Even among all groups today the interpreation of keeping the law varies among all camps and groups.. I can’t even begin to describe how the ministry of Mr. Durbin and Dr. White have shaped me in the last 2-3 years. Apologia church has been blessed with two church giants that will go down in church history. @@voiceofmanywaters3720 The modern critical text variant "monogenes theos" in John 1:18 is theologically incoherent if we are going to advocate for the trinitarian classical theism. It is the Son that is begotten (as the TR indicates). He didn't even attempt to address this. Further, he is misreading the tradition by thinking that this new form of textual criticism would have been accepted by the men of old. Dr. White is borrowing from the confession yet advocating a position that is foreign to the confession. Lastly, its not surprising that the manuscripts which contain "monogenes theos" originate geographically from regions whose churches had major issues in their Christology and Doctrine of God, namely the coptic and syriac churches....
