The Oilers: Man if only we had wingers to play with McDavid Also the Oilers: Traded Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle SMH

What sucks most about Strome being dealt away from Edmonton was the fact that it was the first in 3 “I have to save my job” trades be Chiarelli. The other two? Caggiula for BRANDON MANNING and acquiring Petrovic. Strome really never got a fair shake in Edmonton, and the fans are to blame as much as management is. Many of them were calling for Eberle to be traded after the playoffs and they continue to do it. As well, I gotta really feel for Athanasiou. He may not have gotten a point vs Chicago, but he was one of 3-4 guys who actually bothered to show up and compete. He just couldn’t bury one.

Response: Phil Kessel trade. Just reviewing it too: the trade of both Lucic and Hamilton almost simultaneous at junior draft for: C Miller, M Jones, 13th overall, 15th overall and 2 second rounders. it wasn't the trade of Hamilton, its what GM got for the 15th by the way Barzal played in the WHL and Calgary's pick was 15th. It could have been so much better. Eberle trade was bad, but it was a 6 mil line: Lucic, Nugent Hopkins, Eberle. Wasn't that right before McDavid's and Draisaitl's payraise? if i'm way off base don't hesitate.
