Dana and Francis both have said the money was really fucking good, francis didnt say this but he also wouldnt know but Dana said “its the highest paid any HW wouldve ever been paid if he took the deal”

The ufc is trash. People need to know this. I started watching fights in the early 00's. My buddies and I bought every single ppv. Fast forward to about five years ago. I learned Dana doesn't pay his help. Fighters getting their brains beaten out, sleeping in gyms and couch surfing for peanuts. I will not donate to this cause ever again...

It's the gym and the trainers who end up with more income. When the fighter gets famous, the gym gains reputation and even the fighter retires his/her trainer can still train other fighters with lower risk of attaining a career ending injury, which is more common with the fighters.

True, but fans already know. The UFC got a big rebok sponsorship in 2015. After that, fighters were not allowed to have any individual sponsorships. Presumably, Rampage was individually sponsored by Rebok and it would have been taken away in favor of the UFC's Rebok sponsorship

A lot of MMA fans in the past 10 years are more so UFC fans. They view UFC as the big leagues and look down on other organizations. They aren’t really fans of MMA like people 20 years ago were. Fighters from Pride FC and Strikeforce proved that the best fighters in the world weren’t always in the UFC. Wish MMA organizations would allow cross promotional fights to see who the best really is. But anyway - Rampage is the man - wish he would have stayed at Light Heavyweight though.

I don't generally have a problem with the pay that the fighters receive, but the UFC taking away in-cage fighter sponsorships and making that atrocious Reebok deal was straight wrong. Especially in Rampage's case since he had an individual Reebok deal prior to that.
