Reminds me of my step dad who passed away last year (2023) at 93. He was as sharp as this guy and a WW2/Korea vet.

I agree. His mind still works so fast and he speaks as well as an adult of any age. I've seen only one other 90+ year old speak nearly this sharp, but perhaps ever so slightly slower when speaking than him.

This is what it is all about, the ride of a community beats within its high school and the individuals within it. As a coach, I hope this inspires more to follow in his footsteps because most people do not realize how much these games mean to kids and all the work they have put in. And if no one from home can come watch, having someone cheer you on from the stands means the world to a young person.

Then there's Giles Pellerin, who attended every game USC played from 1926, when he was a student there, to 1998, when he had cardiac arrest in his seat during a game and was pronounced dead in the Rose Bowl parking lot. When his streak started, only 4 teams currently in the NFL existed. When he died, it was Peyton Manning's rookie season.
