One piece of advice from an old bloke, don't waste your money on cars and watches. Firstly, you don't have to prove anything to anyone and secondly when you get older you will realise how silly being flashy is. Stay under the radar and have no debt, that's a real winner. Ps, love your work and I hope young men are listening to you.

Plenty of people have nice cars and watches whilst also having no debt. I think it's all about living within your means. You can have nice things and still stay under the radar for the most part. It's how you act with said things that show who you really are and not being fleshly with them.

If you have debt, you are the product until the debt is paid off. We all need to be in debt at some stage unfortunately. I am still in debt, but at an extremely manageable level. Nail your debts. Don’t be the product, and if you haven’t guest it already I am older at 52 as well. I have some shares, (which I probably shouldn’t with a debt), but I imagine just being able to buy shares, ETF’s, bonds, commodities etc with the house paid off. Diversifying where your money goes and driving a RAV4 lol. No one will ever say to me…. Woaah did you see that RAV4 that went past, they must be getting 4.8 litres/100klms with that baby. But the faster your debts are gone the faster you answer to no-one. Oh, and go to the gym, skip, lift heavy things regularly and compare yourself to no-one. (Sorry for unsolicited advice)

I agree. I see people pay off houses over 30yrs. That's a mugs game. Smash it out in 10yrs. Good feeling to have roof over your head paid. Gives you space to breathe.

Mad advice & solid reminder. Comparison is the thief of joy. I just level up within my means/domain. E.g. I worked on the Warehousing floor for 5+ years breaking my back picking, voice picking, loading unloading containers, hard manual labouring & then I decided to level up & get my Forklift ticket 2 years ago & now I’ve increased my value, pay & opportunities to grow & now I have a lot of job opportunities. Hard work & wanting to improve & get better is the game.

As someone who also doesn’t have a safety net, you should be so proud of what you have done for yourself and your family! If I can provide an alternative perspective on asking for help - there’s nothing wrong with asking for help when you really need it. You might be surprised how understanding, loving, and non-judgmental your friends and family are - most of them want to see you succeed. Just sharing a quick thought though. Love your story and your message.

I had taken IT training and when I was done I couldn't find a job right away with IT. I took a job at a factory making plastic items, long weird hrs. that paid crap. When I was home visiting with my Dad his sister came over and I was in the kitchen and heard her ask my Dad, how come I was working a crap job when I trained for IT. My Dad said "he probably wants to eat". I eventually found an IT job and have been doing this for awhile because I didn't give up. And that's what I have preached to the young ones from the start. There is work out there you just have to decide to do it. And just because it's a job which isn't what you want if you keep looking you will get a better job. Apply yourself! Thank You Sir, good advice. Keep it coming.

(Klassiks) I came up with this quote myself, meaning that whatever you do, do it for yourself and your loved ones. Don't be looking at others to much and stay humble. Not saying that you can't buy nice things or live lavish, just don't hold value to materialistic items nor the life style. I've been following you recently and must say i enjoy your comedic skits 😅😅. Keep doing you brother. Positivity is key. 1 Love. Greetings from the lowlands (Netherlands)

My 2 cents- you’re already richer than all those blokes. I think your mentality for hard work and supporting a family as a real man is pure wisdom. When you say you look up to blokes living the materialistic life….you lose what’s makes you a truely great man and worse, you lose the power in your message to young men. Don’t inspire young men to chase fame, wealth and materialistic “things”. There’s a million blokes already doing that. If you’re truely a man a God, you already know that path is a path away from God. Peace brother.

Hey bro, what kind of work would you do if you are in the disability pension? So I broke my back in 2008 working on Navy ships. I wish I could go back to that work. I had my confined space license, was a standover, cleaned out tanks amongst other stuff. However after my discs deteroated and being an awkward lanky 6'4" I went to the doctor as my cousin wanted me to work with him setting up stages however I wasn't medically cleared. This sucks. God bless bro I understand your mentality, I was like this in my early 20s to mid 20s

Get your mind off physical labour and start thinking about an office role. every ones knows men dont cry thats the saying right?, but every man knows why when and what for a tear is shed, and every man has those shedding moments, you did 4 things right in this video, you first told your story, you second shed a genuine tear all men can respect, third your pride made you work it in any means for your family and deny a hand out i am in this kind of situation now, ( also shows how much you love your family ) and 4th you did what your family needed and you provided for them and i have all the love and respect in the world for that, side note dang 4 and a half grand a week i know fifo boys earn alot but wow, still would be a sacrifice being away from your family for long periods. the thought of providing for your loved ones would get you through.. haha long story short i love what you are doing, sorry i got adhd and sometimes i get carried away
