There are narcs who don't love bomb. It's the ones you know for a long time, childhood friend, college friend.... they usually appear in your life as a shoulder to cry on after you break up with narcissist number one. This happened to me, at the time I had no idea what a narcissist was. They do love bomb later on, but not at the begging because they already have your trust.

i once was the one who called my ex gf soulmate, i actually was the one who was being a covert narcissist in that regard, but as soon as i realized it I stopped, at the time it felt real i never met a girl who was into everything that i was, she came off as the right one,which doesn't exist i admit my mistakes and never repeated them again once i educated myself on what those behaviors were and that it was toxic. it was completely wrong and 100% my fault. for those dealing with narcissistic abuse i ask that you look at yourselves first, find out what your toxic traits are and remove them before getting into a relationship, keep yourself in check. you will find out the trauma bonding mostly happens when youre codependent and a bit toxic yourself we tend to ignore the red flags due to insecurity and loneliness.

Great Video ... and whatever mistake you might have made, you could not have known what lay beneath the mask of pure evil, so self forgiveness I have found is "a very long process" and journey ..... out of "the Con" that you were tricked into in the first place. It's a very very heavy and horrific price esp if we have had kids with them but like any disaster all we can do is salvage the wreckage and slowly plan what can be fixed and what cannot. I notice that narcs always say they met their soul mate. I dated this guy whoI later discovered in the relationship was a covert and later overt and malignant. What I thought was odd about him, was that not even a month of dating, he said he and I were soul mates. He also mentioned to me he did a background check on me. That made me feel eerie. To make a long story short, I broke off the relationship because he was very controlling and too needy, wanting to constantly hold my hand in public. He would complain when I pulled my hand away.

When a stranger texted out of the blue to want and get to "know" me. I got strung along, but my Gut was telling me something different. I tried to reason that I DIDN'T want a relationship. He said all he wanted was a "friendship." But then again, my Gut was still telling me what he really wants is more than that (as if I felt he wanted to speed things up). I tried to fight my way around it. He complied for one part. But there he went with telling that he came into my Life for a "reason" and told me to just let it flow (as if he was telling me I was his "Soulmate"). But unfortunately, my Gut kept telling me to run. He claimed to be a "God Fearing King" and wanted to treat me like a Queen, thus my Gut and Heart began to sank even more. I never forgot when he randomly texted me on a busy Mother's Day Evening with my Family. Telling him I was busy, he told me to take a rest and forget it all. But I couldn't, and all he did was "laugh" at my "No Rest of the Wicked" phrase as I am a Busy Woman. He even texted me as I woke up early in the morning to get ready for Work, which really gave me an anxiety attack. Then I get questions day in and day out about what I ate for dinner, what time is it where I live, and also asking where I live. I had no desire to disclose it as I was already getting tense at what he REALLY wants from me. His reaction: he calls me "Dear" and says that I'm really "fun" talking with. That made me very uncomfortable and I eventually lashed out saying that it WASN'T funny at all! Couple of replies later, he claimed he didn't know I wasn't being funny and just said "Ok." No apologies from him whatsoever. In my mind, I was just like "Ok???" Really...?!?! In the end, I blocked him and never talked to him again. But still, all the things he did to try and manipulate me come back into my mind, making me feel guilty. The anxiety of feeling like I should be "destined" with this Narcissist has nearly brought me to suicidal thoughts a couple of times. And the cycle still continues, as I am trying to find a way to become even better at loving myself.

It's still hard to believe that people like this exist, I am still hurting over it, how can someone be so cruel and evil, she made me feel like she was my soulmate, she made me fall so deeply in love with the false image she presented, with all the wild passionate sex, then the shock when you suddenly learn the only passion was from yourself and her mirroring it, after sharing my painful past of being cheated on she swore she could never do that to anyone because she had also been cheated on and she just wanted someone to finally love her, then to have all that amazing soul connecting sex stopped completely and to be called a sex addict when you ask what happened, to be invalidated, then to slowly over time be deceived and finding her talking to other men and talking about other men to hurt me purposely, to let me know she was cheating without admitting to it, to lie and gaslight me when I brought it up, then the punch to the gut to catch her red handed and have all of the pieces fall into place and realize that 6 years of your life thinking you were a team only to find out the full depth of the horror of it all, 6 years of her cheating and seeing other men behind my back, not a moment that she was trying to work things out or it was something wrong with me and I needed to change, it's almost been a year but I am still in so much pain.

