It’s great that Sawyer is actually willing to speak out, and I think it’s something this league has been missing as most things are kept in house (understandably) but this is great.

Wow this makes so much sense: Behen was SUPER devastated losing the World Series but I had huge expectations for him this past season. At some point I felt he should’ve took the Ace Role from Baronowski & I was very very confused why it never happened and then I noticed that his heart wasn’t all the way there on the field with the Cobras. Makes sense that he wanted out. That World Series Loss & in the fashion that they lost really destroyed that team altogether. Hopefully that number 2 pick can fill that Behen role & more. Behen going to the Gators is SUPER dope, I’m excited for it. He’s the missing piece to get them in the playoffs. They have the Grit, Jorgensen is one of my favorites coming off a great season. This is gonna be good lol

Summary: The Cobras got fleeced, but do not mind because they do not place a high value on winning. If the Cobras go 3-12, but the vibes are good (which is impossible on a 3-12 team, but no matter), they will be satisfied.

The Gators get a lot of heat for their season this past year. I personally don’t think they were as bad as everyone makes them out to be. Both Cheetam and Jorgensen weren’t bad on the mound. A lot of their losses early on in the season came from very unlucky situations. A lot of their games were low scoring games. The pitching was good. It often came down to the wire and some weird play in the field that didn’t go their way. Of course their batting needs to be better so they aren’t in situations like that, but they limited runs well with Cheetam and Jorgensen on the mound. Not sure how they are going to incorporate Sawyer on the mound. I always thought Cheetam did his job on the mound but lacked production at the plate. However Sawyer can pitch and has an energy that the Gators need. Behen will be an interesting fit. I’m curious if he will be more of a slap ball hitter or if he’s going to try to swing for power. The Gators need more slap ball hitters. Cheetam swings for the fence every dang at bat. It will be fun to see what happens. Szerlag I don’t see even getting much playing time on the Cobras to be honest, but we’ll see how their draft goes

Started as a Cobras fan and then when they drafted Jorgy and Chris, I jumped ship. Last couple years as a gators fan has been tough, but things are looking up! Love the drive on this kid. Gives the Gators the energy they need!

I can see the Gators making a run in ‘24. When it comes to the Cobras last season, sometimes the mix of players just doesn’t work out, whether it’s a personality thing or a bad fit. The 2024 MLW Draft is going to be wild!!

QOTD: Do you guys think MLW should expand to 10-12 teams. and sort of connected, could that maybe allow free agency to exist? I think it would be cool to agree to deals and stuff even tho its not financially driven. I really hate to see private drama spill into the public in this league, which has always been a real source of positivity online. I hope the move is good for Behen, but I think this interview puts the pressure on him for the upcoming season. If he comes out and plays well, he will be vindicated and will look good for it. If he doesn't play well, or if the Cobras have a really good year, he'll come off looking like a malcontent who jumps ship when things don't go his way. That said, I really have a hard time seeing how a tea session like this is going to be positive for the league. The best thing going for it is that it came out before the draft and hopefully the draft will get things back on a positive track and push this back to the background where it belongs. Hate to see the guys airing their own dirty laundry on official channels.

Watching the games over the last three years... I don't believe Drew Davis is a leader. He's a great player but isn't poised enough to be a manager. Granted.. Age and reflection brings wisdom and he may develop into a good manager at some point but as of right now.. He's not a team leader, a team cheerleader, a support system. Demeanor is EVERYTHING when you're a manager. Sawyer Behen (statistically) was the 2nd best hitter on the team and you do him like that? Sawyer.. Good luck on the Gators next year. Drew.. Take a step back and learn how to "lead" a team. Iron fist leadership only works in the military.. not baseball.

Did him dirty how? He pitched the most innings on the team and batted 2nd. Ask anyone else on the cobras if I lead the team with an iron fist and they would laugh.

@@drewdavis8184 Then why would Sawyer say what he said then? Was he just being overdramatic? Or more to the more honest point that "Where there's smoke.. there's typically fire." You need to look in the mirror and think on why your OWN guy put you on blast. That's the point here. Your OWN man said that you didn't encourage him nor support him but explained that if he "walks two guys with no outs.. I'm pulling you" when at a place and time during a game he needed that extra support from his manager and not.. "Do this or else!"
