A lot of good people are within religion and have had transformed minds from religious teachings. stalin did not believe it because he refused to turn to good teachings,a refusal to repent. You cant disregard what good religious teachings have been taught and written over centuries. Why would you discount it all as worthless? The 10 commandments show the best in man,to not steal, not kill, not cheat and not lie. micah 6:8He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?'. Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do right; seek justice and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless and plead the case of the widow."

@@alexharvey452 Seriously? --------------------------------------------------------- *This website is designed to spread the vicious truth about the Bible. For far too long priests and preachers have completely ignored the vicious criminal acts that the Bible promotes. The so called God of the Bible makes Osama Bin Laden look like a Boy Scout. This God, according to the Bible, is directly responsible for many mass-murders, rapes, pillage, plunder, slavery, child abuse and killing, not to mention the killing of unborn children.* I have included references to the Biblical passages, so grab your Bible and follow along. *It always amazes me how many times this God orders the killing of innocent people even after the Ten Commandments said Thou shall not kill.* For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses (Joshua 6). In Judges 21 He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! *Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody!* In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 & Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9). ***This type of criminal behavior should shock any moral person.*** ***Murder, rape, pillage, plunder, slavery, and child abuse can not be justified by saying that some god says it’s OK.*** If more people would actually sit down and read the Bible there would be a lot more atheists like myself. *Jesus also promoted the idea that all men should castrate themselves to go to heaven:* For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it (Matthew 19:12). *I don’t know why anyone would follow the teachings of someone who literally tells all men to cut off their privates.* The God of the Bible also was a big fan of ritual human sacrifice and animal sacrifice. *And just in case you are thinking that the evil and immoral laws of the Old Testament are no longer in effect, perhaps you should read where Jesus makes it perfectly clear:* It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid (Luke 16:17). There are many more quotes on this topic at my Do Not Ignore the Old Testament web page. *If you follow the links on this site you will learn about all the nasty things in the Bible that are usually not talked about by priests and preachers.* www.evilbible.com/ Watch *"Context!!!!!!"* by NonStampCollector (A good video for believers who try to rationalise Biblical atrocities and immorality by saying "Out of context".)

Central to the Judaeo Christian belief for 4,000 years is the recognition of "The Fall". Essentially, this is saying the world we see is in essence, radically different from the one that "ought to be". Without this realization we loose all sense of rationality. By simple observation we know that a child born without an arm is somehow less than what it "ought to be". With atheism their can be no difference between "is" and "ought". All is simply the result of molecules in motion. There is no right or wrong about it. It simply "is". End of discussion. Should the atheist claim that the child "should have an arm"..... by necessity he is uttering nothing more than an opinion. "In his 1995 Templeton Prize address, Paul Davies (also not a Christian) said this regarding some presuppositions of science, “However, even the most atheistic scientist accepts as an act of faith that the universe is not absurd, that there is rational basis to physical existence manifested as law-like order in nature that is at least part comprehensible to us. So science can proceed only if the scientist adopts an essentially theological worldview.”

@@Ex-Mohammed_Anwar Exactly. We don’t (if we’re responsible) let children have access to porn or recreational drugs, so why is it legal to expose them to far more dangerous material, such as the torah, bible and qur’an? The results of such exposure aren’t just potentially damaging to the children, but to the wider society, in a range of ways. No one under the age of 18 should be allowed to read such dangerous nonsense, it literally changes the way that people “think”, and it’s to their detriment. Look at Andrew Knight and John Lennox; one is a physics lecturer at Harvard and one is a maths lecturer at Oxford university. I'm sure they're both great at their jobs, but listen to them talking about their belief systems, and they are complete idiots! One experiment reported in New Scientist (sadly, I've lost the issue, and would have to sign up to New Scientist in order to, possibly, find the article), detailed interesting results with religious people in fMRI scanners, which will, hopefully, shed some light on the subject. These people were told that the next person they would hear was high up in their belief system. What happened was, the "suspicion circuits"* of the brain literally switched off. It's the same part of the brain that switches off when we're asleep, so that we don't (usually) question the insane situations we find ourselves in, in dreams. My mother was a christian, and had a high IQ (she could easily have joined Mensa, but didn't like the snobby attitude of some of its members), so it bewildered me, as a child, how she could fall for the blatant bullshit of the bible. Obviously this was long before the study was carried out, and also long before I discovered just how awfully powerful, insidious and dangerous brainwashing is. I've talked to people who have said, "you can't call me stupid, I'm a lawyer/doctor/business person, etc", but I can call them stupid, because, when it comes to their belief system, it doesn't matter if they're a skillful surgeon, a successful business person, a sharp lawyer, etc, I might as well be arguing with a backward child. There is clearly NO proper critical thinking being applied, even though they are convinced that there is. *New Scientist's term, not mine.