He mirrored me, messed with my head, he studies the subconscious and wanted to act so sweet and thoughtful then turned out physically abusive and put me down constantly. Pure hell on earth. I was SO in love with a woman of my dreams that I yearned to share my entire being with and to father our children. Literally just ended a recent new long distance relationship with my “soulmate“ today. Been talking for about three months now and we were already making plans for him to move here. He began having an abrupt change in his demeanor towards me starting about a week ago. Saying things he wouldn’t normally say. The other day out of the blue, he starts telling me about this other woman in the past that the Holy Spirit told him was his soulmate and that she would call at 9:00 PM. and that’s how he would know. If this is even true, supposedly some female (one of his subscribers) called him at 9 PM and he told her she was his soulmate. He told me he drove over to her house and she wanted him to stay the night but when he saw that she had fake boobs he got back in his truck and left LMAO. What a tool! anyway aside from that he began to say and do other things that were completely bizarre like he told me he had no idea what I looked like even though he had several pictures of me lol. Just total sudden insanity. these people are absolutely everywhere and they are so good at what they do. I am highly experienced in the world of narcissism as it has been all I have ever known so I picked up on the red flags real quick with this one. Even though I’m disappointed I find this one to be truly the most laughable and least painful. When you’ve been to hell and back three times already with a previous narcissist your skin gets very thick and tough. You literally level up and earn your armor. I promise you people whatever you are dealing with? It is not the last nor likely will it ever be, but I can tell you this, what doesn’t kill you truly makes you stronger. And that is why I am so thankful for all of these various KZbin channels that are experts on narcissism. They went through the fire many times and earned their armor to fight for us. I am eternally grateful for all of you.

I think my ex liked the idea of a soulmate as a contract that I would be always attached to him. He wanted me to be his soulmate that mirrored him. I remember early in the relationship, I dared disagree with one of his opinions in front of his friends, and he told me later how embarrassing that was for him - that I should always prop him up, never disagree with him in front of other people. How unfortunate that I didn't speak up about that as I did think to myself that it was strange that I couldn't have my own opinions.

As good as me and my older sister get along I consider her my soulmate, we've been close and after a 9 year gap of barely seeing each other because of my isolating ex-narc it's as though time hasn't passed.

At the moment theirs this guy 10 or 11 yrs my senior who is all of a sudden interested in me. He's starting to come around more and more telling me "he loves me", "wants to marry me", "he'll buy me what ever I want", "he'll spend his whole paycheck on me" and etc. He beats on women, does drugs, don't have a car, is a womanizer/flirt, and he is inconsistent ❕I know for sure he's a narcissist/con artist but disguise himself by coming off charming, nice, and smooth talking. But, I'm not stupid...I keep telling him "NO" to his advances, but he won't let up or leave me alone. What can/should I do🤷

Minimise contact as much as possible .... His comming around is to probe your boundaries .... Watch what weaknesses and strengths you give out.... Change your appearance .... take make up off ... old clothes .... look as scruffy as you can. Have a recording device if you need be to tape / record events ... Do not leave them into your home. Increase security around your home... Have friends around more ... like a sister / friend etc ... Do not engage or make an excuse straight away to cut them off... Try not to cause offense... keep it polite. Mix up your schedule and comming and goings ... where you park your car. Have a male friend around and tell someone to give you back up ... even if they pretend to be your boyfriend ... Write down everything just in case .... times dates etc etc. Protect your boundaries !!!! And set them also.

Apparently a 'twin soul' refers to a single soul that was split in two at the beginning of eternity. It's all about finding and creating completeness with that soul you were seperated from. To me this is just another twist on 'soulmate'. The same type of idealistic philosophy that the covert narc loves.

Evan,I think maybe the same as anyone who was there1, 2,3,4 partners (speaking from years experience) I believe I hit upon the 4th narcissitic marriage ...love"soul mate"...Extremely painful way of life. You must find your way back to God..His purpose ,destiny for you being here....His love,value for you...It seems to me that the good you can find from living with a narcissist is that you hit bottom....the craziness of everything,wow... You must now reach high for truth,purpose,destiny...which we all humans have...and no man can give us....God will guide you as you ask...I dont know where you are as you read this...but I do understand the confusion,pain,and seeking that we must go through...and trust ,reliance upon a God who sees us,hears us ,understands and wants to help us all get through to the other side..the side of victory..
