Very interesting point of views. Sharing a common set of interests does help establishing a special connection ... so the girl who fially chose to only date people of her same nationality does have a point. But, then again, there are people who feel like a fish out of water in their own country and the Internet era allows them to connect with people maybe on the other side of the world but with whom they might have more in common. So it works both ways, I guess?

I think you have a point here. Similarities are quite important when it comes to successful relationships, and cultures shape our personalities and values to a large degree. But people who feel like outliers in their culture might have a harder time dating someone within their own culture. Luckily the world of internet allows us to connect with likeminded people from different places.

Very interesting! Regarding the dating of your own culture I think there might be somethign to it. However, in the end I believe it comes down to individual differences, I mean having a long lasting relationship with people from your own culture has no guarantee either.

I 100% agree with you. There is no guarantee in that either and personality differences are a key factor. Still, intercultural relationships may have some additional barriers that monocultural relationships don't have. But I am sure that there are also unique benefits to intercultural relationships.

@@TheMovementHub like the woman said, one of the benefits definitely is that differences can be interesting and attractive. Would be interesting to know if there are benefits in the long run too tho

@@pascalstraetmans5598 being the woman in the video, I personally think that differences on the long run can be like a drop that destroys a rock. But again... that's my experience.

@@pascalstraetmans5598 I.e. I'm italian and the Dutch refer to us as "temperamental "as opposite to them being very calm. At first this was a nice change , having someone "relaxed" next to me .. slowly I realized that that"calm" was actually "flatness " "lack of fire and passion in life" , which results on the long run to be beyond boring and killing the will of living 🤣

I wouldn't be lucky to meet a Dutch person, because I'm very shy, I would never have the courage to approach a man.But I still believe that this is a role for men, not women. From a second point of view, I am very romantic. 😂🤭👌🏼

I understand your point. But I am sure that there are also a lot of Dutch men that approach women. You can generally see many Dutch men being married to women from all kinds of cultures

These persons in the video do not represent the norm in The Netherlands. They may represent the Norm in Amsterdam, but most certainly not the entire country. So if you are looking for a sexually transmitted disease, then Amsterdam is the perfect place for that, since everybody seems to do each other all the time ;-)