@user-nz8uy1zm3z your god isn’t real because evil exists. And no don’t try using the argument about us needing a god for evil. Let me ask you this, do you think killing children is evil. If that answer is yes, then why does god allow them to be killed? The free will argument doesn’t work here for this reason. If someone pointed a gun to someone’s head but you had the ability to stop them without any risk to yourself, wouldn’t you do it? Or would you say that the murderer has free will? If someone pointed a gun to your head and there was a person with a button that could stop them from killing you without harming anyone, wouldn’t you expect them to press it? There is no reason for an all loving god to allow people to be killed by others when he can just stop the killers without harming them or anyone else. If this god is all-powerful, why not just show the murders the error of there ways?

What theists don't realise is that many of their posts are arguments _against_ their belief systems. These would be the gods that, according to the bible: Have turned a woman into a pillar of salt. Have "withered the young in the womb". Have psychologically tortured people. Have committed genocide. Have set bears on children. Have destroyed entire cities. Have sent "delusions" to lead people into trouble. Have murdered all the first born. Have encouraged murder. Have encouraged the killing of animals just to burn them for sacrifices. Have supported slavery. Have conned people into burning their babies. Have encouraged the r*pe of children. Have created people specifically knowing that they are going to be eternally tortured, and arranging it all beforehand, with knowledge aforethought, ie the WORST CRIMINAL ACTIONS imaginable. Your gods are alleged to have done* all these things and committed many more atrocities. Then there's the abusive relationship with humans: "Look what you made me do. You made me torture my son to death. I only hurt you because I love you. You are complete shit, utterly worthless, and even the best of your deeds are like dirty rags to me!" • Of course no gods did any such things, as it’s _all make believe._

What's pathetic about Christianity is the notion that you can pawn off ALL of the criminal sht' you did onto somebody else who is your special little scapegoat to take all of the blame for your bad choices😂 Some of us are responsible and we do not need to point our finger at somebody else in an attempt to avoid the consequences of our bad choices. How does a person learn anything from their mistakes if they never have to take responsibility for them. Christianity= irresponsible

Religion can use the fear of the supernatural to inflict control where nond is needed, to benefit the priestly class. Rekigion that removes loyalty and allegiance to a priestly class, king, ruler, ( like Christianity-your standard is Love, compassion, and not to things 'of this world, which means acquiring, showing off, climbinv the corporate ladder') and encourges self-sacrifice, is so very different. All the world 's human evil is based on tbe narcissistic abuse of power, and convincinv others to join the side if the powerful. It does not matter if religious, or human manipulation. Any manipulation or coercion basedon threat is tyranny. Christians do not worship Chfist and God out of the fear of hell. They worship Him because they want to be like Ultimate Love Itself. They pledge their loyaly to the Master Coach who will help them excel far beyondwhat they could ever accomplish on their own. The Allah of Mohammad is warlike and coercive. The I AM of the Hebrews is not. Nor is Christ.

[38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. 🙏 Mark 12:30-31 KJV And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 🙏🙏 Luke 10:27-37 KJV And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. [28] And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. [29] But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? [30] And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. [31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. [32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. [33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, [34] And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. [36] Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? [37] And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. ✝️ 🙏🙏🙏

What Mr. Dawkins forgets to tell about skepticism and being skeptical at all time about what you are being told, is the fact that as such a skeptical being, one must always be skeptical about your own reasoning and, to be sure that when u try to skeptically at somethign u been told, that u do it not just for the sake of it, but that you also make the effort to acknowledge and be able to see that was has been told to u IS true after all. This is what a lot of people in the modern skepticism sphere keeps forgetting, they just blindly question everything for the sake of it, or even let their own bias and ideas blind them from the truth.

