Why Wasn't She Buried With Her Son?

There are many flowers on her grave they may not be visible but they are there in there millions. Any body that doesn't have any sympathy for her must be a real piece of work! Live her life and see how YOU feel after all that! And don't get me started on religion, religion has caused more problems on this earth than anything else in human history. Disrespect for one another, unity for the human race and war, child abuse and common sense. What makes you think out of all the people in the world that your religion or god is the one, just shows that most of you are not very smart??? Look what's happening in the middle east as I speak, what is wrong with these people? Don't get me wrong about Sinead I think she just wanted to distance herself as far away as she could from her catholic upbringing as she could, and who wouldn't blame her?

I had no idea of this beautiful strong and talented lady. I could never imagine loosing custody of one of my children let alone having to bury them. Her depression is very understandable and it is so sad that mental health is not treated with the same urgency and focus as physical health. RIP

Even if she had other children to live for, the one she lost, Shane, was the only one that was the most like her and who loved her unconditionally. You can't replace one child for the others. Me and my husband lost two out of three.

Thank you for posting this visit and tribute to Sinead. I have been her fan since the release of her debut album. Being from her same generation, I think she was ahead of her time as an outspoken female artist, and sexism had a lot to do with why she had so many detractors when she would openly protest for the causes she believed in. I was lucky enough to see her on tour in 2019, ( in a theater right by my house in California )! She was amazing - her voice was as beautiful as ever, and her performance was so passionate and moving. I'll never forget how magical that show was - and how especially blessed I was to be there, not realizing she would be gone so soon.

When we there in Ireland a few months ago, the tour bus we were on was playing different Irish artists including Sinead. What came to mind then was the wonder in how she was doing since it has been in the news that she was not well after the death of her son. A month later, she was found dead. Rest in peace to a wonderful individual and thanks for this lovely tribute.

I really wish we could have met, I know I could have helped her get through her son's death. On my mothers side of the family there were three suicides, my youngest sister lost her only child through suicide, he was only nineteen. I also had a cousin's one that I grew up and the other was my youngest uncle's son. Along with that my mother threatened suicide a number of times when I was a child, too often, more times than I care to remember. The worse part of it was my father would haul me aside and tell me to go down to the shore (we lived about a 15 minute walk to the ocean) and find my mother. I can remember being absolutely terrified,thinking I would find her body hanging from a tree or being washed up on the beach in the surf. if I balked or started to cry, he would take his leather belt off his pants and threaten to use it or sometimes give me a sample. God, what a thing to do to a kid. Here in Newfoundland and well as in Nova Scotia, there is nothing to help anyone with mental health problems and it makes me angry, no one should ride that boat alone. All I know even though I was through the whole wake and funeral process with my.little sister. It was the following years that makin myself available to her by phone 24/7 we live in two different provinces. I told anytime she needs to talk, scream at someone or cry, i'll be there no matter what time day or night. It worked for us and especially her.. Anyway, as much as I don't want to say R.I.P. Sinead, maybe we will meet in heaven!!

I have been watching Sinead's live concert at AB and rockin' out! It has become my favorite. That is a cool looking cemetary you got there! I thought Sinead's final resting place is in Brey or is Brey a part of Dublin? My family's cemetary has the same ordinance. They remove flowers and memorials in June so they can mow all summer.
