I'm 75 and use a piece of electrical tape cut in about 5/8 inch circle with 3/32 hole on my glasses and 200 readers, works well. Good info, thanks.

I heard that Denmark-Norway's M1794 musket has a self-priming mechanism that can speed up the reloading time of the musket. It involves a special breech plug with half-round groove and a conical touch hole. All you need to do is to close the frizzen, pour the corned black powder inside the barrel, and some powder will go to the pan. You don't need to turn the ramrod as you can use the two-headed ramrod to load it. There's a Norwegian collector having that musket. Maybe you can ask him to borrow it and try it out.😊

To my kmowledge it did not work that well when the musket got dirty. If stumble upon one I sure will be trying it out. Thanks for your comment.

@@iobey If I am not mistaken, one of my closest friends who used to woork as a restorer at the Noreegian armed forces museum said the very dame thing. But it would be fun to try it out.

@@snapshotscorner5542 Well, that thing's self-priming system is the same as the famous Prussian Potsdam Musket („Altpreußische Muskete“ / Modell 1780/87, Preußisches Schützengewehr 1787, Nothardt Gewehr / M 1801, „Neupreußische Muskete“ / M 1809), albeit with a few slightly different design. If you have a chance to try the M1794, might as well test the rumour about Prussian veteran can fire 5 shoots a minute. By the way, what's the diameter of the touch hole of M1794? The diameter of the touch hole of early model of Potsdam Musket were 3.5mm, before they changed it to 2.6mm.

@@iobey 5 shots a minute! Great. Talking about Prussian firearms. I just got me an new vintage mid 19th century Prussian Jæger rifle .60 cal. It wil be the topic for future videos. I will check the toutch hole with my friend he should know.

I'm 59 and can't shoot Buckhorn style sights, I put a skinner peep sight on my Henry Frontier and it now shoots like a laser.
