If you're a muslim that wants to adhere to an authentic traditional muslim life then it makes complete sense to move to a muslim country. Now that muslim countries like the UAE offer high living standards then why would you not move there as a muslim that wants to follow a muslim lifestyle? Seems completely logical to me, as a non muslim British person.

Coming from the UK, I agree but I still consider UK(Scotland) my home we've "settled" in for many generations and although I prefer the lifestyle here in Dubai and I see myself living here for the foreseeable future I'm still Scottish at the end of the day, the accent says it all 😂 And cos of that it's hard to just uplift everything and move it all.

@@SohaibAshraf Yes I get that. It is interesting though what will happen in future if other countries offer as high or higher living standards than the UK, and you come from a family in which your grandparents or parents migrated to the UK. After all, generally they migrated for higher living standards and put up with things like racist abuse for the sake of that. So if as a Muslim or Hindu or whatever your background might be, if a country that has your religion/ culture more prominently in it, offers higher living standards then maybe you will see more people emigrating. I think you have seen a similar thing with Polish people returning to Poland as Poland has got richer. "Native" born Brits have done this too. I have family in Australia that left in the early 80s due to high unemployment.

Salam , I just a have a comment about the idea it is laughable that someone would protest in UAE. I agree with that but usually that’s because if you are not getting your rights especially if one is from a certain nationality and you are getting oppressed ,forget about getting your rights in the first place , if you protest one will just get imprisoned and if lucky deported to their country. Obviously every place has its pros and cons, but I just feel a lot of people tend to highlight the pros of moving to UAE and just forget about the cons. I’m not trying to trash anybody’s decision of moving to Dubai, everybody has their own experience and if one feels that they can become a better Muslim in a certain place then good for you. Obviously UAE is the most attractive out of all Muslim countries, but just because a place is "nicer" doesn't equate it to be the best Muslim country.
