It's sickening to wear my MAGA hat with a mask on! I'm not doing it no more. I did it! Long enough! Only the hat from now on! I'm gonna be the true hero. Because real hero's don't wear surgical masks in public. Heros dont sit in their homes day after day and stare at cnn! But that's what these Communist/progressive fools want......is to label sheep as the heros. The same way they label boys as girls & girls as boys! And riot gangs as peaceful protesters, and peaceful protesters as white supremacist! These people are whacked! I don't care what anybody says! They're whacked! @Timothy Somerville : Who said he died of Covid 19? I gaurantee that's a lie if you heard that from liberal newspapers? And don't worry, you can just wear your mask. You'll be fine. You got the right to wear your mask. I'm not gonna stop you. But don't stop me cause I ain't wearing it. And i don't have Covid! Dont personally know anybody who does. And at first, I did wear a mask. For months. And months! I'm done! No more. They're never gonna end it so....I am. But you just don't see that it's not about the mask as much as it is about all the rules that comes with it. Like lockdown/quarantine and businesses going under. Unemployment and failed stocks. If you think that .05% death rate is worth all the hysteria than you might as well be dead. Because this is no way to have to live in a free and open society. Because there won't be a free and open society left if people let the government boss us around on personal levels. It's just not good. If you cant see that it's because you haven't reached the age of 40 yet? I'm 54. And you've probably have never had to support a family either. So......when you grow up then come back and talk. I'm waiting for the proof of the Presidents brothers death cause?

Timothy Somerville no they’re not but even if they were thank God for some balance to the utter bullshit of the left! I’m having they’re ideology forced down my throat via MSM, Hollywood, politicians, commentators, academics and SJW’s. More police are murdered each year by criminals than people who die in custody. Let’s cut the bullshit, most deaths result from the reaction of the arrested. There are over 1 million police interactions each year and I’ll leave you and Skutch to work out the percentage that lead to death of the incarcerated. You’re both obviously more intelligent than me. I’m just a tax paying, parent who’s politics are to the right now I’ve seen the light. I’m part of the white supremacy tyrannical patriarchy obviously and as such my views should be ignored or silenced.

And they will eventually destroy one-another! Regardless that they're on the same side. Because lefties don't want free speech for all; they want 1 speech for all! They also do Not want equality for all; but oppression for all. This (In their minds) would result in equality? Fools.

It's entirely possible, and quite simple: institute a nationwide voucher system for schools. The thought police have a foothold in society because they have a stranglehold on education at all levels. If parents had freedom to enroll their kids in a wide range of schools, and if schools were only paid for the students they enroll (just like -- wait for it! -- private schools!), then the thought police wouldn't have anyone paying them. Any parents who want their kids learning to add and write clearly will take their kids out of taxpayer-funded schools, and parents who prefer that teachers coach their children to mutilate their genitalia and poison themselves with hormones can continue to send their kids to the government propaganda day cares. It won't take too many years before crappy SJW teachers find themselves with no students. And it all comes from making the money follow the students.

However, I'm disappointed that for a man who is keenly aware of religiosity, he didn't propose the main reason why useful idiots (not the leaders who propagate CRT) are drawn to it. It's easy for leaders to recruit overly religious people who have no religion or deep spirituality. For these types of people, identity politics is their new religion.

I grew up within several strains of Christian fundamentalism, especially Evangelicalism, until I solidified as an agnostic in my early 20s and pretty much stepped away from that world. The funny thing is, looking back after a decade, I had more intellectual freedom, experienced more ideological diversity and rational debate (with pastors and congregants alike, even on the hot-button issue of Creationism), and enjoyed far deeper friendships than do I within my completely secular circle today -- where walking on eggshells and self-censoring has become a literal way of life, and just to preserve largely superficial and mechanical relationships. Now, in my super-blue suburb, I almost don't remember what it's like to be among people who can be themselves and strongly, even heatedly, disagree with each other, but still genuinely respect and value each other overall. The older I get, and the more I mature in my agnosticism, the more I think Jordan Peterson is right. Religious mythology really does serve some vital purposes for the human psyche and society as a whole -- and until we discover something inarguably better to replace it with, we might want to be careful about tearing it all away.

Here's a model Statement of Dissent for anyone who does not want to participate in one of these corporate struggle sessions. Open access: DISSENTING STATEMENT ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION I offer this Statement of Dissent because I have been asked to participate in or express some level of support for the doctrine commonly known as “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” I strongly object to the political paradigms that under-gird the idea of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the following reasons: 1. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is the ideological offspring of Critical Race Theory; 2. Critical Race Theory is a collectivist ideology based in Marxism that uses various “victimhood” and “oppressor” identities as a vehicle for achieving power and the attainment of certain collectivist goals; 3. Racial equality is not the primary goal of “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion;” Rather, its primary goals involve the radical restructuring of all levels of society around new hierarchies in which the state is all powerful and exists to redistribute goods, money, housing, jobs, education, access, personal outcomes, even justice itself, based on ever-shifting “victimhood identities,” rather than individual effort, agency or merit; 4. American First Principles like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equality before the law and property rights, as well as the core principle that such rights pre-exist the state, are incompatible with the doctrines of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; 5. I believe that ultimate moral worth rests in the individual, and the proper role of government lies in protecting and securing the rights of Individuals. Because Diversity, Equity and Inclusion subordinates the rights of individuals to its larger collectivist goals and reduces individuals to their group identity, it is inherently oppressive and totalitarian; 6. The oppressive, totalitarian aspects of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are amply displayed in its hostility to freedom of speech, religion and the nuclear family; its fixation on intellectual conformity, its subordination of rational inquiry to ideology, its lack of humor, its lack of forgiveness and its vindictiveness toward those who depart from its orthodoxies. For these reasons, I firmly reject the concept of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and I will not participate in, nor adopt any of its practices, assumptions or goals. Sincerely, ____________________________