All of Abraham's children need to GRASP their HOLY BOOKS from the Spiritual pov or these conflicts will NEVER EVER EVER STOP and Abraham's descendants (ALL OF THEM ) will continue to be a curse in the earth instead of a LIGHT for the world: I wish I could exclude Christianity from this curse but they are not exempt from it because of how they may believe in Jesus but most Christians today still do not yet "KNOW" in whom they believe. Jews don't have the Holy Spirit (only David ever had the Holy Spirit which is what the CHOSEN are given to understand the Bible from a spiritual POV): It says no one can say Jesus is Lord but by the HOLY SPIRIT: Why? Because Jesus is born when the ANOINTING (Christ) is born through the heart by the Holy Spirit: Jesus then never was a person born through sex but the SEED OF GOD (HASHEM) which is a SPIRITUAL SEED, is born through the heart (Mark 4 the parable of all parables, explains this along with John 16, showing that the woman (heart) gives birth to Christ, not the sexual part of female: Here is why a male can give birth to Christ through the good part of their heart as much as a female sexually, because the SOUL is neither male or female. This is also why "virgin" is a metaphor of the heart (desire) that is able to bring the anointing into the world, the 30 fold (Mark 4) which is the LETTER LAMED =teacher that brings us above the line ): Virgin has nothing to do with a sexual virgin and this is true for those poor Muslims that give their lives to get 70 virgins, but that's another story: The GOOD GROUND of the heart is the virgin ground of being that is able to bring forth the SEED of the woman (Israel) through Judah (praise of Yah) because Praise is PERFECTED in the mouth of babes (David was the YOUNGEST of Jesse's children) and a CHILD shall lead the soul back to God/Hashem. Having said all this for 31 years, only those who also EXPERIENCE the HOLY SPIRIT grasp it: Jews don't grasp Jesus or Torah as a tree of life because they don't have the HOLY SPIRIT, the ANOINTING (Christ) that reveals the truth that sets us FREE. Even the most intelligent Jews and Christians too, don't understand or "KNOW" Jesus until the baptism into the Holy Spirit which is baptism into Jesus name. The most intelligent people from all religions or atheism, get Jesus wrong because they can't wrap their mind around the meaning of "MAN" in the Bible, not grasping that males are animate but MAN is the IMAGE and LIKENESS of God and deals with the soul, not the sexual physical part of us. : Without the HOLY Spirit it is impossible to understand the Bible period: Moses for instance is a CODE NAME (drawn from the water) which is the subconscious, the sea that splits open in us when the SOUL escapes from the ego or identity with our first born status, our physical self and mind. Moses then is the CONSCIENCE that comes out of Israel when they are so overwhelmed by being slaves to the ego (EGYPT) that they can't take it anymore and MOSES appears to take them out of the EGO (EGYPT): The conscience however doesn't get it completely right in that it doesn't FULLY GRASP how to teach the SOUL HOW TO SPEAK to the rock (that gives the LIVING WATER or anointing) but instead it does what Jews have been doing since they lost Moses (their conscience) which is get angry at those (including one another) who can't bring the LIVING WATER out of the rock: HASHEM (GOD) told their conscience, SPEAK to the rock to get the living water: SPEAKING is prophesying which Moses said HE WISHED ALL ISRAEL WOULD DO: WHY? Because then they would GET THE ANOINTING from the rock (Christ ) that was with Israel in the wilderness: So HASHEM said to the conscience of Israel and is still saying it today, YOU DID NOT SANTIFY MY NAME IN THE FACE OF THIS PEOPLE. So Moses, you die and are buried on Mt NEBO (means PROPHET) so when you are resurrected by the ONE WHO DOES SPEAK THE WORD to raise the dead which is you (the conscience) and Elijah (the DESIRE FOR MESSIAH or the anointing, also law and prophets) YOU WILL DO what you should have done when I told you to do it: SPEAK to the rock, YOU will then prophesy to the DEAD BONES OF THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL and the VALLEY shall be exalted while the mountain (EGO) shall be laid low, as the crooked (serpent, will) is made straight::

How is the content of this consistent with Dawkins's claim to be a cultural Christian? Should we assume that Dawkins chooses the best worldview on offer for himself? Is cultural Christianity a result of "religion"? How, in this case, does the title of this video make sense?

@@damienschwass9354 Hear him discuss it yourself in a < 10-minute interview video titled "Richard Dawkins: I'm a Cultural Christian" I'd be unsurprised that even the willingness to make such an admission was sparked by the essay from his (formerly atheist) friend Ayaan Hirsi Ali, "Why I am Now a Christan." And, then, Ayaan's reasons for abandoning atheism were significantly built upon Tom Holland's work. Holland, himself either an atheist or an agnostic, has said, "To believe in human rights requires just as much a leap of faith as believing that the Lord Jesus Christ rose on the third day and ascended into heaven." That comment may seem "out there" until you consider that it lines up nicely with what Dawkins said decades ago, "In a universe of blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference." This *no evil, no good* from Dawkins in a world absent God lines up perfectly with Holland's view that materialism/naturalism won't get you to binding/transcendent value. On materialism/naturalism, we are an accidental amalgam of atoms and their constituents. Another of the vociferous atheists, Michael Shermer, has, since the Ayaan essay, also made startling admissions that one would have been surprised to hear him make otherwise.

