Will you ask these five questions of your pastor or trusted Christian expert? Most people just believe in the Trinity because that is how they were raised. Tradition has been passed down from generation to generation and no one seems to be asking whether or not this doctrine is biblical. If you care about this subject, if this is important to you, if you want to know who God really is, then you owe it to yourself to wrestle with these questions

Time after time when we engage in conversation with other Christians about these issues we are brushed off with appeals to our human limitations. They tell us that the Trinity is a mystery that we just have to accept by faith. We are cautioned that we are not capable of understanding God. Though there is some truth in this type of sentiment, we still consider such appeals to incomprehensibility as cheating. I mean, let's just reverse our positions for a moment. You be the Unitarian and I'll be the Trinitarian. You try to convince me that my beliefs are unbiblical, anachronistic, and illogical. You make some solid arguments and rather than listening and really considering what you are saying I say, "Well, I hear what you are saying, but really, you just need to accept that this is a mystery that you cannot understand; you just have to believe it." If I pulled that on you, wouldn't you feel like that was dirty? Yet, this is what happens over and again. We have to be willing to change our beliefs if they are wrong. May God help us!

@@annelarm9492 1. Muhammad (PBUH) never preached any thing violent (in context), that I know of. 2. I don't know how violence, sexuality, divorce, and peace came into this discussion. I was talking about how every community has problems. This video was about the holy trinity and if we look at this logically, the trinity doesn't make any sense. Of course I understand the idea of god is something we can't fathom, but belief of a superior deity has to based on some sort of reason or logic. The holy trinity isn't really logical and is lacking in reason (I could give you a few points on this but this is turning into something else so I'll stop for now). 3. Essentially, if we base our beliefs on logic and reason and we don't blindly believe, Islam comes out as the most sensible religion. I try to open my eyes and look at other's point of views but nothing really adds up like Islam does. I'm not gonna try preaching because i'm no professional, nor am I that educated. But, I hope you can look around and see what makes most sense to you. P.S. I don't really get it when you say Muhammad's (PBUH) teachings contradict with Isa (AS) (aka. Jesus), can you give me a few examples of such?

You are correct 100% the trinity is false. We should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and to receive the gift of the holy spirit. This is why people who are baptized in titles do not have a spiritual transformation or have the gift of speaking in tongues. God has woken me up to the Truth and so many are decieved by the trinity and the most problematic part is they will argue all day about it and shame you for not accepting the trinity baptism in titles. They refuse to accept that Jesus Christ is the name above every other name. The trinity is leading people to a false baptism that does not have the power to make you a new being in Christ Jesus.

Then explain why God's Word states all 3 (Tri) entities resurrected Jesus from the dead: 1.) Acts 4:10-God the Father raises Jesus from the dead. 2.) John 2:19-Jesus declared that He will raise Himself up in 3 days 3.) Romans 8:11-The Holy Spirit raises Jesus from the dead. And if the Bible affirms that all three Triune nature of the Godhead raises the Begotten Son from the dead. Then that confirms one of many passages in the Bible supporting the doctrine of the Trinity. No one or nothing can raise the Lord from the dead, except the Triune God Himself.

