What a freak! I can’t believe, in Korea of all places, the police see him as a victim; since he was sexually harrassing women during this time, he should have been arrested a long time ago. In the very least, he should be committed to a mental institution for treatment. What an absolute degenerate.

Johnny S. must be stopped. He’s incredibly disrespectful. His family came to America got their citizenship for him to have a better life. Somali father and an Ethiopian mother raised him & his siblings with traditional values. Only to return the favor by being ungrateful. I can see why he’s not on speaking terms with his family. They don’t play that mess. He is well known many places in the world, including America & hated as a result. The moments he stepped foot in Korea people knew who he was, and they were not playing with his BS. No matter where you going in the world, respect the law. One of his biggest role models is Logan Paul so I’m not surprised he pulled this stunt. Just reminds me of the suicide Forest incident to this day. Logan can’t go to Japan as a result. For anyone who doesn’t know who Logan Paul is, he’s a foreigner who also traveled around the world and used to pull pranks/ disrespectful stunts. However, he stopped after he received massive backlash over its stunt pulled in Japan.

His father is not Somali. He has nothing to do with the Somali people. His real name is Ramsey and he is Omoro, yemeni and Habesha. He chose the name Johnny Somali to make sure that people think of Somali people when they see his antics online.
@mskagome118Ай бұрын
@rai2423 Thank you so much. I did not know in previous videos Ramsey said something completely different about his family background before his channel got removed. Thank you so much for the info and correction. He needs to be stopped. I hope Korea makes an example out of him.

I do not understand the mindset of people like this, who engage in blatantly Anti-Social Behaviour (or any form of anti-social behaviour, really). While each individual act may not, technically, be illegal, they are most definitely morally reprehensible; and, when taken together, form a pattern of behaviour that should never be allowed - let alone encouraged (what the heck are his viewers/followers thinking?). The behaviour towards woman is clearly sexual harassment - a charge surely easier to prosecute, because he kindly provided his own video evidence (dumbass). I hope South Korea throw the book at him. And it would be good if other countries he has done this sort of thing at, revisit some of his videos, and find something to press charges on. I do not know Korean laws, but in many countries he could be charged with Public Nuisance. while this usually just carries a fine, being convicted of a crime could restrict his ability to enter that country, and others as well. The blatant disrespect he showed to the statues of the Comfort Woman, and to society - no, to Humanity - as a whole, is mindboggling. It just makes me despair for the path that humanity is taking. Though I am glad to see so much condemnation of his actions.

Why our American constitution is the problem? As an American, I can affirm that the U.S. Constitution is fundamental to understanding why Americans behave in certain ways, both domestically and abroad. For instance, standing outside a restaurant and pointing a camera at the establishment and the patrons who come and go is protected as a constitutional right. When restaurant managers report such actions to the police, they are often informed that there is no legal recourse. This holds true for public areas, including police stations, courthouses, and other public venues. This is where issues arise. While it is entirely legal to film in public spaces, the general public often reacts with anger and frustration towards those who exercise this right. Many feel that their privacy is being invaded. In America, societal behavior is predominantly governed by laws and constitutional rights rather than social norms, traditions, or etiquettes. In contrast, in regions such as Korea and the Arab world, where I originally come from, norms and traditions form the core of societal structure. For example, a man-let’s say “Johnny the Ethiopian, not the Somali”-would never dare to approach women on the streets of Amman or Kuwait with inappropriate remarks without facing severe consequences. One might view such reactions as harsh or even savage, but these practices have preserved the social fabric for thousands of years. Those who act disrespectfully often face immediate repercussions. If such behavior reaches the courts and witnesses testify, the offender is likely to face imprisonment. Recently, Italy has implemented new regulations specifically targeting American tourists. The reason? Americans often disregard local customs and etiquettes, and Italians have grown tired of it. The situation is similar in France. Americans are perceived as brash and self-entitled, with a sense of superiority that has become a persistent issue for many countries. When individuals like Ramsey Khalid Ismael, known as Johnny Somali, visit countries such as Japan or Korea, where societal norms and customs are integral to daily life, they stand out-and not in a positive way. I agree with the KZbinr who mentioned that Koreans are unsure of how to respond to actions that, while not illegal, violate their cultural customs and traditions. This is why some Korean streamers reacted the way they did. While Koreans may be uncomfortable seeing their fellow citizens take matters into their own hands, there is little sympathy for the “Johnnys” of the world who travel vast distances only to disrupt and destabilize local life.

Jeez... This guy is a nuisance. That's all. Like this is objectively not funny. He's the ultimate gaslighter and will apparently stop at nothing to gaslight people. Desecrating the memory of all these women by doing that to the statues - i'm not even willing to describe more - is shameful. I'm looking for a word worse than shameful but I can't find it. 'Shameful' doesn't seem strong enough. I'm glad he got arrested. Also, I know this dance crew in Hongdae, they're absolutely lovely. I hope they were able to get rid of him with minimal damage.

I’m not sure that little Ramsey is a narcissist…. My reason for that is that narcissists are very concerned with their public image. They build a false facade for themselves, often getting people to believe that they are someone to look up to, and admire. In fact, unless you have a working knowledge of narcissism, you usually won’t recognize that someone is a narcissist unless you have dealt with narcissistic abuse from them. Narcissists don’t like for people to think poorly of them. My father is narcissistic, and so is my ex husband.

People like that are incredibly disappointing. How can someone travel to another country and take advantage of their hospitality? A ten-year prison sentence should teach him a lesson about respecting other people's space. However, as you mentioned, he will probably plead that he wasn't taking his medication, which led to his behaviour. Thankfully, they found some incriminating evidence. While violence is not encouraged, protecting your personal space is a fundamental human right.
