I live here in Dallas, for 29 years, no one says this is the best place, it WAS for a year it won an award but their "being open only 2 days a week"-thing kills their popularity. And if you DO end up going one of those days, be prepared to wait and spend more money than the place across the street. It's more of an experience than a place you go often. I've had barbecue in pretty much every region of Texas in my 47 years & I'll tell y'all what - most of the pitmasters here nail the meats but honestly I think that sometimes the sides taste like something they make as an afterthought. But the greats get EVERYTHING right. For example Myers in Elgin have a potato salad that's honestly (almost) worth the drive from here in Corpus Christi!

I was vegetarian most of my life until I went to Texas for my undergrads. My 4th favorite BBQ place in Texas after Franklins (Austin), La Barbecue(Austin), and The Pit Room (Houston). The brisket and beef ribs are amazing. I hope they get a bigger place so they can remain open during the weekends as well.
