This is how sad gaming has become, Fortnite was unique in its own way (building) in a at the time trendy genre aka battle royale, and since it was different than the rest, instead of other companies inspiring they’re own projects and games through Fortnite, they straight up copied them in every way except for building, tbh im surprised nobody took the building aspect and added it to their own games

If Fortnite hadn’t taken the spotlight, something else would have. If you’re looking for fun, there are always more casual-focused or indie games to explore. The gaming experience is only as broad as your willingness to expand your perspective and look beyond the mainstream slop.