Bernd P it’s worthwhile bearing in mind that the most aggressive and regressive politics of the last 250 years has been European. Entirely. The Americans established freedom and the pursuit of independent rights were the best way at the end of the 1800s (patents and copyrights) right when Marx’s train was gaining steam. This led to communism and Russia and China and the fascist collectivism of Italy and Germany. America was about one, Europe was about many. This would’ve been ok except the ruling class of Europe has sold out their working class with huge “refugee” intakes so the groups aren’t being drawn in ways that are socially cohesive... so the negative collectivism is being reinforced by bad leadership. The individual is ignored and the collective of EU citizens is suffering... welcome to Russia, Germany, France, at various points in 250 years of history. We looked at the American project and the European project. The EU is being run by self appointed kings all over again and they are less equipped and invested than kings who had their head on a spike if they didn’t protect their kingdom. They just resign and sit on boards of directors. We don’t need perfection in politics. We need skin in the game and treating yourself as truly sovereign is a great starting point.

Bernd P well, I appreciate the spirit of your post but. No, Norwegian model isn’t perfect. Neither is the Swedish or Danish when you factor in cost of living. Also, our Danish, Norwegian and Swedish Americans out earn just about every other group by 20-30%. If we had a nation of them, we wouldn’t have some economic problems. Regardless, I do agree with a good portion of what you said. Our enemies are here, and not abroad. Though, I didn’t say anything to make you think otherwise

They're dangerous because they're hypocrites who contradict themselves at every turn. They talk about openess and being able to share your pain, but when someone like Liam Nelson talked about his anger after his friend got raped and the rage he felt so that other people could learn from his mistakes, social justice warriors wanted to shut him down and cancel him, the lesson there being that you should never publicly open up about your past mistakes and you should keep everything to yourself. The radical left also talk about justice, how the system has failed and that there are too many people jailed in the U.S. and that there should be justice reform. Yet when the police are filmed killing someone, there is no dialogue, no discussion about what led up to it and no investigation first before judgement, there's only pure anger and rioting and burning shit to the ground because they don't want to wait for the facts first, they only want to declare and instant verdict of guilty. I do believe there are problems with the justice system, and I'd personally look into rolling back qualified immunity for police officers, however, each case is different, and not every killing is unlawful.

Another serious problem with the humanities is that it is simply, and has not been for many years, possibly decades, not been getting the "best and brightest". There are whole departments made up of what have been termed "Mid-Wits". All this 'middle-brow' and incremental research rather than insight. Incidentally, younger people tend to believe this shit because 'its easier, it's gratifying' - the "KZbin diet of academia". If you want to know more about this pop over to the "Jolly Heretic".

There has been (ironically) a lot of structural opposition to deny experienced workers access to many jobs without a degree. I want my brain surgeon to have his master’s but you don’t need a degree for the majority of jobs - it used to be a proxy for an iq test but given how easy it is to get a degree, it’s just delaying your entrance to the work force - a privilege of the wealthy. Ironically enough??

@@Xplora213 Kinda what I meant - in fact there are tons of people who have experience and that is often far more valuable than an academic qualification e.g. most trades and the mechanic who fixes your car (though they are trying to institutionalise that more and more to wring more dollars out of apprentices). However, what I was referring directly to is that students and graduates of say, Education, are on average 20 IQ points lower than graduates of the STEM subjects. This disparity extends across the genders i.e. smarter girls usually take STEM (I include medicine in STEM) than take humanities. As well, research has been undertaken on the "quality" of the research papers and, as James Lindsay points out, it is found VERY wanting... not hard to guess why when the people writing and reviewing the papers are 'less accomplished' lol

@@sabelotoda2 , Norway has oil and have mismanaged their finances for years, although not as badly as Sweden, who built up it's value generating industries in the late 18- early 1900 when they were as close to being free from economic interventionism such as regulation and subsidies as anyone has ever been this side of the last 200 years, and of course with the massive exports of raw materials following WW2, they have since been hollowing out their economy and are currently dropping like a stone, from once being at the very top of the list of prosperous nations complaining that a 2% tax was a heinous overreach, to a hardboiled frog not even bothering to fight anymore while 50-75% of their generated value are being pissed away by the modern aristocracy, aka larping politicians completely severed from any semblance of sanity, sense or reality, -to fighting for the second to last place among the poorest of the European nations, whilst making all the efforts to keep appearances up. Finland has thus far been getting by quite well by not playing politics too much, but for the last two decades they've for some idiotic reason let their youth be inspired by their neighbours folly, resulting in more and more stupidity, i predict they'll go to hell as well if they don't drop this lunacy soon enough. Denmark has also managed to thread steadily by having a healthy dose of opposition towards the would be lunatics that want to ru(i)n other peoples lives. Iceland's would be government simply lacks the inertia to be able to completely ruin the economy their citizens have built, but given the way things have been going, just give them time and I'm sure they'll manage. In short, I'm quite familiar with the state of affairs in the Scandinavian countries.
