100% agree that only you can make that change. I took a job where Saturdays are mandatory and before joining I had a rough idea that it’ll be ok assuming I still had two consecutive days off. Three months in and I haven’t had my two days nor an idea of anything changing soon. It’s just time to go

Regardless of drivers working long hours, success and achievement will never be done in 40 hours or 1 or 3 months. Everything takes long hours of work.

It can cause you to lose the energy for your own aspirations and goals, let's not forget that part. It can cause you to lose sight of your purpose if you aren't careful and chasing after that trucking bag. It's best to not focus on the money and focus on your purpose because purpose bring unlimited financial freedom and peace anyway.

Trucking is quick easy money. It doesn’t take anytime at all to start making 75-100k. But I promise you, invest in yourself. Find a skilled profession that not many men can do. Spend 5-6 years perfecting that skill, then start your own business.

What up big bro, Happy Fathers Day to you, hope it was a great one! Man things what I call not doing your due diligence. I heard an O/O say he hates his job because he stays gone all the time, it’s like people are jumping into trucking without doing their homework and understanding the career and the lane of trucking they’re choosing. Information changes situations!

From 2008 to 2008 i made the sacrifice to save save and save and from that time till January of this year i never missed any holidays, birthdays, or important time off. Even with Walmart my terminal feels family is first and u can get home extremely often. But because of my first 3years of trucking my kids got to get their own rooms amd have their own bathrooms, got to to go 22 countries, i just paid off my sons LVN program, and be able to help my 19yr old to even have the opportunity to put a down payment down on his first home, have their own cars at 15 and till they were grown, i mean all im saying is that you have to put the work in and out a plan together and make the sacrifices for ur family.

1. You can easily work more than 40/hrs per week on a white collar job and are given "comp time" once you get over 40. So depending on your company's policy you can easily work 40+ and not get paid overtime. 2. At least with trucking, you get paid for overtime. If not you can easily leave and get another job. 3. I'm working on going to a truck driving school via community college. I know once i get done i can have more freedom and employment opportunities. 4. Thanks to you im glad to know that many local companies can hire a new driver locally. Has anyone heard of US Foods? They seem to be a lot of them around here in North Florida along with Sysco.

Dang thats depressing now rhat i thibk on it. But you're 100% right. I work a regular job where I'm required to have my CDLs for the state. But I get to come home in the afternoons and I always have the weekends off unless I'm called in. But I'm able to go do things on the weekends and in the afternoons. Being stuck out on the road you may not get to have any sort of life at all other than driving. I think that's why people that do long-term over the road driving should do it for a few years and then if they want to get out of it and have a regular life then find something else. But stack your money and make as much money as you can I myself have no kids or a wife so I plan to try to do some type of Trucking in the future. But I can see where as a trucker you would wake up one day and everything has passed you by and you haven't got to really experience anything.

Hey Ant I need some advice if you got a minute. So I started at Roehl Transport in April. Through Roehl I was able to obtain my CDL by signing a contract to remain with them for one year. A few days Roehl decided to terminate because I was having trouble with my "backing". Since then I have applied to so many starter companies who have all given me the runaround on how I need 3-6 months. How can I get experience when no one will hire me. I have been told that I would have to wait one year before anyone will take a chance on me. Any advice? Congrats on your growing channel.
@imanthonytv
@imanthonytv Ай бұрын
Try applying to local food service companies and beverage companies. Both jobs are more inclined to hire new inexperienced drivers due to the high turnover rate in those industries. Once you get your driving experience up, you can transition into other jobs if you wanted to pivot. My only concern would be the “backing” aspect when you’re considering food service because there are many situations that will require you to back. With that said, I went through it as well as so many others at the beginning of their careers. You get better over time by getting the reps in daily behind the wheel. Going OTR would also be an option if you’re open to going that route. Good luck 👍🏾

Waiting to get loaded and waiting to get unloaded at consignee’s, waiting to get loads assigned, warehouses or stores refusing a delivery because they’re lazy even though you got there before the scheduled delivery time. And those delays affecting pre assigned loads and chain reaction effect constantly.companies assigning loads with impossible deadlines but guess what? It turns out the consignee doesn’t except loads on the weekend and it’s a Friday! Just constant bull. Oh and let’s not forget the pick up number doesn’t match and it’s a broker load and your company needs to get ahold of them and then get ahold of you. All of this with NO pay. I’ve heard it across all companies. Companies say they pay “detention” but 90% of the time it’s not true or you’re the reason why this is all happening. And if you weren’t such a Pos driver you would’ve known it was the wrong pick up number and straightened it up before pick up. The list goes on and on and on. Sorry for the rant

All truckers are getting paid unfairly, trucking is federally regulated job.Look at other federal regulated jobs compensation.Trucking is the only skilled job that don’t pay over time after 40 hours or after 8 hours. And if you do find a trucking job that pay over time they are over staffed, overtime for truckers is very much controlled. I am a trucker making 6 figure and I’m not getting over time, imagine if I was! Also in my opinion union trucking jobs are the worst! The minimum hourly pay for new truckers should be $40 an hour in my honest!
@imanthonytv
@imanthonytv Ай бұрын
I agree with some of what you stated. However, there are many trucking jobs that pay OT. Fuel hauling companies like Gemini Motor Transport (Love’s), CLI Transport (Sheetz), Pilot Flying J, etc. are just a few. There are food service companies & many LTL companies that pay OT as well. These are the type of questions that should be asked during the interview process before accepting a job offer. A simple “do you guy’s pay OT after 40” question would help people avoid this problem. If you say “well companies lie all the time”. If that’s the case you should find out pretty early after the first couple of paychecks.
@RenardoClayton876
@RenardoClayton876 Ай бұрын
I did 9 months at a food grade tanker company that lied about there wages, work was mad easy, it was a good experience for sure, you just gotta make the most out of every situations. Fuel hauling for sure be on that over time. Ltl? I’m not sure my guy. Most of my trucking experience is in ltl, in the north east and most if not all ltl drivers get cpm! I agree with what you said in the video “you just have to find what works for you” in trucking! Also I’m not complaining about ltl it’s obviously working for me and i enjoy doing it but like I said in the first comment, if drivers understand the trucking industry you will know what is fair compensation. Not because a driver make 6 figure mean it’s fair! We have to know our worth in this game in life as a matter of fact!