That verse proves that the Quran is NOT perfectly preserved as Islam claims. The LORD is "Allah" and the Messiah (Christ Jesus) just as it is written in our Bible. The Quran AFFIRMS the scripture that came before the Quran. So, if Muhammad taught anything different than what GOD revealed to the prophets before the Quran (and he did), then that exposes Muhammad as a false prophet because GOD cannot contradict HIMSELF. You as a mere mortal don't have the wisdom and knowledge to DEFINE who GOD is to your own satisfaction. Christ Jesus came into the world in the flesh and revealed the ONE TRUE GOD to all of humanity. The Trinity Doctrine is not an invention of men, it is the revelation received from Christ Jesus. The Triune Nature of the ONE TRUE GOD is found not only in the New testament scripture, but the Old Testament scripture as well. This is what scripture reveals: 1. The Father is God. 2. When you use the Greek Septuagint (old testament that Jesus probably used), you won't find the word YHWH(יהוה). When Moses asked God for His name, God answered "hayah Asher hayah"/ "ehyah asher ehyah, which can mean different things including "I am who I am", "I will become what I choose to become", "I am what I am", "I will be what I will be", "I create what I create", or "I am the Existing One". You are asking a fair question, but I think you misunderstand what the doctrine of the trinity actually says. The word "trinity" is used to describe the nature of God's being as described in the Bible. You are essentially saying "The Father is not The Son!", and that is CORRECT. To believe in the Trinity is not to believe that The Father, The Son, and The Holy are the same persons, the Bible is clear that they are not the same person. What the Trinity does say is that these 3 persons, in a higher and more holy way than our mortal minds can comprehend, together are ONE God. This is to reconcile the biblical statement that the Lord our God is one God. There's some other aspects to the doctrine of the trinity, namely that these 3 persons are coeternal (These 3 always have been and always will be) and coexistent (Think of the Baptism of Jesus, all 3 were present at the same time). This affirms the Biblical truth that God is eternal and that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit act in perfect unison. On a really shallow level, consider your favorite sports team. It's comprised of multiple persons, who act together in perfect unison to be one. It's not incredibly fruitful to try and liken the nature of God, which our finite minds cannot completely grasp, to something so simple, but just to give a simple example I like that one.

From the beginning, the plurality yet singularity of the LORD God of Israel is manifest. From the beginning, his nature is established. One God, multiple personages. I don't understand how that can be ignored. I used to be the prime audience for this video; I used to deny the trinity because it makes no sense. I used to deny that Jesus was God until I read 1 Timothy 3:16. The trinity is not this idea that was decided overnight by some pagan cult. Centuries of debate over scripture, theology, and understanding by competent Christian and Jewish scholars led us to it. We need to get that misconception out of the church of Christ. The trinity makes no sense, but maybe its not meant to. The fact that we don't understand the nature of God is not evidence against it. It is impossible to understand the nature of God because God is above human understanding. I do not know about those with whom you have spoken, I can tell you that while I am not defensive about the doctrine of the Trinity, because I believe quite firmly that denying the Trinity means one is not a Christian and is not saved, it causes me great consternation when one rejects it. (btw - my own brother denies the Trinity which means I have had many years of discussing this whole issue.) There is one thing that must be kept in mind: Does the doctrine of the Trinity make human sense? NO! Not at all. To my rational mind it is ludicrous. So what! I'm not God. Since when is something true only when it makes rational sense to me. The real question is does the Bible teach that God is three, separate persons while at the same time there is only ONE God? The new testament speaks of our belief in Jesus as the propitiation of our sins as necessary for salvation ALL over the place. Every writer says it in multiple ways, using different wording so that you can't botch this essential doctrine. If you are unable to find a single Scripture that says we must believe Jesus is God to be saved, or have to gather it in your own understanding, then you must be willing to walk away from that belief. I am a Christian. I hold to The Bible as ultimate authority and believe that Jesus was the Christ and died so that I might be reconciled to God. To say that we must have a perfect understanding of who God is in order to be saved is a belief that your own views cannot afford. God does not demand that kind of intelligence or scholarship.

