question why dont you use a tarp with ya unna instead of unclipping ? see im considering unna or soulo for the good old english weather unna is cheaper and has that space as i like that comfort tho soulo looks more fool proof for a newbee and has that peace of mind looks a lot more stable, frankly id prefer rough weather near the sea camping myself thinking dorset and the jurassic coast and duddle door way still there bloody expensive tents

for myself I have really enjoyed this change. it gets a bit monotonous watching folk walk somewhere (rain or shine) pitch a tent cook a meal get up make coffee and go back. So this has been a breath of fresh air. Thanks Paul, I am glad that is has put a bit of a spring in your step too.

Unna is the holy grail for me too. I am totally in love with it and would trade it for any other tent in the world. I have spent the night in it during hundreds of nights, both in winter as in Spanish hot summers. I have seen some pretty heavy storms in it while camping right on the beach, totally exposed to the elements. For me, it is just perfect.

I am seriously leaning towards pulling the trigger on an Unna, for me I feel it has better ventilation options than the soulo so condensation won't be as previlent. I find unless I aim for going out in terrible weather, the Unna will stand up to most of to conditions I encounter, and I can also find a sheltered spot if it does get too wild. The simplicity of pitching and the internal space is another big plus for me with the Unna. If I do storm chase, I have a Crux X2 storm tent that I can take, saving the need for a shelter with the capability of the Soulo. I am hoping that the Unna will be a good go to tent for me for all but the worst weather meaning I can reduce my collection of tents down to two (not including my rab ridge master twin hooped bivy that I haven't the heart to get rid off because it's just the perfect bivy for me). 0:00

Didn't realise Jo was/is so talented, excellent artwork. This series of yours has been a brilliant idea...... I didn't think much of it at the start to be fair, but after about a week I saw the real value and really got into it. This sector of KZbin does get a bit monotonous, after all, in a nutshell, guy packs bag, guy walks with bag, up hill/mountain, sleeps in tent for the night, walks back. I take my hat off to all of you creators for trying to find variations on the theme to keep it interesting. I'd be proud as punch if I was you Paul, it's been a great series........ Jo too needs thanking. ATB

I really want to thank you for your perspective at 3:30. I’ve been pigeon holed as a creator for The Long Dark gameplay and survival games mostly. Mainly my own doing because early on that was all I played. However, I want some variety now with other games, but the thought of losing a few thousand subs and exponentially more views has pumped the brakes on me expanding my content. Your attitude towards this on your channel has solidified it for me. I’ll go my own path and those that want to join me can; those that don’t, well that’s fine too…and understandable. Thanks!

I got a Niak about a month ago. My first Hilleberg, but I love it. I've been field testing it hard, even pitching it in the Italian Alps a little over a week ago. It's dead easy to pitch, strong, palatial for one inside, and not overly crammed with features, but all the features it does have are well designed.

I bought the Unna and it's an amazing tent! It can withstand an awful lot of conditions and definitely has a vestibule. The soulo was way too small when I went to have a look at one and the vestibule is teeny

Hi, I was just watching Paul's video and noticed your comment pop up. I think we've exchanged opinions on the Unna before haven't we? Love mine. So versatile and roomy. Beefed it up with 10 mm poles and a couple of extra guys. I think it's still underrated by many people.

The only issue I had with the Soulo BL was condensation. With the flap on the inner door open, condensation would still form on the inner wetting the foot of my sleeping bag when touched, water droplet would also form on the inside of the inner eventually and drip, but not enough to be an issue.. Solved the sleeping bag end getting wet with an expensive sleeping bag cover from PHD. The Soulo has restricted porch space but inner tent space is perfect as you dont touch the inner except the sleeping bag end, the shape being perfect. For bad weather , take a 2nd short pole for the Soulo BL giving complete faith in it no matter what the wind direction. Due to bad experiences in the past , if in doubt , will take the Soulo BL, as prefer overkill than taking a risk. Have had I think 6 Hilleberg tents, the Unna though not being one of them as I assumed it had no porch space. It also looks like not being easy to pitch if windy as will be a sail till pegged down unlike the Soulo or a tunnel tent. The Soulo BL may be considered heavy at about 6lbs, but lighter than the Tarra I used to haul around weighing about 10 lbs.

The inner of the Unna can be folded right back and a helinox chair can be easily used inside if you are not too tall. Gives even more space for cooking safely.

It’s all about perspective and usage re Soulo vs Unna. I’d only want the Soulo on the summits and in the winter. That peace of mind is everything when alone on the mountain, the weather can change so quickly. Soulo, for me, is the daddy. I’ve used the Unna a few times and I’d prefer it lower down or in better weather, but in those scenarios I’d be using a Trekking pole tent anyway. Anyway, just thought I’d give an alternative perspective mate ⛰️

Paul, at the start of this challenge, you challenge all of us to do the same. I said I would, but have only managed one video and a couple of shorts! What I have done though is think about the creative process and even how i "run" my life. Its been illuminating and Im pleased with the changes Ive made and the promise for the future. Its been great seeing you go through this, some of your videos (well, most) have been top quality and very entertaining, but the best part is seeing you enjoy yourself and I think youve grown as a content creator. Thank you, and I really hope that you manage to maintain the number of videos that you produce, maybe not every single day, but certainly more shorter style vids.

Some gadgets sell themselves. That's a great drone for those tired of faffing with technology and just want something user-friendly and simple. While it may not have the image quality of a DGI, it certainly doesn't have poor image quality, at least from my perspective. Video is much like audio in that you can have some audiofiles be disgusted at anything below 320kbps while most folks just don't care, since they aren't listening on a $300 speaker. Most watching these videos are watching at 1080p or less, so the drone's footage is still good, imo. I've always like the idea of a drone but been too lazy to get one. The one you showed here is the one I'd be most likely to pick up. Kudos to the creators for thinking about what people actually want. The noise canceling is impressive too, though I'd hope future iterations cancel less ambient noise - I'm sure they can work that out. I've been enjoying your daily videos. I think the split you're seeing might be folks who are here for your activities, versus people who are here for you/your personality. There are some folks I watch and I like what they do, more so than care to listen to their life and troubles. Then there are folks like you where I'm here for you, your personality, and opinions. Its not like I don't get enough camping videos in my feed from another half-dozen youTubers so if that's all I wanted, I'd just watch those. I think the variety is refreshing- helps to keep the channel fresh, and keep your mind active and spirits high. So I've been enjoying it. If you're happier with this format, I reckon that's great for most. You've come a long way over the past year. So, what happened to that van I think you and Jo kitted out? I remember some vids about it, but I figured you'd be using it to travel a bit more, and that it might feature in further videos. Jo's art is awesome. There are some folks who paint and the main benefit is it makes them happy, rather than them creating any impressive art. Not the case here - I'd be happy with her art on every wall. Great eye.

Drones in general but in particular this rather high pitched Hover drone: I find it quite annoying being out in nature and then hearing a really high pitched Hover drone. Total disrespect of other people’s space and enjoyment of nature. Leave no trace isn’t only about not littering etc, but also not disturbing those around you who are also enjoying the nature. Obviously pilot can choose when and and when not to fly a drone so as not to disturb others.
