If GM plans to make the ZR1 200k plus, there should be no reason that they do not replace structural components of the car with carbon fiber and shed some weight. Similar to what they did with the c6 z06 and zr1. If the car weighs 3600 wet with 850hp, should easily be into the 9’s and that’s not even the purpose of the ZR1. It’s a track car.

I think the ZR1 will be a Twin turbo with the electric motor of the E-ray pushing around 1000 hp. You can see ZR1 being tested with a SF-90, so I think it’s going to be a hybrid and they would be no Zora, I might be wrong but that’s my thought

If the C8 ZR1 is twin turbo, a more fair comparison would be a 488 Pista or 911 Turbo/GT2. R35 GTR were heavy, but with its AWD, embarrassed lots of much higher power and priced cars. C8 ZR1 will have to get muct better conatruction materials and fit & finish to be on 720/750 and SVJ level.

Well not even the latest 750s can match a 720s on a roll race! It wasn’t close on Carwow nor has it been in other tests! The latest emission clamp down has clearly affected it. So I wouldn’t worry if the ZR1 can’t match it either…there’s only McLaren who are mass producing carbon tubs which is why they’re considerably lighter than the lambos,Ferrari,Porsche. Mike’s weights were complete rubbish for the Lambo.

In my opinion of the concerns you stated the most valid one is the ECU being locked. That does suck and also limits what you can do with the car not only personally but also content wise. But the speed thing is subjective. The Z06 is faster or as fast as any 750s McLarens and plenty of other significantly more expensive cars but around a track, not in a straight line. And I think the ZR1 will he similar. It will be faster than SOME of the modern supercars but it will be a track monster poised to take on the upcoming GT2RS. If you want straight line speed rocket then you need a Zora.

Thinking you can modify and tune a car better than the factory is stupid I think. All you end up with is a car that is not very drivable most of the time and a bucket of bolts. I know you have to "do things" to cars to make a living on youtube but for regular people I think stock is best. Every time I see a car someone modified it is total junk and that is why they are selling it. Regular people can't afford to buy someone else problem once someone screws it up as well. Do what you got to do to make all your money but complaining about cars 99.99999% of your followers only dream of having is a little silly to me. I don't know if it's twin turbo you should be able to turn the boost up yourself at least with a boost controller in the stock computer should adjust the fuel to get a little bit more out of it cuz you know the factory it's not going to give you all the boost that you can take forward the fuel system can supply so let's say it comes out with 8-10 psi you should probably be able to turn it up to 15-18psi before you start running lean in the computer should be able to self adjust for that so let's say it comes out with 8:50 and you can turn the boost up you're probably looking at like 925 ish
