Based on your observation even those customers who are lazy and look for convenience before major price hike by joint corporate meetings by Ola Uber or zomato swiggy, that market will still be a hit in highly populated countries like Asia and india

I decreased my online deliveries and if I have plan to eat out or get it to home, I will go to resto order it and come back in 20 or 25mins alot of money saved. Recently in few of my orders they charged me 85% of total order value as delivery charge.125order value 115 delivery charge.

Just FYI, in the last financial year, If Blinkit is removed from Zomato, Zomato is very much profitable. Blinkit is a new business and Zomato is burning a lot. Kuch saal m ye bhi profitable ho jayega. Share prices of Zomato has rise frim 60s to 85 now just after financial results were declared

Just an Update. As I said Jaldi hi ho jayega 2 months ago. As per the last financial report that Zomato shared Zomato is now profitable (although the amount is too small as compared to the business). Profitable for how long? Their business model isn't sustainable, no one wants to order from zomato because of how expensive it is, and anyone can replicate it. They bring nothing unique to the table.

Discount on items is not beared by Zomato or Swiggy. It is the restaurant that pays for it. I have 6 outlets registered on both zomato and swiggy and before registering them, I used to think the same that Swiggy and Zomato pays for the discount

It gives discount to some restaurants which are very famous and have capacity to supply faster .discounts of 50-60%, so for customer it is less price compared to take away or dining at that restaurant. And also chains like KFC, Mc Donald's swiggy, zomato gives discounts

They like jackals airtel, idea of 2015. Always in loss despite selling data @275/gb . Jio @u#ked them up. Showing loss is just another way to earn. & yes we know they take good margin for deliveries.

The food industry needs to work on subscription charges, minimum value order, time on delivery instant discount offer, combo offer value start 1500 for family.... It will take time but every food company thinks of this style.. food is also served as we want. So change the perspective of the people.

A solution which might be useful is that they partner with food industries like kfc and Domino's and open online exclusive stores(cloud kitchens) in those areas where these don't exist like tier-2 cities

The restaurants are packing less quantity in Zomato and Swiggy Orders as they give a discount/commission to these food apps so they reduce the quantity to maintain profits. If you can go to nearby restaurant for packing don’t go for these Online Apps as you will end up being cheated in one way or other.

Food delivery won't shut down completely. If swiggy fails zomato will capture the whole market and vic-versa, so monopoly will exit as a market can't be empty

Zomato takes 36% of the price you pay on their menu. In addition to that, restaurants are forced to spend money on promotions so their restaurant is visible. Promo codes and discounts are also their while ordering. Zomato is killing restaurants.

Every restaurant I see the price on Zomato is twice higher than what is there on the offline menu card, or the quantity is much lesser because the Zomato charges a hefty amount of commission from the restaurant, plus you have to pay additional delivery charges. ever since i wouldn't order on Zomato or swiggy unless it's the last option left.

I think the cost cutting and out lets are more important so the petrol prices could be cut down by battery scooty as seen in shark tank and the out lets should be more increasing the quality not big restaurants but small near by restaurants as per the customers

The structures of City and Society have huge impact. Meituan operates mainly in Metro's. China is aging and Singles. When u are alone, you dont cook. Your order and as China ages more Meituan will also go down. the real competition for all these companies is growing free time of people, and awareness to eat fresh at home. Grocery delivery might survive. But there again, as AI makes us more free, we will socialize more in real and rather visit a Baniya shop nearby. All in all cloud kitchens are under dark clouds and these aggregators are exaggerated.

Colud kitchen never become profitable because here big companies competition is with house wife's who are doing tiffen services. She is only focus on their 1km radius and they are in thousands in numbers. Their customer is repeatable

Best idea.. Every restaurant appoint one delivery manager.. Who directly cordinate with customer and monthly salary delivery boys.. Same person do multiple order delivery like pizza hut, domino..

There is one solution here Ager yahi company apna hi restaurant(not Cloud kitchen)kholte hai or customer wahi food serve karna start karde Or sath online bhi delivered shuru karte hai or ek apna franchise model lunch karte sath me us land ko purchase karke usi franchise owner ko rent per dete hai like McDonald's to shayd yeh kam kar jaye or usi land ko bank me rakh kar loan se apne loss me ja rahe share ko kharid le to shayd woh company bahut uper pahuch jayegi

I don't understand, zomato or swiggy in a order takes money from customers+hefty delivery charges, restaurant commissions+ advertisement(optional). So they're earning from both sides. Why still they're not profitable. Rather loses are increasing! Though they're PAT profitable now.

Ek apko ek restaurant ki kahani sunata hun , Mai jaha rahta hun vaha ek 10km door ek restaurant hai uske yaha jake lene pr ek pizza 189 , ek veg burger 89 or french fries 80 , total 358 ka bill ata hai , Vahi Mai Zomato se order karta hun to pizza 320 , veg burger 169 , french fries 149 total 638rs plus 40 delivery charge = 678 jata hai Ab Maine us restaurant vale se hi baat Karli hai ,ab vo restaurant vale rate pr hi food delivery kar deta hai or delivery ka mai 50 RS extra pay kar deta hun Ab vo bhi khush hai Mai bhi 😂😂😂

I m Restaurent owner swiggy and Zomato spoil my business For door customers i gave thali for 100/- on swiggy and zomato i give 100/- but swiggy charge 30% commissions and Zomato charge 28% and they dont pay us on daily bases but weekly and if we have to increase prices we looses our customers.😢

Most of the local eateries have started their own delivery services and they deliver food in a 2-3 kilometer radius from where they are located. they don't have the fancy packaging but they offer the value for money. This was also being done before these apps were even around.
