There’s a couple videos online by these people called CG Fasttrack that they have for free (before you buy their course) that were very good for setting me up with the basic knowledges of blender.

Ohhh, this makes me so jealous of Blender. Seeing outlines get added so easily in Blender will always make me die inside. I've dabbled in it a little bit for some technical work - like exporting an elevation map for a mrere 5s of a video... but I'm firmly in Source 2 now. I was never much of an artist, so instead I've got a goal of pushing Source to its technical limits. The SFM community on Discord is just as vibrant as 3DTubing, they're a lovely lot.

It's just *so **_awesome!_* Every video akin to this one gives me more drive to get continue with Blender, to keep learning and reaching new milestones in my 3D competencies so I can inch closer to doing the things I've always daydreamed of. Plus, seeing how artists approach their work has even helped me re-think how I do 2D work, and I've gotten SO much better than I was this time last year. I'm more confident, I'm taking on new challenges, and I'm having a genuinely fun time while doing it... And I attribute a lot of my gained enthusiasm to creators like you - people that share their joy for creation. Thanks for the uplifting video, best of luck on your creative ventures, and keep being an awesome animator!

...omnichord backing track? neat edit: honestly I think when people say "every frame of spiderverse looks like it came out of a comic" what they're really seeing is the directing. The way they move the camera and position the characters, combined with the aesthetic choices using comic book 'artifacting' for lack of a better term, mean that it's really easy to picture each set of shots as a series of comic panels. Kind of hard not to once I noticed it tbh

Great video! I'm glad to be apart of the '3d tuber' community. I like that once a 3d model is made, It can be used for however long I see fit. You can pour so much detail into little things and then use them for as long as needed. And you aren't creating extra work for yourself by including all that detail like 2D would suffer from.
