Your fans watch your videos because of YOU! (And Aaron, Benjamin and now Samantha Grace). We don’t require a perfect set with a proper backdrop and you using all the proper tools. If people are looking for perfection in production, they can watch HGTV or PBS, etc. Those of us who want REAL LIFE, and a real connection with someone we can relate to, will watch GA (or any other channel you develop). ❤️

Hey Laura we don’t need you to be professional in the kitchen, there’s plenty of that on the Food Network channel. Your down to earth style is what we love. I use a butter knife too as a tool, it’s more convenient. Hopefully everyone gets well soon.

Oh Laura. You're so sweet. But, " life IS the messy bits" don't stress on toys in back ground, or your kitchen looks lived in. It is and you have a wonderful channel and a simply delightful family. You, Aaron, and family have lifted up so many of us who really are alone with clean kitchens and no one to help mess it up. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Just to add to the comment about saving money on produce, even if a person doesn't save on cost of produce, NOTHING beats the TASTE of fresh produce picked from the garden! Also, it's so nice when making dinner to just go out to the garden and pick what you need. Besides the fact that gardening is good for the soul!

A cooking video every once in a while would be great. I enjoyed watching you cook in your kitchen with Benjamin, and it was just a real Mom and Benjamin experience. I appreciate how you value putting out excellent content and doing good technical videography, but most of us who enjoy your channel know you are not a cooking show. It could just be a change of pace occasionally if the timing seems right. I enjoy your videos with your mom for the same reason. I surely enjoy your videos of all types, seeing the kitties, the various things happening in your life like planting at the community college, and glimpse of those precious children. I would MUCH prefer seeing a cooking video where there are toys in the background! Farmhouse on Boone is a place I like to visit and watch her KZbin videos. Dawn, I so agree with you!! Her cooking video is as real as it gets for most of us in our own homes. It doesn’t need to be professional. Morning Laura and Aaron. Praying for your family to feel better soon. Aaron sounds like he would like to go back inside and lay down. Poor fella. I loved Benjamin's reaction to the lime..LOL. I think the crates you were talking about are vintage style wooden bushel baskets, used in orchards and for harvesting potatoes and onions from the farms for market. My uncle had a potato farm in VA, and there are pictures of him and the workers loading up the potatoes in these baskets and placing them in mule drawn carts to take to the railroad pickup area ON HIS PROPERTY. It was a big farm!...and yes, a butter knife is my first go-to tool when I have a need around the house. Have a blessed day with your family. ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

Please keep doing them in your kitchen, where it shows real life. Benjamin's "you cracked my heart" is so precious. Sometimes you have to be a little harsh to get their attention. Sounds like you handled it well. Thank you so much for sharing!

Gardeniing, like knitting for me, is therapeutic. So growing your own veggies and purchasing yarn ( for me) is inexpensive compared to therapy costs. At least that's what I inform my darling husband. 😉💕

Agree! I garden in spring and fall. I knit in summer and winter. Two very different energy levels, but both satisfying. My disposable income buys yarn, tools, and patterns or seeds, plants, and garden tools. I recently bought a hose link…..game changer. Hubs was so happy he now doesn’t step over hoses.

I'm a crocheter and feel the same way. I've begun working on Christmas presents, already. It's so fun! I've been learning to crochet "real" socks! I got a lesson from Marly Bird. She and another woman have created a whole course in it. That is so exciting for me. I wish I had learned to knit as well as crochet. But, learning how to make these socks should be something I can use for other projects that will make them have a knit appearance. Pretty cool! Still, as expensive as yarn can be, it is cheaper than many medications and doctor visits. What's your favorite yarns, ladies?

Self care should not be a replacement for therapy, especially since therapy is a tool to get additional and outside input on problems

I hope you're all feeling better by now. It's awful when your littles are sick and Hubby too... :( NEVER apologize for family first! You don't have to worry about "stressing" us with your videos... we realize you have a "real life" just like us, that your house may be messy, Samantha Grace may cry, something may not be perfect and that's OK.... it makes you one of us....and we love that!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I also use a butter knife as a screwdriver and the other day I used a hammer to put two screws in, lol (not like there wasn't a drill, etc. to do the job, it was just easier to not have to drag all that out!)

Missed Aaron’s participation. But sorry he wasn’t feeling well . Appreciate you both seem to know when you need to step back. One less video and still the earth continued spinning. Keep on taking care of yourselves and those sweet children. Benjamin is a sweet child and reflects the great parenting he receives. Can’t wait for Samantha Grace to start talking and walking and adding to the videos. God Bless 💕🙏

Praying for health for Aaron and the kiddos. So precious to hear Benjamin talking to you in the car shed! 💙 Love your recap videos. Stay real, that’s what draws us to your channel. An idea for Aaron, we would love to see the behind the scenes of getting all the Christmas lights up. Could be a voice over or just Christmas music playing. Happy Sunday!
