armor. It is likely this armor was cheaply built and might not of had any Beskar in it what so ever. The Empire was very much "quantity before quality" during the time of Rebels, throwing out cheap fighter craft and poorly trained/equipped Stromtroopers to crush rebels, so giving the Imperial Mandolorians just a slight variation on normal stormtrooper armor without any upgrades outside of the jetpacks make sense. Also, in Star Wars Clone Wars, Rebels, with few exceptions it is hard to tell where a Mandalorian was shot when they are taken out by a blaster. It is possible that the blast managed to hit the many areas in Mandalorian armor that isn't covered in Besckar. We see the Mandolorians engaging in hand to hand combat very often with other Mandalorians even when both sides have blasters. This could indicate that either pure Beskar or blaster resistant composite-Beskar is common enough that punching other Mandalorians is often better tactic than trying to shoot them.

That makes a lot of sense. I always wondered why they would only use their blasters as suppression while moving to engage in hand to hand fighting. But if they knew that the blasters were worthless, their only bet would be hand to hand. So they use the blasters against anyone not in armor, and then use them to hopefully scare the armored opponents while charging them.

If you're confident in your hand to hand, closing to melee is a way to prevent an opponent and typically their allies from firing on you.

beskar in the books was invincible to almost anything. makes me wonder how they even forge it. a light saber cut through 2 sets of solid blast door metal in star wars episode 1. but has to be held to beskar for an hour to start getting through it. plus i wish the clone troopers armors were more like the books. especially the commando troops where their suits could see 360 degrees around them ( explains why its hard to sneak up on a mandalarian wearing fully updated beskar armor because the electronics in them showed them their surroundings 24/7) plus being able to filter our toxins in the air. air reserves to survive in space for an hour or 2. almost unlimited data banks to store an endless amounts of data. and their infrared scanner lens. im going full nerd but yeah. mando armor in the books was really overpowered. biggest weak spots were the seals and joints where the armor allowed the bending of limbs. basic troopers had plastisteel armor but higher ups like officers had custom armors

I'm fairly certain beskar is merely resistant to lightsabers. Thing is it HAS been written in the EU(Disney is taking stuff from there without crediting the authors) that beskar CAN stop one or two swings from a lightsaber, but if it is prolonged contact then it will melt right trough. You're right. In order for "The Dutchess" to be most effective against rebellious Mandalorian clans/cells, the Imperial Mandalorians wore non-beskar armor (whether if it's plastoid/plasteel). However, what Joey's talking about was when Sabine modified the weapon's settings to target plastoid/plasteel, which is why it targeted Saxon. Side note: I personally think that the Imperial Mandalorians quite literally "sold out" by trading in their ancestral beskar armor to show their allegiance and to essentially "pay" the Empire. Also, I think the Empire mandated it to prevent/discourage a Mandalorian uprising. Mandalorians are dangerous, but even more so with their armor.

I always had an alternative explenation. Mandalorian blasters normaly can be seen firing yellowish blaster bolts of light I always thought it was because they were more potent. If mandalorians have blaster proof armor then they would never be able to win the clan wars that they had, so in a cold war like way they developed weapons that can penetrate their own armor so Mando vs stormtroopers he is fine because they use the red blasters while mandalorian vs another mandalorian they both Use beskar penetrating weapons meaning one will die

I always assumed it was because Mandolorian blasters were capable of penetrating their own armors. Which is why the laser color was a unique color

The color of the bolts is made from how powerful the gas used in the blaster is I believe so that's why a mandalorian blaster has its unique color Edit: when looking into the color a mandalorian blaster is just an "upgraded" blaster but with better gas used so it is not powerful in to penetrate beskar armor. So the reason why the "stormtrooper mandalorians" died in one shot is because their armur is the same stormtrooper armor

@@Magicalcards2000 Problem is, Captain Hark, a Supercommando, gets attacked by the duchess while it's still set to target Beskar. Which means that Imperial Supercommandos wear Beskar Armor, but due to the forging process and the fact it's not pure beskar means that it's far weaker than Din's armor.

The dude in the red mando armor isn't even wearing an armor with beskar. That's fairly well demonstrated in the episode where he uses Sabines weapon to basically torture her and Bo-katan by tuning it to the frequenzy of beskar then later in the episode Sabine tunes it to target duraplast (storm trooper armor) instead and then that dude gets hit by it, so it's clearly 100% not beskar at all

I mean not every mando wears a full set of beskar, from the beginning even Din Djarin didn't have a full set of Beskar. Thats what makes him so extraordinary. Because the Beskar is so rare after the empire destroyed their home, most mandos really only have beskar helmets if they are fortunate enough. Of all the holes in the star wars lore this one is actually pretty easy to explain.

Problem is allot of the time it is said all Mandalorian are using Beskar. Which is true.... what is also true is that armor has been diluted so much that it provides none of the protections beskar provides. It's kind of like sapphire glass for modern phones. Every company claims to use it, but only a few of them are using enough to actually make the glass resistant.

In Greece, the Dark Age warrior were covered in full bronze armor than its nearly Plate armor in what they covered. At the times of the Roman Republic battles vs the Greek states, the majority of the warriors used linothorax, a linen made armor. The Roman legions of the First Century (the ones wearing the Lorica segmentata) were heavier armed and armored than the last legions too (than were lucky to get an hamata, thanks to the heavier warriors deserting to the ERE). In Japan, the swords made before Sengoku, the civil war they had, were better than the most modern ones,simply because they were made faster and of cheaper material. We used to use metal for what we now use plastic etc. The real world is full of those things.

It also has to do with the strength of Mandalorian weapons. Those wielded by Mandalorian in the clone wars would be very effective at puncturing lesser armours like a hot knife through butter.

1:06 I always thought it was strange that their jetpacks didn't deploy wings when they were in level flight. I'm not sure that the shape of the human body can create enough lift to keep them aloft. For hovering its ok not to have wings as they would get in the way of free movement. The pack could be programmed to vector the jets through the center of mass like the Space Shuttle did in our world. Even after the solids burned out the shuttle was able to compensate for this change in thrust and continue upward.
