If you liked the show, the graphic novels are better (of course), but there's also an audio play on Audible that's closer to the graphic novels (Dream as James McAvoy, Kat Dennings as Death etc) that's just as good as the show. So if you can't wait for season 2 they actually already did it there.

Probably wakes up and records himself notes of these inspirations, dreams, visions. Excellent! Thank you.

Martin is someone who sets up a great joke... and then botches the punchline. Gaiman is a literary genius who has reinvented multiple genres with intelligence and determination. Big difference. Martin can't finish one story. Gaiman has created multiple universes that have lived, breathed and died at his call.
@VelcroReacts2 жыл бұрын
ehh i wouldnt say so.... while i agree that Martin should of finished ASOIAF already... theres also the fact that ASOIAF and the rest of the lore and worldbuilding around it, its much bigger in scale compared to anything that Gaiman has written.... they are completely different writers in that sense
@chriscueva18662 жыл бұрын
To be fair ASOIAF is much more complex, detailed, and thought out than anything Gaiman has written. The closest would be Sandman but even that pales in comparison to the scope of ASOIAF. Also, after Sandman Gaiman would never write anything half as good. That’s not a knock against Gaiman but instead speaks to the brilliance of Sandman.
@darkhoursofday62502 жыл бұрын
@@VelcroReacts American Gods would beg to differ. It's just a taste thing. I loved SOIAF when it started but the books sorta dragged and for me it's clear that even Martin got bored by them towards the (non) end.
@darkhoursofday62502 жыл бұрын
@@chriscueva1866 Sincerely disagree about the lack of further good work. One thing I love about Gaiman is the different epic nature of his work. From Coraline to American Gods, there is depth. Martin... sorry to say it since I started out loving his work... comes off for me as trying his best to imitate Tolkien with a few really good ideas that lacked the power to hold even his interest to complete the series. Just my opinion, but I feel that Gaiman's work will be remembers much more fondly in 100 years. I may be wrong.
@VelcroReacts2 жыл бұрын
@@darkhoursofday6250 Again i have to respectfully disagree, American Gods is a book that i love and also extremely sad that the series got cancelled, But American Gods is an isolated world of 500 pages maybe? That's not even 1 book of ASOIAF, Plus not saying that martin doesnt pull from other sources because i think every writer kind of does... but gaiman pulls a lot from mythology which is not a bad thing at all dont get me wrong but it´s not like he´s creating everything
