I’m trying to decide what shock to go with. I want bilstein but I don’t seem to see a adjustable shock. I’m trying to do a mid travel Silverado build. I want to be able to tackle moderate trails and gravel/dirt roads with as much speed as I can safely do and not get beat to death. I’m gonna order a CWF upper control arm because that’ll give me 2 inches more of travel. So I’m thinking that’s gonna be 10inches of travel. 5 up 5 down. I don’t plan on lifting it much, maybe a inch or two. Eventually I wanna get U182 rear leafs and CWF hanger/shackle kit. I’ll probably have to install limit straps but it’ll ride real nice then. Beats you to death right now it’s so stiff.

Bro, not saying that anything you said was wrong, but in MY experience, at the slow speeds with which we're crawling over obstacles, overheating our shock oil is not a factor. Now, if we're at KOH....then yeah. But really, for rock or mall crawling, rez shocks IN MY HUMBLE OPINION are just for looks. But you were 100% correct when you said they look cool!!👍🏻😎🤘🏻

@@ShockWaveOffroad speaking facts, air shock buggies, churched up ORI air shocks wont fade unless your going through whoops or 60-70mph down washboard roads for an extended amount of time, really the ONLY benefit of a RR is longer shock travel being up and down travel, thats the ONLY reason I went with my 3 year old falcon 3.3 12.4 travel other than that they ride like any stiff monotube shock and I guess look "cool" now I'm working on swapping them out with 14" ORI now that I dont daily it anymore, that being said you'll be happy with the 5160 their good shocks seen them take trail abuse and hold up well

My Rocksports faded really bad on the Rubicon. 12 hours of nonstop crawling made them HOT, towards the end my rig would lean pretty bad on anything even slightly off camber

Piggyback always better because no hose to fail. Fitment is the issue. Moving floating piston out of main body into resi allows more room for working piston to travel.

Any leaking problems? Ride quality still going well? I'm running Gladiator Rubicon take offs (on my Gladiator) . They seem too soft. I'm in the bump stops when going through mild dips on road. Also running antirock sway bar so i get a lot of side to side motion i'd like to get in check. Really thinking about these shocks. Pretty close to Rocksport travel in the 3-4.5" inch shocks.
