This episode was amazing, everything from the classic lull in the beginning where everything is normal then the slow corruption of the clones until they were able to reveal themselves and take direct action to Ahsoka and Barriss’ confrontation. This episode is one of my ten favorites because of how they shook up the formula

I find it interesting how the brain worms episode come back to haunt Ahsoka in a way later in the series with her choices. She chose to save Barris from the worm and at the time it was a purely heroic act that seemed like it would have no negative consequences. But by saving her life Ahsoka unintentionally allowed Barris to fall as later in the war she turned on both the Republic and her friend. If Ahsoka had killed Barris there, even on accident caused by the worm, like what happened with the lieutenant, then the bombing would have never happened.

He might've never turned if Ahsoka had never left the Order and further pushed a wedge between Anakin and the Jedi Council, which allowed Anakin to take the final step in siding with Palpatine over the Jedi Masters. Hell, Ahsoka might've even been present during the confrontation between Mace Windu and Palpatine. It would've been a huge butterfly effect to kill Barriss, whose actions later in the Clone Wars led the Order and Jedi down an even darker path.

For those people who want to consider Rebels...Kalani did survive. He was in control of a group of surviving B1s and destroyer Droids and briefly fought Kanan, Ezra, Rex and took Zeb prisoner before they teamed up to deal with the Empire. He escaped, and what happened to him...who knows, I don't. I say "For those people who want to consider Rebels" due to the...mixed reception Rebels has gotten.

I always remembered the bit where the clones under the mind control had blurted out "If there's one thing we clones know how to do well is to kill Jedi" Hinting towards Order 66, which is fascinating to me because the mind control also has an element of mind reading so upon discovering the order it ran with it as a goal and in their best interest, an outbreak of Zombie clones would have been so cool and different for star wars

I suppose the reason why i have grown fond of horror since i've started to actually follow KZbin years ago, is that most fictions where we see characters go on an adventure (willing or not) never truly end up showing the inner flaws of people. At worst, when those flaws are somewhat shown, the show itself seem to try to make the viewer/player/consumer forget that they have ever seen it by covering our attention with (often emotional) distractions. The real charm of the horror genre is that it depict situations where characters are pushed into showing their true colors. If being able to ignore a person's inner darkness is a source of comfort, horror takes away all of that with the clear intent to mark you at your core. Take away your inner comfort zone and you end up having no choice but seeing things as what they are, instead of what you hope they are. (Or succumb to your own delusions, in a desperate attempt at keeping your comfort zone.) In a way, the horror genre can be the most educational of all fictions. I dunno for you all, but i love anything that genuinely teaches me something.
