F1 23 might be the best game handling wise. I can probably go over the limits without having to feather the throttle a whole bunch of times especially on kerbs, which shouldn't be lethal cuz in real life they're technically not.

Going from full to medium yielded me some 1s and something. As it was I was "only" 2,8s from LucasBlakeley88 record at Spa on F1 2018. And in my career, at China, I was 1s ahead of second on FP1 on a harder compound. Keep up the good work, these videos you've been posting are so educational and easy to follow, mate. Grats! Can't wait for your setup videos, I'd love to see how you approach it

Great video! I started out with a cheap wheel and lots of assist, but I recently upgraded to a Thrustmaster T300 and now I'm gradually learning to drive with less assists. I just learnt to drive without the racing line, and it makes it so much more enjoyable, but I still drive with some brake assist, medium traction control and automatic gears. But videos like these are so encouraging and helpful to make the steps to turn off the assists. So thank you and keep up the good work!

Great tutorial. I’ve tried TC off for the first time in f1 2020. And in f1 2021 I turned it off since the beginning. The key for me is the short shifting and up shift the 4th gear asap. Still from times to times I spin out and my starts are terrible but we getting there.

Honestly, the only thing that REALLY helps is taking time to get used to it. I started F1 2019 on a pad, bought a g29 a month later, and decided to turn off all assists, except the racing line of course. I watched every single video I could but it really just came down to spending the time practicing. After about a month, I went from 50 AI Difficulty with a game pad to 90 AI Difficulty with a wheel. Just don't give up. Good luck to you all.

For me it was lowering my brake threshold to about 5 , it made my left trigger(brake button) a lot more in control ,if your brake threshold is too high which mine was when I tried to switch at first then you just lock up too much

Increase the force feedback for your triggers on break and accelerate. And increase the linear to 50 on both and u Will have smoother input and can feel when your about to lock up and spin

Opening the throttle to 50% in the first traction phase is the correct way to accelerate without active traction control because in this way the load transfer of the car is more or less equally distributed between the front and rear axles. That's the secret, nothing more, nothing less.
@Plate-2 жыл бұрын
do all or majority of your tips apply to controller players also? cuz i feel like the throttle management and opening the steering are much trickier than on an actual f1-like wheel setup.. and the shifting is quite clunky, sometimes it doesnt let me downshift for some reason when i set it to manual, any other setting to change im missing?
