I personally think Spellcrafting should have been a thing instead of classes. The way ESO works is being extremely flexible with how you play, so the fact that you choose to be a Warden, yet built a playstyle where you don't utilize a single class ability is rather absurd to me. Then what's the point of even having a class? Had they introduced Spellcrafting, or a similar system, from the start we could have had 100s of different playstyles and people could have made their own class simply to picking and costumizing their abilities. I really think this would have fit the ESO format so much better.

This is the same logic zenimax has tried to apply with regard to ‘hybridisation’, but it simply doesn’t work. Everyone will flock around the same meta and the game would be 1000% more stale than it currently is, as there wouldn’t even be a diversity of classes anymore. The game was better and more diverse with rigid rules around stam or mag builds per class.

@@meganaxelia I mean this MIGHT have been the case at the top end and in pvp for players who care more about optimization than flavor but you can see even within the rigid confines of the game as it existed and exists now there are alot of people completely willing to abandon power to adhere to a character theme. Even then, falling into the trap of one build per role is easily avoided by giving different ability elements interactions. For example, maybe sorcery/brutality is only obtained through lightning staff and two handed skill lines but applied in an AoE, resolve is from shield and frost staff, armor reduction is a debuff stacked by fire magic and spells of a similar element have interactions where they want to be used together so it's harder for one person to provide all of the buffs and debuffs themselves while being effective within their chosen element/weapon of preference so that you need your mages to be running different elements and your melee to be using different weapon types and styles.

Spellcrafting 1. It will be hidden behind a paywall, they call that "BUY THE DLC". See Antiquities. 2. It will be restricted to only being used in whatever new Arena/Dungeon/Instanced content they are developing for the new zone. That automatically balances the power cause you won't be able to use crafted spells outside of the Shivering Isles, or whatever Arena they create 3. It will NOT use Enchanting runes that we have 10000 each of sitting around. It will use some brand new parchment and ink system that ONLY drops from the new DLC zone.

I appreciate your time for making a video and while you are entitled to your opinion. Have you gone through morrowind and oblivion? Have you tried the spellcrafting podium there? It was game-changing in one of the greatest ways possible. How could getting almost absolute freedom, Be a bad thing in any way. With spell crafting, I was able to take a grand soul gem in morrowind, the highest quality ring and fill the empty gem with the soul of a golden saint (strongest soul available).. Then apply one point of float to my ring. Essentially giving me a slow moving. Forever flying ring the second. You'll equip it. You're floating you put a piece of slow fall gear on or equip this spell to your hot bar and you never fall to your death. It was one of the few ways to get around your own home. If you had a Telvani Mushroom that you grown yourself, there was no staircase to get to the top floors you had to super jump or fly. This isn't something new. It's something old which has been missing and I for one have been aching for his return to bring this game back to its roots of full freedom of choices. My greatest hope since morrowind was for them to bring back the ability in any form to fly indefinitely. But for balance, they need a restriction on combat well airborne. Too many ways to abuse it and cheat in PVP. But to just explore the landscape with a birds eye view and really appreciate everything that went into this game and genre you need to see the big picture from the sky as well as on ground view... also spellcrafting means you (in the past) make spells that act on touch as well as projectiles with all 3 elements explode on impact with a detonation radius of 50ft... then cast a spell that does multiple buffs such as fortify regen, barrier, and iron skin all in one spell... free up your skill bar for more options... if this is done right it will do nothing but improve the game. I've felt this game has put shackles on players without it and for those who never experienced spellcraftung from previous games you don't even know the chains are there or what you are missing.... the majority of the fan base has been waiting a very long time for this!!!!! THANK YOU BETHESDA... FINALLY

Reused events .. what ? They always had pretty much same pool of events for people. I think we had enough of trials and dungeons. PVP haven't been focus in almost as long as game exists already so that's old thing. What ESO should need is getting ZOS to finally understand appeal of mass group overland content, because last time they managed to pull something fun was with Havocrels in Deadlands and they did it by complete accident.

