I lost my virginity later than most in life and I have to say it was a big lesson in not holding things on a pedestal. It was so disappointing 😂 Since then I have developed a more healthy relationship with sex but I still can’t see that if I were still a virgin now, how that would make it ok to hate on other people and go on a murderous rampage? In my country, they recently did a study of over 1000 people and 70% of respondents aged 18-30 were virgins. It's not a huge sample size but anecdotally from people I know back home, I would agree with the results EDIT: Country is Malaysia and the study was done by Durex. I know a lot of comments are going to say that it's because religion/oppression but as an agnostic person who was born and raised in Malaysia, I would say that Malaysia is genuinely pretty progressive in some aspects (obviously with vast variation based on how urban or rural an area is + other socioeconomic factors). I live in a suburban equivalent area in one of the states that's considered to be more conservative. Conversations around sex by the younger generation is honestly very like "if it happens, it happens" and the generalized assumption (everywhere except maybe the capital) is most people up to the age of 18-20 are virgins and then it's just a 50-50 lmao

Indian here. Can confirm that for most parts of the nation, if you are not a virgin, you are not preferred for marriage or as a potential date (unless its tinder in cities I guess?). In some places it is so bad that women get hymen reconstruction surgeries to fake "virginity", even if they never had slept with anyone before. If you have slept with someone in the past, it is automatically assumed that you will cheat on your spouse and even possibly have STDs or a love child hidden somewhere. As someone who fell into these communities after a particularly hard time, a lot of men seem to highlight “sex” as the ultimate form of validation and love. As they are insecure and usually have poor social skills; they seek these things out in toxic and dangerous ways. I think they overall just need help and rehabilitation. Help them understand that the world and the entire female sex isn’t out to get them. They authentically think that they are being marginalized by woman and you need to show them that it isn’t the case. Telling them that directly never works; they will just shut down the conversation. I have a brother whose claim is that he's a victim of the women's movement, and that's why he hasn't been able to work for the last 15+ years while he sits, alone, on his computer in my Mom's basement 24/7/365 at 38. When I contacted the local police (Kenosha, Wisconsin) after one of his violent episodes where he inflicted self harm (and threatened to frame his sister for it), they did absolutely nothing to help get my Mom or myself safely away from him. Their response to his self inflicted injuries was that it wasn't a crime, and encouraged me to get as far away from him as possible. Literally, every mass shooting I hold my breath and become frantic until I am certain that it hasn't occured in my own state. If it hasn't happened in my state, it's not him. He's not a matter of If, but a matter of When. There's absolutely no one in this country that gives a hoot about shutting down this kind of violence. He spends his days grooming the young men on 4chan, Discord and reddit, preparing them for violence against women. For the record, my brother has physically injured my mother in his fits of rage with his fists. He has killed several of my pets over the course of my life. My mother is afraid to leave her home without her dog, because she doesn't believe that the dog will still be alive when she returns. And there's literally no one who will either put him on a Watch list for weapons purchasing or protect my mother by getting him out of her home. The interesting thing is: I see both political movements - online feminism/ifeminism (as opposed to all other types of feminism) and the manosphere as being two sides of the same traumatised, jaded coin. Both sides have very unhealthy views towards each other. I don't think the manosphere hates feminism because of the equality that it has brought women necessarily. I think it's more that they feel like women have an ego to them these days that they "dont deserve". They feel that this "ego" leads them to act in very liberated ways. As a result, I see the manosphere feels less able to control they circumstances around them. As women are being encouraged to be sexually liberated and independent girlbosses, the manosphere sees they feel like they can no longer trust women in an intimate relationship and this kills them emotionally. They tend to see society as being turned into a bunch of promiscuous degenerates, who value sex higher than everything, and are willing to forgo all dignity/morals to get it. At the end of the day, the reality is that their lack of trust in women is born from these people not seeking the right traits in a partner. They go for girls who are "hot", rather than going "I'm sexually attracted to that girl, but if I'm going to give my time to her, I need to be sure that she also has strength of character". They've been convinced that hot girl A has "high value" and that purely because of their physical attractiveness, their opinion of the sex appeal of others is given credibility/merit to the point of being a universal fact and their personal opinion holds weight. They don't have the ability to say: hot girl A broke up with/cheated on me because either A) I wasn't a good partner or B) she doesn't have good self-esteem and that she values the validation of others more than a building a relationship with one person. Often they also have this same self esteem problem and so attempt to sleep around with these types of women (and not a suitable woman), for the women's validation. Like attracts like.

