@@beattheclock7509 Today I trained my 4 year old son for skiing.since he is still slow, I followed him by imitating these drills, and try to correct my small mistakes during the turn, after one hour, I felt much more comfortable to ski fast. Thanks a lot again for this video.🙂

I have found that doing some drills very slowly can increase their effectiveness...especially Garlands, starting at 2:07

@@beattheclock7509 BTW, the drill starting at 02:11 is very similar if not close to exact the same one to the one I build my short turn video on here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWXQh4aXmZqMlZo I learned it from a ski instructor in Austria, mentioned in the video, back in the 80s I think it was. Anyway, take a look a give me your thoughts.

@@Triggerboy62yess, it is very much the same exercise, in my optinion there is a sublte difference: you´re demonstration is more taylored for short turns, i.e. simulates the end of the turn AND the reaction you get from the skis , whereas her exercise is more taylored for a smooth transition within a carving turn. But in general it is the same exercise, fully agree!

From the 1:00 mark, how is she able to have such a short radius on that turn?
@beattheclock75092 жыл бұрын
When the ankles, knees, hips, shoulders and head all work simultaneously and everything is well-coordinated, then it is possible to do these kinds of slow-turns with such a small radius.

Это хорошо демонстрирует Кристофферсен в своем известном ролике "Start the turn like H.K".

Yess! Really low skiing is a good one!
