I lost my entire childhood in this. Couldn't watch tv for more than an hour couldn't play as much as I want because middleclass parents think if their kids do good in school they'll become super successful but they should understand nobody cares about marks. Don't steal their childhood from them because once it's gone it's gone.

Too much of tv or phone addiction will cause lack of attention or distraction issues..we should be able to focus on doing work without distraction and with full concentration. Watching you tube shorts and other such format videos will cause issues..i think your parents are right in what they were doing.. childhood have to be used for learning and for social interaction with others..this will help us in our adult hood. Any child left on its on will will destroy itself.

I understood this in college, inspite of being a class topper in medical college I moved out of it and took up BBA, because I realised that is not the life I want to have. After struggling so much to get into medicine, I realised there was even more levels of challenges and that is never ending, and I don't have the mental peace. I am a very empathetic person and I can't work in sad environment every day.

I think this video is most relevant till date in my opinion becoz growing years of a kid determine it's future .Parents play most imp role in this regard. I see many parents in my circle who themselves set a career for their kids & being dependent upon parent kids have to obey them. This one mistake ruins the whole life of their kids in every aspect . My D-in-law was forced to do medical coaching at kota .But thank God she had the guts to say No after one year & pursuaded Fashion Designing fm NIFT. Now she is very happy working as fashion designer. We as parents never forced our both sons & let them to follow their dreams . Our D-in- law is so happy with our way of thinking that only in one year marriage she became so close to us

Education is not all about schooling studies. Children also need to be taught about how to manage their emotions, thought processes, little bit of psychological strength is very important. I was a victim of being a smart student and I was emotionally and psychologically not strong enough. I had to go through the cycle of depression to understand these things. I learnt to observe myself and my cognitive biases. Still learning. But it’s more important than the marks you see on your mark sheets or packages and money.

Just 2 days ago I had this same discussion with my wife because she was putting pressure on my son. I told her that I myself was a mediocre in academics but good in art. However I pursued computers (my passion that grew automatically) without much struggle and have been doing good since 15 years in it now. However, I see some of my relatives who struggled a lot but couldn't achieve much in life. It seems life is simple, but we make it complicated, which is what I learnt.

You are so right, sir. I was a 'brilliant' student in primary school and middle school, always at the top of my class. By high school, I started facing competition. I did okay in my board exams, but others in my class did better than me. In college, I became completely average, struggling to pass, even though I studied just as hard as before. Looking back now, I think it was because I studied too hard when I was very young due to parental pressure, at an age when other boys and girls were enjoying themselves. In Class 12, others also began studying hard and so did better than me. I could not improve because I had already peaked. It got worse in college. It took me a long time to reconcile to my own mediocrity.

Yes bro, studying hard in primary or even high school gives a false impression that we are intelligent. While the fact is we are just doing too much ratta of easy knowledge. Real education only starts in college onwards that too for only science fields. So kids should be encouraged to play more and develop extra curricular talents during school years or findout their fields of interest and focus on study only during college years.

She is at par with most of those going for coaching.. I intend to follow the same in her Xth too. Let her pursue what she wishes after X and also there are tons of options to choose after XII. Also do seek for a career counselor before taking any big decision. I wish her all the best . Ps- I have just graduated (engg) heavily burned out and not interested in joining corporate sector for now. This video resonates with me very well. It's not that I'm a bad student bt I'm not interested to toil this hard for something I don't like. Kind of fallen into a boring lifestyle without any motivation to do anything. But it's not very late, I'm trying to figure out things which will make me feel alive more. Also taking care of my mental health and body. Hope things come out well

And there is no point working harder nd harder for a task that outweighs one's capabolities. But she doesn't understand. She says "mehnat se sab kuchh hasil kiya ja sakta hai". Ab unhe kaise samjhau ki har kisi ka dimag ek jaisa nhi hota. Aur har koi same level ki mehnat bhi nhi kar sakta. Machhli kabhi ped pe chhad sakti hai kya chahe jitna bhi 'hard work' kare😂

This is my every time argument with my mom. I always tell not to put pressure on my niece. I give her my eg. That she never put pressure on me but on other hand she is putting pressure on her. No degree or diploma required. I’m earning with my skills.

Rank of IITs in the world -> 155/174/197 World's toughest entrance exams -> IIT This means to take entrance in 197th ranked college you need to give world's toughest examination This means a cucumber worth 10 crore and due to propaganda people wants to buy it

There are some tendencies that are commonly found in hard working studying students: 1. Most of them are nerds. 2. They frequently ignorant about the concept of sex education, sex chats or sex awareness which will affect their life in the future. 3. They are very serious about something went wrong even, like comming late in office , talking with their politely even if their parents talking nonsense. 4. They just obey the boss and their shitty office work like heaven and think that this is the best job in the world 5. They just want to become something great but not like to do something great except their educational curriculum 6. Their risk taking ability is very low and they are very much defensive about their carrier. 7. They just want to marry after achieving something desireble position or money in corporate like even after earning 50-90k pm they do not marry because they set a criteria that it is suitable for him if he will be earning approx 1.5l pm etc. and I am sure that this will ruin their life once again. 8. They thought that life is all about study but the reality is study is just part of your life.

Exactly Sir. Son of my colleague is too good in studies but he is too introvert. No communication or speaking skills. He just keeps on studying and his parents get very happy on his high marks. But his social skills is zero. My kids r good, their social skills r so good. Though my boys r 5 and 8 yrs .

I was lucky to find this channel and this video. This seems to be a story of my life. Entire my childhood, I was a topper but I knew from within how much burn out I was. But in my college days, I just gave up on hard work. Watever came easily, I just went for it. Since then, I may not be overachieving, but inside, I am at peace. This video just revalidated my thoughts ❤

College selection in US for higher education has an old mantra : Don't go to a super top university where you will be in bottom... (Even if you have been offered admission)... It's better to join a lower grade univ where you can be in comfortable top 25% . Standford has a syndrome called ' Duck Syndrome ' where univ students sit like zombies in parks... cool from exterior but frantically paddling like a duck from inside. Long term sustainability of sustained high pressure 😁 has never been achieved by anything or anyone on this earth... volcanoes erupt, earthquakes come...when tectonic plates are under tremendous stress... Work smart ....not hard. Be a professional...not a labourer (even if you are running a Fortune 500 company or a sandwich shop). Reason for this is Cortisol: an emergency hormone which takes over after adrenaline phase...it is catabolic in nature and slowly destroys you from inside if sustained pressure is there leading to sustained cortisol levels. Adrenaline+ Cortisol are by definition Emergency Hormones.

Real clarity. What a insight. Parents and our youngsters should understand this. These motivational and KZbin gurus are the biggest culprits who preach - that anything can be achieved if you put your mind ,soul and effort in it. Not really! Unless you have a natural talent and therefore a relative advantage tgan everyone else in the race.