I like lawyers. Lawyers are the smartest people. I base this on the observable fact that they use the language better than anyone else. Plus, they are the ones that make up the rules and see to their implementation. Legal arguments by definition can not possess any ideology. They can only use facts in evidence, and they use these facts to try to persuade a jury what these facts imply. Facts are subject to interpretation so there is usually another lawyer trying to say that those same facts mean something different. Krauss, Dawkins, Tyson, et al are not smart enough to be lawyers. Evidence as it pertains to scientific theory can be easily dismissed and it will hurt you not one bit. But the kind of evidence that lawyers deal with is very important as the quality of a person's life can depend on a good lawyer. KZbin comments section is to discussion and debate what the dumpster behind McDonalds is to cuisine. Not surprising that atheism is flourishing on this medium. One guy that could debate well was Plato. "Atheism is a disease of the soul, before it becomes an error of understanding." Plato Plato knew what he was saying.

The two most problematic religions are Christianity and Islam. And the best way to dismantle them is not through atheism but through 'universal spirituality.' Just wait until I publish my book; then, I'll show you how. Except for a few verses, there is hardly any truth in the Quran, Hadith, or the Bible. The concepts of hell, heaven, the last days, judgment, resurrection, and salvation, as described in the Bible or Quran, do not exist in reality. Nevertheless, a genuine concept of God or the Absolute exists. We must conceive of it in terms of Nature or the Quantum field (as in Spinoza's conception of God), yet there's more depth to it. The idea of holy individuals, enlightened beings, remains valid, and indeed, some do possess supernatural abilities like levitation or the capacity to perform other miracles. The principle of cause and effect is paramount; every action bears consequences. Morality stands as a cornerstone of life. Our conscience guides us in distinguishing right from wrong. It's essential to delve into the concept of suffering and ways to transcend it by merging with the Absolute, and to actively alleviate the suffering of humanity.

I want to talk about Carl Sagan. To many people Carl Sagan was a voice of reason. He was a kind and intelligent man who took on the position of educating the masses. His lectures and presentations were edifying and helpful in promoting enlightenment among the masses. I say bullshit! I say that Carl Sagan was a propagandist who spread hate and division amongst the masses. Under the guise of scientific enlightenment, he justified condescension and derision towards Christians and other believers. And he does it in a sneaky and passive/aggressive way, which makes him even more despicable! Science is owned by the people who fund it. If science didn't help to make profits for industrialists or if it didn't feed the war machine, then it wouldn't exist except for maybe in cloister. Sagan worked for NASA. I think for PR as much as anything. His presence made NASA look like it had a peaceful, beneficial to humanity mission. NASA was publicly funded R&D for defense contractors. Data obtained through the projects at NASA helped the defense establishment to build ICBM's. Sagan was certainly a part of the Military Industrial Complex. In his own little way, he contributed to the war machine. (Sagan wasn't very bright and I am sure he was just a useful idiot.) Sagan and his modern counterparts are copies of each other. They all say the same thing. None of them will ever talk about the dark side of the technocracy. They will never mention that science has enabled copious amounts of pollution. They will never talk about how science feeds the war machine. Leaving out a large part of the story makes him deceptive. Public Broadcasting isn't funded by hippies. It is funded by serious businesspeople who work at large, worldwide, corporations. Big oil, big agriculture. I have seen where BP and Archer Daniels have underwritten PBS presentations. Why would such wealthy, smart and powerful people be so interested in indoctrinating the masses? I don't know! As far as the science he was pushing: Big Bang cosmology is highly theoretical. In order to find out if the hypotheses about the big bang are true, we would have to get in a space cruiser and get a closer look. I doubt that will ever happen. Evolution is just plain stupid. There never has been a clear demonstration that evolution is true. If you want to believe that slime on a rock turned into Beethoven that is your business. It is also true to say that one can reject evolution and it will in no way hurt the quality of their life. Evolution is a hobby that is used for atheist propaganda. In science theory means no practical value as much as anything else. Carl Sagan got the job because of his nerdy good looks and warm demeanor. It is just show business. Carl is an equivalent to a televangelist preacher. (Carl was an agnostic.) Carl got the job because he looked good on television and his handlers knew that would help the indoctrination to sink in the minds of the public. With Carl Sagan one doesn't get the full story. One only hears what the people who sign his paycheck want them to hear.

Thats a hell of a claim, and as a diest. I can stand firm when i say thats the most absent minded outlook on our reality. Religion simply put is a story or outlook of a group of people seeking good for all, we all have our own paths just as all the profits did in thier journey to share how they found something greater and how they defended against the lesser. That being said "religion" is the only thing holding us together and seperating us at the same time. Not everyone will be at the same understanding all at the same when videos with titles like this one keep misleading. But heres your sign... i acknowledge your actions and may this comment consume the negativity instead of my fellow human.

In your comment a small spelling error, "profits" instead of "prophets," served to remind me of what organized religion has largely become: a tax-free windfall for the many charlatan-hucksters and TV-preachers who prey upon the meek and credulous among us. Within a hierarchy of sins, this has to be one of the worst.
