@HECTORMONTALVO-le9cn nope, nothing whatsoever. I don't know how true it is, but I read that it was an Amazon Prime streaming exclusive, which is why it didn't get a release. The only problem now is that it's only on there to buy, not stream as part of Prime. Hopefully, that'll pave the way for a physical release.

When it comes to Star Wars and comic properties, be it Marvel or DC, I find it best to discuss these with friends of mine who I tend to see them with, whether we agree or disagree, as we can not only read each other but keep it civil. When you get to comment sections with largely anonymous strangers, things can go awry. Horror at least seems the most sane as it's not only a passionate genre, but we're spoiled for choice with new content, even among the sequels and imitations. And even these can bring in unexpected material worth checking out.

Couldn’t agree more, some of these fans really make it hard to separate my actual thoughts on movies from the online discourse, especially with Marvel and DC. I’m glad I’ve found horror to be an extremely accepting fandom and it feels like people have a higher tolerance for other opinions

To answer your question of a movie I never got around to but finally saw and became obsessed with was The Crow (1994). I know it's 30 years old but I watched this movie for the first time last year and immediately fell in love with it. Seriously one of my all time favourites and I don't know how I slept on this one for so long lol

I love the horror community. Some of the most awesome and most nicest people I’ve met. I also grew up watching Walking Dead which is horror related somewhat. So I think the horror community is really awesome. Movies I’ve seen in the past 2 to 3 years that I fell in love with. The ones that comes to mind. Is Scream, Chucky, and Evil Dead. I watched all of those movies and I just fell in love with them. Now they’re some of my all time favorites.

A little off topic but John Campea is a pos. That guy is a failed director/writer mostly living off his wife's money but now, he knows all, he's such a lapdog for the Hollywood machine and nobody can disagree with him. Putting that aside, a small number of fans can go overboard in anything, it can be movies, sports or whatever. Hollywood especially Disney deserves most of the blame for what they've said and for what they're putting out. The majority of people male or female think Kathleen Kennedy sucks and that Disney Star Wars has been mostly trash. The great thing about horror are most horror directors/writers like Damien Leone is the complete opposite of someone like a Kathleen Kennedy, he's a horror fan and he's not trying to bash or lecture his fans.
@DrumdumsXtraАй бұрын
I think he has a different pov, and that's fine.
@BishopWalters12Ай бұрын
@@DrumdumsXtra I would accept it if he was being real, but Campea is a leech and Jon Schnepp's girlfriend couldn't even stand him or how he pretended to be close friends with Schnepp after he died in 2018.

One thing I've noticed as I've become a bigger and bigger snob is that I will criticize the Hell out of a film or films, but other fans get a pass because what's really going on is that I'm a bit jealous that they can enjoy a film or films that I find to be contemptible. For example: The David Gordon Green Halloween (alleged) Trilogy. I can't tolerate it for the solid reasons that the filmmaker spends too much time telling the audience that he, too, has seem all of the Halloween movies and letting the film be the tool of an activist. Never mind the tone def and out of place third installment. However... IF you like those films, more power to you! I'd prefer fans to be happy with the product they receive even if I find that I cannot be. Genre be damned!

What a nightmare that was. This past spring I was like... I'm out. I want no more part of this world. But yeah. The Horror community might be my favorite 'cause one thing I noticed about the horror fandom recently, there are so many fuckin' different people in that fandom. It is so cool to see. Especially with the Halloween fans. I've noticed this with but Ya got big metal heads, ya got hip hop heads, ya got girl next door type, boy next door type. Punkers, nerds, ect I think it's so cool to see so many different looks and personalities in the horror fandom and overall being so cool to each other.

I think all fandoms are toxic to a degree. They often act like a possessive lover, always trying to keep their object of affection the same. But where horror fans are different is that we know that the thing we love is not well regarded by most others. There are a few great horror films, but most of them are trash. And that’s part of why we love them. As a result, a stranger can come along and criticize a film, and we’re like, “yeah, that’s fair, but I still love it.”

horror fans are much more docile because they have done a good job of managing fear thanks to horror.

I would never let that happen to me. The fandom's opinion is worth less than zero to me. Even the director's opinion is irrelevant to my personal experience of a film. For instance, Blade Runner is my favirite movie of time. I discovered it on vhs and I made a cult out of it even before knowing what was a cult movie. And I don't care what anybody says but to me the real Blade Runner is the one with the voicever and the happy ending. Sorry, Ridley Scott, but you are wrong.

I have to disagree Drumdums. I believe the horror community can be the worst sometimes. A lot of horror fans gaslight people and they think they can take a movie and just simply decide what genre it is depending on “how they feel deep down inside.” They try to throw the horror tag on everything. If there’s a little blood, it’s a horror movie! If there’s a scene that takes place at night in a graveyard, it’s a horror movie! If something horrible happens, it’s a horror movie! You can’t walk up to a horror fan and say, “look man, Se7en isn’t a horror movie just because you feel like it is, it’s not.” It’s literally a fact that Se7en isn’t horror, it’s literally a fact that Terminator isn’t a slasher. I’m a horror fan btw. Just because you feel horrified during a movie doesn’t make it a horror film. Genres are not defined based on the feelings of the audience. For example, Avengers was a superhero movie before anyone seen it. They didn’t release the film in theaters so the audience could go, “you know what? I feel deep down inside that this is a superhero movie.”
