My favourite moment is still Hinata vs Pain specifically for that one moment when she catches Pain off guard as she swings to break the rods that trap Naruto rather than the villain in front of her. Our expectations have already been primed that she’s no match here and Hinata tells them and us the audience that she’s there because she wants to be. This might be true but it’s also an excellent misdirect for our expectations: we were ready to see her go down swinging but her priority was saving Naruto , not fighting Pain, she was only willing to go up against him to get to Naruto. A perfect demonstration of combat motivated by love and nothing else

10/10 essay, best I've seen in a while so congrats! Just a comment, I don't think Naruto embodies the idea that "love and mercy can redeem any soul no matter how far gone", but it's more a potential: "with love and mercy anyone could be redeemed (as long as there's some humanity in them)", that's why he didn't even attempt to reason with Madara, Kaguya, Kakuzu, Orochimaru and you could maybe throw in Deidara; some truly are too far gone, and usually they are ideologues

I feel like the first Naruto vs Sasuke fight really helped every other triumph that came after it feel even more satisfying, since it was the protagonist's most important fight and everyone expected Naruto to win. But he failed, and everything gets worse because of it. And thanks to that failure Naruto picks himself up and really examines himself, so that when it's time to finally bring Sasuke home, his victory is a formality at that point

I just finished rewatching Naruto with my GF yesterday, which was the first time she watched it. And it was amazing. Highly emotional. (Spoilers ahead) The only things we didn't really enjoyed was the second arc of Shippuden which was very slow (Searching for Sasuke and Sai's development) and Sakura (I swear I tried giving her another chance). Everything else, which mind you is a lot, was very enjoyable. We did notice the plot holes but didn't mind them that much. We did agree that Kaguya's battle was a little weak, but at least it was short. The finale was much better than I remembered it and I held it pretty high imo. She cried for almost every single character arc during the war section of the story. And while we didn't enjoy Sasuke that much (which was my favorite as a teenager) his redemption at the end felt emotional and once more became one of my favorites. Just wanted to express some of my thoughts on one of my favorite anime of all time. Naruto is and will continue to be timeless. It is amazing.

I changed much as a person watching Naruto and it impacted my growth a kid in a lot of positive ways and I like to cite it as a reason for why I have huge empathy and compassion for people and care so much for my friends and loved ones. Anyone with parent issues or an absent parent altogether can relate to Naruto. That comes with a lot of self worth issues so for him to take all that weight to his shoulders with pride regardless of what people said about him or told him is something that makes you feel like your existence is valid and you can be proud of who you are. ended in 2014, yet still lives rent free in people's minds. There are many finished manga that achieved this kind of feat, but most of them are all ended up on subpop genre (you gotta be a true fan to know and understand it, or else you're just following trend, bandwagon, or fomo). Naruto however, fell into one of the all time pop genre. It's like Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Messi v Ronaldo, or Gangnam Style stuffs. At least that is what i see in my perspective, in my environment. I felt like this because my fav series don't end up on the same fate as Naruto, the popularity gap is just too obvious, the long lasting impact difference is also obvious. Gundam, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh! ended up in subpop genre. Berserk, 20th Century Boy, Monster and Evangelion got popularized lately because of the rise of Sigma masculinity meme, depression issue, sudden increase of philosophy enjoyers, and COVID that forced people stayed at home and watch whatever they can watch including anime. They're all subpop, they happen and rise because other events happened. Naruto is simply just built different. It doesn't need all that for Naruto to be this popular.

I was just hearing this when all of the sudden out of nowhere 5 minutes in bro start to talk about Naruto lol I grew up with Dragon Ball and Naruto was something after my generation but I learned to appreciate the show, definitely one of the best shonen ever

Naruto is one of a kind! Each character has its one fanbase and deep underlying story attached to that character.

Naruto is literally one of the best anime’s of all time. It’s one of the originals that inspired a majority of what is out right now!

That's your opinion. MAL manga rank and Anime rank shows it is not.

@@beasthundred4709 MAL is notorious for its user's review bombing series to create artificial rankings. It's the IGN of animanga 😂

Marvel used to be the top of the movie industry as a previous marvel fan I loved the infinity saga but now marvel is complete shit I can’t stand the new movies although I’ve heard that Deadpool and Wolverine is good. Naruto on the other hand is such a good show it’s really giving infinity saga times 100 it’s nostalgic and comforting to watch.

My point was the first arc in Shippuden. When Gaara went from "I hate everyone, i dont need anyone" to "Friends, that's a good thing. Thank you Naruto" 😢