I feel like they’d rework cyrodiil before they’d add spell crafting. With us most likely going to skingrad they are probably going to be ending the war soon and instead of open world pvp they will add the arena and maybe introduce a free for all pvp in a daedric realm. I’m sure they are aware of the amount of problems spell crafting would introduce just in exploits and balancing. I feel like spell crafting isn’t going to be in the game but I’ve been wrong before.

The trash class system needs reworked from tbe ground up. All classes are magicians with special spells already. Spellcradting doesnt fit. How they made an elder scrolls game without at least progression through the schools of magicka etc is ridiculous. Having the same abilities for stam and mag is so cheap and dumb. Oh battle spirit has issues for sure. Most players dont know this and i dont plan to fully share but arcanist is the only class in the game that has a class toolkit that allows you to fully ignore battle spirit for a few seconds and hit other players for non battle spirit damage with the right combination. Luckily i haven’t seen anyone on xbox na do it other than me.

I feel like the better option for ESO is to have some sort of SPELL EDITING? Basically not a full spellcaft system but instead a system that lets you change the status type of your skills maybe have a poison whip on DK finally or a Templar with Fire puncturing sweep? MMO'S exist as games as a live service kinda thing. They're meant to be maintained and constantly updated. If there is no updates, the game stagnates and majority of play base just quits because of lack of content. MMO's depend on active player count to survive, without it, there's no reason to keep maintaining servers and service. Game shuts down. Doesn't matter what MMO it is.

I think it’s sketchy since PvP updates are so minimal. I definitely think it’ll be like the antiquity system where it’s going to feel needed to succeed. That’s what it has felt like for most dlc things that were added that could be used in pvp. It just comes downs to, are you willing to play eso knowing there won’t be the changes you’re asking for, and most people including myself are. It’s Elder Scrolls as an MMO, not easy to leave.

Well, as far as all the Nightblade Hoarcrux, is perfectly correct as far as the invisible invincibility and the near cheatlike super powers, is just fire, nightblade and vampire are my most favorite, i have recently created my remake of Zaorir the Undead Arbalest from the Bandaari nightblade from the Abode of Ignominy, and i will have a profile video up on him soon to you can see, and a new DK and 2 more nightblades as well, well anyways, the only exception is templar, the best class in the game, as far as healing, sustain, tanking, and DPS, the nightblade doesnt even come close, the vampire yes definantly only tops templar, but nightblade not in healing and DPS by a long shot, masters of the Aedric spear are deadly! And i mean deadly, vorpal, sayonara opponents and enemies and so on. But yes, theirs no way to decide, you go nightblade for omnipotence, or templar for straight up hood brawlin MF. Hey this was a great video buddy, had a great time watching🙂.

There is another thing that breaks ESO, the Crown Store and all them gigachads ruining the economy of the game. I understand that some ppl play the game to do trading and housing but its getting ridiculous and painful to see ppl inferior than me ( I'm not the best ESO player btw ) to have EVERY ITEM in the store and all the cool stuff just because you have a credit card with unlimited funds. So spellcrafting probably will be a breath of fresh air but still, nobody will compare or be able to compete with pay2win fellows.

Housing needs MAJOR QoL changes. Even with credit card you aren't going nowhere close with housing. The cost of furniture plans is absurd thanks to guilds and ZOS negligance over whole housing drop rates. Materials are expensive, style mats are chore to get, plans are ridiculously low to drop .. Housing needs MAJOR QoL changes. Also word 'inferior' sounds wrong. If you mean 'they don't do same content as me' just say that. I am not inferior to you because I dislike dungeons and I did trials just if someone asked me to help.

They promised they would fix the pvp servers and didn't, one of the biggest lies they orchestrated.. They allow hundreds of farming bots to dictate the eso economy instead of the players. And yes the paywall is annoying. I love playing ESO but there's definetly less players.. And the more false promises and poor implementation and pay walls they make the more people leave.
