I agree and not even for the speed, the experience is just so much better. You are controlling the car a lot more, getting to feel the limit, makes you feel like an actual racer. It can be very frustrating at first especially with contoller, that's why most people don't even try, but once you get used to it, it's like you've discovered a new world.
@anteplibela2 жыл бұрын
@@yordanmalinov6419 Exactly, playing with controller takes away from the immersion so much already, that's why I like to have as much control over the car as possible, to keep the little immersion I have left. If spinning and being generally slower than wheel users is the price I have to pay for a more realistic experience, then so be it.

I start a new game with all assists off. It's easier to get used to the game once than have to get used to it two, three, or four times as you progressively remove assists. I know people who start racing games with automatic transmission and even after they get good (which is extremely easy in automatic) they are too scared to switch. It's like I'm racing with kids who still have their training wheels on. lol

I have tried using No TC ever since I started playing 2021, compared to 2020 I feel the handling model allows the use of No TC more. However I have noticed some strange quirks of this game, first is the random loss of traction when leaving a traction zone its unpredictable and just happens. Second is there is a difference with the engines, Merc engine has a sudden burst of torque at lower revs, while honda is linear. Anyways my struggle with No TC is the random snaps you get that just lead into a full spin. Could it be throttle linearity?

TT setups are a good start, but they set up the car to be really on the edge and thus, it is easy to make the car unstable. My general rule of thumb for a good race setup is to use the TT setup but set the wings one or two clicks higher, and lower the suspension. Not suspension geometry, but suspension. Most TT setups use LOW/HIGH suspension to get the car pointy, like 1-7, 1-7, 2-7. Lower the HIGH numbers a bit to gain a bit more stability as you see fit or raise the LOW numbers, so like 2-6, 2-6, 3-6. (Just an example). TT setups are good in a pinch, but if you find yourself racing against anyone with actual skill, you might be able to keep up for the first few laps, but either your tires will wear out way faster than them, or you will end up losing time due to multiple incidents destabilizing the car with a twitchy TT setup. TT setups are good in TT because it sets the car to be fastest through the track at the cost of stability. You also don't need to worry about dirty air, tire wear, etc. But in regards to TC, it doesn't matter what your setup is. Obviously having higher rear wing will help with traction, but then you suffer at tracks where a lower rear wing would benefit you in the race.

I find these comparisons a bit missleading because you can't drive the same way when you have TC on or OFF. With medium TC you still can apply enough throttle to spin but the car will do it in a more controlled way. I mostly do time trial aiming at top 5-10% in the rankings in each track and I usually can get the same times with TC off and TC medium after a few laps. My advice is if you are very inconsistent or you are learning a new track, use the TC on medium. Turn it off when you start to do 4-5 laps without mistakes.

Doesn't TC only kick in when you're in a wheel spin. If you drove the car as if you had no TC even tho you had it on. Would the times be similar?

Its unreal how much TC slows you haha,i've tried with medium first went down near 5 tents faster in first lap and until i've got hang off it fully went down -1 point smth which was awesome,i've tried with fully off but i have difficulties adjusting with throttle pressure on controller i feel like if i had steering wheel(which i plan to buy soon T300 RS)i'd have better perception on how much i should tap it based on real life experience but it seems more fun indeed 😁

Is there a video where you tell how to drive without tc?
@matiko132 жыл бұрын
You are with High, medium and off traction control changing gears not in this same method. Like in Hight Traction Control you having 7 gear longer and on medium traction control you not hold on 7 gear and with off traction control on corner you changing from 3 to 4/5 and then doing throotle. So this times can be better with traction controls when you will drive on this same gears changings like in traction control off.
