That hinge is what makes the step-back so dangerous because the defender is already forced back a step, and then when the baller handler pulls a step-back the defender has even more ground to recover from.

Upright always felt weird to me while dribbling. But once you get that comfort zone it becomes deadly. Just like a rhythm type of movement while you're dribbling.

Some of the shiftiest players lean forward while dribbling because 1. it loads your glutes and hamstring so you can explode better - puts center of mass in front as well 2. ball protection (ball located in the back of the body) Note: this is not the only way to go, some guards like Jimmy Butler plays upright and it works, so it really depends on you Thanks coach!

Can't find any other videos like this one. Great job! This is a must do on offense. Easier to get through someone(especially those that body you), because when you attack one side, they have to open up because you are already low and they can't react quick enough...

It also helps you project the force you´re producing to be horizontal. All great acceleration happens with a low center of mass and the torso/shins projecting horizontally.

Do you think that when you're straight up, its harder for the defender to stop the jump shot, and If you're bent over its harder for them to stop the drive? Wouldn't this way make it so that you're always one extra movement ahead of the defender?

I'm literally the worst player in my team, and I think that the best way to improve my game is being an off-ball scorer (like klay thompson or ray allen), and also a great defender. But, I really wish someday being able to do crossovers and finishes like kyrie, jonh wall, jamal murray... what should I do?

@@ByAnyMeansBasketball when I posted it, I wasn’t meaning to disrespect this post, it’s a great video, you guys did a great job. My comment was to the watchers, the youth gotta understand that training is great, but nothing beats just having fun with the game you love, working to improve until you get there, this generations doesn’t even go outside anymore, I earned a full scholarship thru just going outside to the court playing and having fun, never trained, didn’t know how, there was no KZbin, I show my kids your vids, you do great for sure, thanks again.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 Jesus is the only way to eternal life in heaven. So don't trust in your own goodness to save you. Transfer your trust to the savior and ask God to help you turn from your sins and you will receive God's free gift of eternal life. God loves you! Hopefully this inspired you today. God bless.

Believe in JESUS, we are all sinners deserving the wrath of GOD, because we sin against a holy and just and perfect GOD. Therefore we all deserve the punishment hell, but GOD in his rich grace and mercy by which he loved us sent JESUS to die for us on the cross to leave his throne and suffer for us. To be the perfect sacrifice for us because he himself was sinless and perfect. That if we would have a repentant heart and believe in JESUS and place our faith in Him, we will be saved from the eternal punishment which is hell, and be given eternal life. l
