Thanks guys, it does look a crowded sky on tracker systems so I'm glad it is organised logically. It's weird feeling when your in a plane, casually looking out the window and another plane passes under you. My brother & Sil go on cruises and I follow them on a maritime tracker. Cheers DougT

There have been a few near misses lately but they've mainly been: 1) at airports with intersecting runways 2) caused by air traffic control errors

Question - as someone who has flown for many years including long haul flights to NZ from the U.K. in everything from A380s to Cessnas - why are RyanAir pilots being told to land at higher speed - recently had 4 very hard landings with them - noticed approach seemed fast… every one of them were very hard landings.. one of them saw the plane swerve into a taxiway as soon as speed had scrubbed off… Is RyanAir sacrificing safety for scheduling?