Very great points made here. Some cite 1 John 5:7 as the description of the trinity. Anyone who’s study New Testament studies will know that this verse was not found in any of the original Greek texts, rather it was added in at a later date to fit the trinity concept. Almost every Christian scholar knows this. If the trinity was true, this would make sense: God sent Himself to earth and God humbled God while on earth. God was still Divine, but God did not know the hour of the judgement (Mark 13:32). God also cursed a fig tree because even though God Created all things including the fig tree, for some reason God didn’t know that it wasn’t the season for figs, so God curses His own creation, which was the fig tree (Mark 11:14). God then prayed to Himself asking... Himself to let the fate of crucifixion pass (Mathew 26:39) from Him. God then was affixed on the cross and God cried out... to Himself "why have I forsaken myself?" (Mathew 27:46) and then God sacrificed Himself... to Himself (no one is on bargaining terms with God) and God died for the sins of mankind. God changed his ways of holding people accountable for their sins, despite how He said "I am Jehovah; I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6) and how the Bible says that God “does not vary or change like the shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)... instead of simply forgiving mankind when they repent (like He did since he beginning of mankind on earth, all throughout the Old Testament).

For those who feel John 1:1 explains Jesus as being equal to God, look at the original greek wording and also read Professor Jason BeDuhn's book 'Truth in Translation' - John 1:1 has been wrongly translated in many Bible translations. So regardless of how much it does or doesn't make sense, you're going to choose to believe whatever because that's what you 'want' to do Also, the bible has undergone dozens of 'revisions/changes' since it came into existence (revised standard version etc). If you compare bibles today to others 80yrs ago, there are drastic changes that were made, many in areas where certain words were said that caused concepts to be problematic for people. So those words were changed.......or it makes people feel better hearing that they were "revised", or "updated" etc. And the bible itself strongly condemns ANY adding or taking away from it 🤔 And there's so many versions of it, which is correct....new revised version, king james version, catholic bible (which has 7 more books than the others). I do not believe in the doctrine of the trinity and I cannot be also an Unitarian, because since Genesis to Revelation talks about Jesus the only begotten of the Father. Patty Sherwood Yeli Cabrera It was added to prove the trinity, long before the councils where most oneness proponents claim it was invented. Proving it was a central doctrine before the third century. Many scriptures were supposedly added to make what was written more clear. If it was added we would have to conclude God wanted it that way or the whole new testament fails. Their is no original so like modern source critics claim the whole thing was the result of additions as controversy's came up. By making statements like it was added later you question the authority of all scripture without realizing it. The same inspiration must have been in charge of all additions or we no longer have a reliable word of God. Modern liberal source criticism has cut the new testament to shreads..

The message of 1 John 5:4-12 is that the people who are born of God have victory over the world. They believe that Jesus is the son of God, who came by water and blood. The Spirit bears witness also. The three that bear witness on earth are the Spirit, the water and the blood. These three agree in one. These testify of the son. So, if you believe in him, you have the witness of the Spirit, the water, and the blood in you. When you have had your heart sprinkled with the blood during your process of repentance, because you believe in him and want to live for him, and you have been baptized in water in the name of Jesus for the remission of your sins because you believe his commands to be baptized, and you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the initial sign, because you believe this gift is for you and comes from Jesus, then you have the witnesses you need which testify that you have eternal life through the son of God. The blood is sprinkled on your heart, you have the water of your baptism in the name of Jesus testifying for you, and the Spirit of God you receive testifies through you when you speak in tongues and shout your victory . If you don't have these witnesses, you don't have eternal life and you don't have Jesus in the way that he wants you to experience him. I know you may think I am crazy for having this interpretation, but these witnesses are personally applied to those who believe. The witnesses are not general, but specific within the believers. The Lord showed me this interpretation. May it bless someone reading who has ears to hear and a heart to understand. I have repented often, I was baptized once in Jesus' name and witnessed the amazing joy of being cleansed of all sins. I received the gift of the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues and shouted with joy unspeakable. These witnesses are still in me after 34 years. I recommend these experiences to everyone.

