Why Studying the History of Science Matters

I haven't watched the video yet, but the title caught my eye. I've been saying this for a few years now. History is a slept on aspect in understanding scientific concepts and science in general. It contextualizes and provides the motivation for the creation of an idea, understanding, or concept. E: Watched the video. It sounded like you guys were hitting on another use for history which is the avoidance of reinventing the wheel.
