Eric,I had a demo at my local store, this thing really wowed me, it's the most amazing piece of tech I ever try in my life yet, this is the most exciting thing apple ever released yet, it's like you have the IPhone, Mac, IPad, AirPod, apple TV and more in one piece of tech, it might not be for the mass public yet, it's still not perfect, it's a first generation product, it might feel weird to use in public but if you really into tech, love apple products and don't mind dumping thousands of dollars on it, trust me you will love it. Will definitely get one myself, this is truly the feature.

You’re very good at this and have a great demeanor. The cadence of the content is engaging. Although a professional user of Apples ecosystem, videos like this still intrigue me. Thank you 😊

Thank you very much for this video. Since this product was released in the US, I've been watching quite a few videos about the Apple Vision Pro. And this video has allowed me to learn more about this product. Thank you for your work, and I encourage you to keep going. Your editing is incredible.

Hey Eric Can you make a video on Beginner Cinematographer Gear? I know you always say it doesn’t matter what you start with but If your ready to take that next step what would you recommend? Also is the Cinematic Shift ever returning? I only Just recently started making videos and trying to turn them into cinematic’s for Clients and I have some idea what im doing but im Basically starting from Step 1. Just an Iphone and a Dream.

Just watched your take on the Apple Vision Pro, and you've nailed the excitement and skepticism perfectly! It's like holding the future in our hands but wondering how to unlock its full potential. Can't wait to see where this tech goes, especially if it gets lighter and more app-filled. Here's to hoping we're stepping into a sci-fi world sooner rather than later!

The minute 17:20 approx, it sounds like a description of the Quest Pro..., I hope someone designs a rigid strap for the device with those characteristics, it sounds like a dream :')
@EricThayne11 ай бұрын
Some people are already making mods to do exactly that. The only thing I don't love about that is it makes the headset even bigger/bulkier. But it will be time before it gets into a smaller form factor

Thanks a bunch for this video. Is there any use case you could see yourself using this when you’re NOT sitting? I’ve been watching a ton of reviews and it looks SO COOL but from a software/input perspective, it seems to me like the primary use case is for work but not while moving. It seems to me like it’s kinda the most imaginative version of Apples Thunderbolt Display. I like your experiment about what it could be with less components, but I wonder what a lighter headset would allow if it’s not already enabling you to do more things that move your body.
@EricThayne11 ай бұрын
It’s definitely not for walking around outside, for example. But setting up a workspace in your room and working standing up is very viable (unless you need a physical keyboard for typing)

Unless Apple can make the windows following you as you move, like on airplane mode, but much better. Cuz currently even airplane mode can still have issue when airplane move. So to me, it seems like Apple don’t want you to use it on the go, unless the environment is safe to use it.

I want Apple glasses. A Meta/Ray-Ban style of Apple glasses would be killer for me. Kinda like an iPod Shuffle for Vision Pro? Apple wanted to make a spatial computer, not glasses. Even in 10 years, there's no way current AVP technology fits into a thick pair of glasses. Maybe in 20-30 years? I could see Apple creating an eye tracking input device that is just a "mouse" for your eyes to use with your Mac, etc.

Apple Vision Pro: Cool tech, but... 🤯💸 This thing is straight out of sci-fi, but that price tag is rough! And hand gestures for everything? Feels like I'd look like a conductor gone mad. Still, gotta give props for pushing the boundaries. Curious to see if it actually takes off or ends up another expensive Apple experiment. 🤔

Not true, quest pro never looked like it. The video you see online is just CGI render. Not actual prototype or anything.

2:10 700% more expensive than Quest 3 but only about 20% better overall do to today’s technology limitations, 1st gen Apple Vision Pro is a public beta (cash to blow) & developer device to further the technology & apps for next the generations of hardware that will have better FOV be lighter smaller more functional & cheaper for mass adoption, waiting to see where this tech along with AI goes in next 3-5yrs
@EricThayne11 ай бұрын
True. This product won’t hit mass adoption for a few generations at least. But personally I’d call it much more than 20% better than the quest.
@JamesGowan11 ай бұрын
@CDaubz - don’t where you get the 20% number. I’ve watched a couple dozen videos and they all say that the AVP is waaaayyyy better than any other VR headset. If you have a Quest3 and love it, great. But putting your head in the sand and denying how great the AVP is when you’ve never even tried one,… just silly.
@c.daubz.538611 ай бұрын
@@JamesGowan sorry for the truth but it is, 20% better might be a little off but it stresses the point, I’m actually an apple fan with most of there products over last 15 plus years from iphone pro to ipad pro to HomePod to macbook to apple tv & air pods pro but I definitely don’t have my head in the sand for meta quest or any other device just not an apple sheep, I can say it is the best VR screen headset available but that doesn’t mean it is a good mass market product or anywhere near worth the $4000 cost of entry for majority of people, we have few years to go, but Apple in the game will definitely push the technology forward

Making a VR headset with material that are too heavy to enjoy the device the device for what it's made for it not "Apple doing everything right" it's actually the complete opposite and proof that they really didn't know what they're doing. Nothing wrong with using plastic if it reduces weight and allows space for more features and lower cost. Apple didn't even put a USB-C port on a $4,000 device and don't get me started on the small hard drive size on the entry model, 256gb in 2024... really??! 🤦🏾♂️
@Lucifer-fj7mg11 ай бұрын
It is obvious that Apple know this isn’t for regular people. They planned to build a cheaper and lighter version at the end of next year. They are trying to make this device as good looking as possible to the audience for first impression. I think Apple knows very well how to get peoples attention. There’s a reason why it’s called “Pro”.
@MicMaine11 ай бұрын
@Lucifer-fj7mg even the Pros/devs are looking at Apple with a side eye. If it's really for devs, then why are they selling the USB-C port for an additional $300? And when people say that the headset hurts after 45 mins and they show blisters on their nose then 1st impressions are bad.
@RunForPeace-hk1cu11 ай бұрын
Why do you need usbc ports sticking out of a headset? 😂
@MicMaine11 ай бұрын
@RunForPeace-hk1cu the USB-C ports are not "sticking out" on the Quest 3 but for one reason that AVP owners were finding an error message on some device that required to connect to a computer to fix or take it to the Apple store. Now, imagine you just spent 5k on device that you can't use because you need to drive 45 mins and make an appointment at the store before using again. Also, the USB-C port on the Q3 is very convenient for connecting a battery bank to preserve the internal battery but still having the option to remove if needed. AVP has a cable management nightmare going on
