I'm a Master's Athlete and have been for about 20 years, and in many sports. I had not been swimming in ten years, and this past summer I decided to begin swimming in Open Water, on the St. Lawrence River in Canada. I am 60 yrs old, and have been carnivore for approximately 10 months. Within 9 weeks, swimming three days per week, I swam a 6km, open water event. My goal time to complete the swim was 3-3:15 minutes. I completed the swim in 2h, 22minutes. I have never felt better in my life. I am now swimming indoors and preparing for Master's Provincial and possibly Nationals, scheduled in the spring of 2025. I have never felt better in my life. I only eat beef, butter, eggs and occasionally fish. No alcohol, no caffeine. I believe the clock has been turned back 20 yrs. Oh, and I'm down 63#. I’m a nurse, and I am sickened about how many pills I have to give my patients because they are eating the wrong type of food & the first thing the doctors tell you is that high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer are genetic- no is not, rather, the whole family, is eating the same type of food that are causing these illnesses, so it becomes a family problem. My dad has all 3, and i have none, the type of food I eat is much different than his. I believe many conditions and illnesses can be helped by carnivor. For me, I use it as a tool to lose weight. I do intend to eat carbs after I lose the weight, but when I eat carbs, I'll be aware of what I'm eating...I'll pick carefully. If I was never going to die, I guess I'd be totally carnivor... But since I do not have any real medical problems, I feel I have the options. BUT, if I ever get a diagnosis for anything, it's carnivore and fasting.

Why can you go there and eat the local cuisine in excess and lose weight? 1 - when vacationing/traveling you are outside more getting the full spectrum of light that triggers specific mechanisms within the body as the light cycles goes throughout the day. 2 you are eating food that has been grown in that specific area.

@MRSMakeupBagАй бұрын
@@berniewhitehouse2105 Main Food: beef, chicken, and other pork on the odd occasion. Also, the fat from said beef, chicken, pork. On occasion: Prawns, sardines, pork belly, Eggs, bacon, oysters very infrequently Snacks and sides (also on occasion): Cheese and other dairy, pork rinds, Pepperoni (I do eat a fair amount of pepperoni) no alcohol, no sugar, no processed foods. I drink a lot of club soda (love me some carbonated water), & I am a good sleeper I don't do a ton of exercising but I do try to go for a nice walk daily and if I can't get to that I'm definitely doing housework

I tried to share this information with someone whose husband has Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, at the same time, and the old fear that he can't have protein because he has kidney problems, keeps her from trying to change his diet and it's really sad that he continues to digress and she feels like she doesn't have answers. She's just not open to hearing any answers from me, unfortunately. I'm sure different KZbin videos with her and I know she hasn't seen them. Otherwise she'd probably change her mind by now. What's worse is that it's their own doctors that are holding him back from receiving the truth!

64 years old - 4 months carnivore (approx).. I'm at the point in this diet where I need to stop losing weight. I was 103 Kg and am now in the high 70's. I have loose skin as I have Zero fat between my muscles and my skin anymore. I am literally 'cut'.. It's great to see my six pack back, but my skin looks 'gathered' all of a sudden. I've started weight training again in the vain hope of bulking and 'filling my skin' to smooth it out like it was when I was carrying a few kilos more.. Is there a chance that my skin will become more elastic if I keep on with the carnivore diet, or has my past left a 'scar' in the form of 'old man skin syndrome'?

I buy 2 full, bone in, full fat cap no trim, prime ribs sliced at 1"1/2, individually freezer wrapped from my personal local butcher. I know who raises the cattle, I know who slaughters it and I know who butchers it and this is in the metro Detroit suburbs. I am charged a discount due to the amount I purchase and the fact I go there every 2 months. I end up paying between $12 and $16 a pound depending on beef prices. I SAVE so much money eating Ribeye without buying all the other bullshit it's cut my yearly food costs by over $10k.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get ripped? I am 5’6” and 172 lbs. I lift four days a week double split with good amount of volume. I have been doing treadmill for 35 minutes 7 days a week with an incline of 4.5 15 minutes 5.5 10 minutes and 6.0 for the next 10 minutes. I actually don’t feel like the treadmill is doing a thing. I eat about 22-2400 calories with about 50/50 protein to fat. I am trying to get 200 grams of protein to build size. I have been carnivore for 1.6 years and went from 210 to 158 then started lifting and back up to 172. I am not getting ripped like I want to. I see lots of guys including Dr. C in photos and they look great with six packs. What am I doing wrong??
@zxyatiywariii8Ай бұрын
My BF got ripped by doing lifting/weight training. Treadmill is fine for losing weight, but it doesn't build much muscle. There are lots of weight training videos online, try spending that treadmill time on weight lifting instead, that usually helps a lot. People can even make their own weights by using gallon water bottles, canned food, sand bags, etc. (I know, I'm skinny, but I'm a girl and I don't want to be muscular looking) Edit: I know, you're doing lifting already, but swap the treadmill and see?

Being on the diet now for four weeks and just had bloods done and my Doctors says Iron and Ferritin are high therefore when eating a lot of meat how do you keep Iron within nomal range, has anyone had this expierence
@EricBanner5714 күн бұрын
You can donate blood like I do every three months to keep your iron levels down. Higher Ferritin is normal. The question that you need to ask yourself is "How do I feel on Carnivore" If the answer is better, then keep going.

Is Eggs and Beef steak Ribeye/Sirloin enough for the Carnivore diet? That's all I've eaten for the past 7 days, one meal per day so fasting for 20hrs daily as well. My issue is I'm 5"11 always been fit and healthy and have held the same weight since secondary school which is about 11.5 stone so losing weight isn't needed for me but I've noticed I've lost weight this past week if anything I need to gain weight not lose it. I tried carnivore for 2 weeks, lost no weight and got rock hard dry bowels. It took 3 miserable painful weeks of excruciatingly passing golf balls to get rid of all that meat. If I had kept on going, I would have had impacted bowels and nearly died. Forget it.
@victoriaolson8985Ай бұрын
Only if you include fat. It can’t just be protein. A ketogenic diet is high fat - meat-based.
@zxyatiywariii8Ай бұрын
A keto diet is high protein and high fat. The protein doesn't need to be meat, it can also be seafood or even some high-protein low-carb nuts; but yes you're right it needs fat, not just protein. That's how people died of "rabbit starvation" in the past, eating lean meat without enough fat.
