@@jonsmith3961 It's so easy to blame one side, but in reality, it's that very blame game that is fucking up the country. Identity politics results in a lack of efficiency and a buildup of tension. I am liberal with plenty of friends from both sides of the spectrum. We engage in civil discussions. We have real dialogue, because tribal warfare is a waste of time. I have no issue with you being Republican. We just look at things through different lenses. I don't have all the answers and neither do you. Nobody does. That's why we have to put aside our differences to figure this shit out.
@jonsmith3961
@jonsmith3961 3 жыл бұрын
@@mmmchikenwangz8005 ok first off I'm liberal, just not woke terrorist liberal lol I'm the liberal that believes in women's rights in the middle east even if that means calling out muslims, that free speech includes ALL points of view that dont fall into actual crimes, I dont believe in censoring anyone and expanding fake definitions to censor them, that science shouldn't be thrown away to pretend theres no such thing as gender, freedom of religion even though I'm not religious. There will always be discourse but theres still a reality of right and wrong and right now the woke left is destroying real peoples lives, property, citys and taking away from Americans the freedoms that a true liberal should defend. There committing violence and mayhem on a scale that I'm sorry the "right" is not. Anyone sane is against this, from all colors to all political standings. And I wont blame people trying to fight back and defend themselves, there family's and others as being part of the problem. You can excuse anything by that way of thinking and it's not okay. Just because people dont want to passively be terrorized, beat and robbed as mobs of "protesters" run around unchecked by the law does not make the people that try and fight back to blame by any means. I've seen this first hand and it's the LEFT that's inciting, covering for, and excusing whatever they want now. My side has lost there way, and I can clearly see that.

There’s no cycle it’s just that areas don’t stay the same because industry and the economy is always changing mostly in an unpredictable out of cycle way. Wealthy people want to always be in the new cool place so neighborhoods are always changing when the rich move into new areas. With the middle class more or less gone from America the rich are so much more wealthy than the average American. This leads to people constantly being priced out of cities they used to live in by rich people suddenly thinking its cool to live there. Cities used to be the poor mans domain now the new generation of wealthy children are kicking them out.

Republicans saved NYC and dems ruined it. Then he says it’ll figure itself out and doesn’t even realize Giuliani is the one who figured it out for them last time

Tim brought up the idea of mass displacement during the coronavirus pandemic which is honestly an ongoing issue especially in the East. Cities like New Orleans do not have effective rent control to protect tenants. This was already an issue in many cities across the nation where many tenants that are primarily lower-middle and lower class economically were getting kicked to the curb with barely any notice. Rent control is what a lot of big cities, especially ones with a significant immigrant population, should have in order to make sure that landlords cannot blacklist you from renting (happens often after fighting a case against the landlord themselves) and that you aren't evicted on notice less than what you're prepared for.

I live in NYC and I don't know what violence these guys are talking about. I go out with my kids to the Park every day, go for bike rides and no problem at all, if I felt unsafe I would instantly move out. The only "bad" thing happening is that finally the fake realstate bubble is bursting and the city might just become "affordable" again. Median price for a two bedroom here is 4k a month just so you guys get a sense of how bad it is.

Haha..you're either in denial, making it political, or just a terrible bullshitter!!! Bc I live in NYC and see it everyday. Even the most Liberal residents in New York are NOT denying the violence, either. Also, it's hard to deny while tons of New Yorkers are posting videos of daily violence, homelessness, drug use that's going on in their neighborhoods
