The Ukraine-Russia conflict being viewed as a "complicated European conflict that does not require <insert state> to stand against and/or cut ties with Russia" is actually a relatively common perspective in many countries outside the Western spheres of influence; i.e. the classic "third world countries" (where first world = NATO and second world = USSR/Russia).

All the BRIC countries are moving away from US hegemony, they're sick of the US using the reserve status of the USD as a weapon. This is the elephant in the room you missed in this video. Truly, we are witnesses to the end of US empire. Expect much more global instability as US hegemony and the usd reserve status declines.