Empathy. If theyre a friend, simply listen to them, try to genuinely understand what they are thinking and feeling, whats on their mind; build on the depth of relationship you have with them. Call to the good nature within them. If they are open to it, suggest counselling/psychotherapy with a qualified professional/agency that they click with. Also, recognise that we are in a time of ideological tension in our culture at the moment (left/right, feminine/masculine, progressivism/conservativism). BOTH sides have their dysfunctional ideas. Vice happens to be pretty radically left wing and progressive, they are about as far from the center as many of the right wing groups they criticise. Dont assume just because someone is challenging a left wing/progressive idea or exploring conservative ideas that they are idiologically possessed (you may not be, but worth considering). With the issue of men/male roles in particular, Warren Farrel is worth a read. But yeah, besides that, as a friend, the best thing you can do is genuinely and honestly listen and express your understanding. Thats my experience anyway, hope this helps 👍

The problem always comes back to capitalism. Ruling class promotes capitalistic ideals framed as social justice and they fund both right wing and left wing politics to prevent any major revolution. For the most part they are happy to keep capitalism so long as it serves them (the white race) while all the other races of the world can suffer. It’s this destructive thinking “one man’s dark age is another man’s golden age”. It’s sad because there’s enough resources for everyone but for them, they are happy to keep it all for themselves while others can starve to death. Alt rights of recent are only angry with elites because they feel hard done by their fellow white men in high positions. I guess their just not as patriotic or sentimental about the white race and care only about adding more billions to their criminal amount of wealth. Besides the point, I don’t believe in capitalism nor socialism but something in between. Inequality and differences between people is natrual and part of life and chaos of one sort or other results whenever people artificially try either to aggravate these differences and distinctions or to eliminate them totally. I don’t advocate for complete equality (economically) because some were inherently just meant to have more wealth than others but I do believe it is the duty of the rich to ensure everyone has their basic needs met such as food, housing and no debt and ect. I also believe that interest (usury) is morally wrong and exploits the poor and should be made illegal. Other than that, I’m all for free market. PS: And yes all systems are built upon control and subjugation (as it should be). I am under no illusion that we are completely free and have to be enslaved to something. In fact, it’s the reason inequalities exist in nature, so some can subjegate others (without oppressing one another ofcourse). There’s a far bigger picture that people fail to see.

Maybe there are actually more of them now. The news always reports on oddities. They won't report on car crashes because that's common but plane crashes? Now that's interesting! I mean we know that there aren't more now because we have stats but it is something to think about. Alternatively maybe they got better at hiding the fact that they're serial killers. They kill multiple people but do it in a way that the police won't make a link between the two incidents.

I'll be honest, I'm a progressive and I love women but I'm a guy and life is hard as a 30 year old guy. It's really hard to hear "don't complain, you're a straight white man" every time you share a legitimate frustration. I can't comprehend the mindset of these mgtow types but I think that the far left is only throwing gasoline on the fire by demonizing men constantly. I'm part of the left but we should probably address our own extremism if we expect the far right to do the same. At least we can reach people on our side of the aisle whereas right wing extremists aren't going to be convinced by left rhetoric. I'm not oppressed, but I'm tired of being told that I have no right to be annoyed by seeing "white man" used as an insult on Twitter every day by the same political party that I belong to. I'm surprised that us progressives don't realize that this isn't good.