It is one thing to look upon Jesus (quite rightly) as an object of worship, a god if you like, but to bestow upon Him a status equal to that of The Father is totally against the teaching of the Bible. I am not suggesting that Jesus was merely a man, or an Angel of God. He was uniquely the Son of God. In the Bible He is never referred to as God the Son. This is a church title for Him. We read in John 1- 'we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father...' Jesus said in John 14- 'My Father is greater than I'. The standard trinitarian response to this is usually along the lines- 'while He was on earth, He was subject to the Father', yet the same trinitarians quote John 10:30- 'I and My Father are one' as proof of His equality with the Father!!! Its not difficult to see the contradiction here. In John 10, Jesus is clearly talking about being one in purpose and mind with His Father. The context is the salvation of the sheep and a careful reading of this passage shows that Jesus was not claiming any kind of equal status with the Father. This is supported elsewhere in Johns gospel (7:16-18; 12:49,50; 8:28,42; 13:16; etc). A careful and humble consideration of these words of Jesus will leave us with no doubt about Him being subservient to His Father. It is clear that Jesus is not stating this relationship with His Father as applying for just a part of His life. The Apostle Paul clearly understood this subservient aspect of The Lords relationship with His Father and taught it to the Gentiles (I Corinthians 8:6; 11:3; 15:24-28; I Timothy 2:5; Ephesians 4:6; 5:20; etc). Note also the way in which Paul begins most of his Letters (as does Peter and John)- 'Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ'. How is it possible to read all the references above and conclude that Jesus was in any way equal to The Father. The writer to the Hebrews (chpt 1) gives clarity to the elevated position of Jesus when He says that 'God has spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things ...Jesus having become so much better than the Angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For to which of the Angels did He ever say: You are My Son, Today I have begotten You? ...let all the Angels of God worship Him ...Your throne O God is for ever and ever'. It is clear that this elevated status is given to Jesus from His Father, but it is also clear, that Jesus has not been given a position equal to His Father. It goes on to say- 'You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, YOUR GOD, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than your companions'. The doctrine of the Trinity stands on the premise of the equality of The Father and The Son. THIS DOCTRINE IS CLEARLY FALSE, even though it is believed by the vast majority of christians. To this I would say, look to the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew (7:13-15). Jesus Christ was The Son of God and is the Mediator of Gods Covenant of Peace to all who would believe in Him.

Once you understand the Trinity, it is very easy to understand. Your video contains errors, i.e. God said Let US create man in OUR image. This negates your claim that God only refers to Himself as singular. Mining scriptures does not prove anything. The concept of the Trinity is too deep to explain in a 10 min. video with hand-picked verses. But as I stated before, once you understand the trinity, it is so obvious that you wonder how you could have missed it. Sort of like algebra, until you understand it, it seems incomprehensible. Unless you believe that Jesus IS God, you will never understand the Trinity. Do you believe that Jesus is who He said He was?

I can not find a place in the Bible where Jesus claimed to be God. Can you give me one since you are asking me to believe what He says about Himself? I do believe what Jesus says about Himself and here's what I hear Him saying. I believe Jesus claimed to be the Messiah and I do believe that He was and is the Messiah. Also, 1 Tim. 2:5 says that there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Messiah Jesus. So the man Jesus is the Messiah/Christ. I agree with you that understanding who Jesus is, is something that is spritually discerned. But we find in John that it was those who did not have spiritual discernment who thought Jesus was claiming to be God. See John 10:33 for an example of this. These same people thought that Jesus was offering them His flesh to eat, Jn. 6. Do you hear what Jesus is saying about Himself in this Jn. 10 passage? Do you believe He's the Messiah, or do you believe He's God? In this passage He basically says He's not God. We already learned from 1 Tim. that the Messiah is a man. And He can't be both God and man because to be one is to exclude the other. If a man is a God then that man is no man! The Messiah was a man who claimed the Father was greater than He was, Jn. 14:28. There is no one greater than God. Now that I have told you how I am thinking further and answered your question, I am still curious about your answer to my earlier questions.

Also, everywhere in the bible are examples that show Jesus, the father and the Holy Spirit all possessing the same attributes, such as omniscience, omni-presence, etc. Jesus at times would say that only God can (whatever) and then He, Jesus, would do the very thing that He claimed only God can do.
